@@jovialjam I think that is White Fence at 35:43 but I dont know the other two
@@k134.2ii thank you!
Good man
"hey who knows stuff about amps? what does it mean when it does this?" *brrrrrrnnggg* HAHA
VERY LATE : incase you were still wondering it's called feedback !
@@domithere6782 Thanks!
where is this?
nvm its around 12:00 lol, didn't take long
@@domithere6782 actually it isn't feedback, there's no major feedback but the signal is choppy and cutting somewhere in the circuit and still partially making it through, but sounds like ass and has irrithmic cuts back and forth. It's more likely something like a busted tube or capacitor or something like that but idk what exactly is going on...
1:14:42 is Mac Demarco chugging beer with the Philadelphia Eagle's Defensive End Connor Barwin.
****The More You Know*****
i thought that was my bb boi mac!!!! luv him
Bro I thought that was Mac!!!! So glad I’m not the only one who saw it
Hahaha and they're like "stop stop stop! Mac!"
He’s at 58:00 too
@@nahmate- Lmao he looks so hurt that Mac kept chugging his beer
SO i see that "The Fourth Colour" is the opening jam session
This is gold. The closest we've ever gotten to these amazing shred lords. Hope there'll be more to come!
Also finally saw them play Slow Jam I! :)
billie it's like watching a Led Zeppelin happen, like they will have such an awesome legacy in years to come
Chunky shrapnel is upon us, if you survive the Purge!!!!
there was more to come
they are the best rock band in the past 20 years, phenomenal rock music and the comradery is powerful, who thinks they should make another one of these for 2017's 5 album adventure plus touring?
"The best rock band in the past 20 years".
Man, you don't need to exaggerate like that!
@@christiancappello6664 1. it's an opinion (one that i share), 2. who is 'better' then? i'm sure your choice could be debated too.
they are making a new one! people have seens cameras around on their current tour recording shows. most likely will be 2017-2019
@@InfernoTrials King Gizzard, in my opinion, are truly one of the best rock bands of the past 20 years. There are a few bands that compete with them such as The Mars Volta and Thank You Scientist.
I think you were on to something… 😎
53:47 for dude trying to figure out time sigs

Docugizzardry
With commentary
We got one now ;)
this aged well!
As someone with no documentary-making experience, and a great love for this band, I would love to make a documentary about King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard!
So that opening jam in the cabin has become "The Fourth Colour" off POLYGONDWANALAND. Sweet.
There goes the next two hours
Some of these crowds seem awfully quiet, I don't know how they manage to stay still when listening to King Gizz live ! But it's like there's no middle ground, either the crowds are way too quiet, or they're absolutely crazy.
Absolutely crazy would be me man, just watching them live behind a screen makes me want to go all over the fucking place.
Some crowds are in a trance 😏😉
The Fourth Colour... this guys have so much material that they've been jamming with that song since at least 2014-2015
I really wanna play in a band like that! Totally going to watch all of this stuff !
THEY MAKE ME GET UP IN THE MORNING
I was at that show at the 58 minute mark! King Gizz and Conan Mockasin opening for Mac Demarco.. best show ever!
Jesus Christ I wanna see that so bad
The Fourth Colour!!!
Max Roskilly i know right
my mouth fell open
Max Roskilly when? I cant seem to find it
dude, they're full of surprises
Yep, it's been around since 2014, apparently. And the final result can't be any better, in my opinion. It's an amazing song.
Is nobody else gonna talk about how they went to see midget wrestling?
Boxing*
King Gizz played at BRANDEIS, while I was a student there, one building away, and I didn’t find this out until JUST NOW?! I didn’t even discover them until 5 years after that and now they’re one of my absolute favorite bands! How the fuck did I miss them!!?!?!!!
they need to start playing slow jam live again
Your wish was granted! Caught it in SF this April and went into a trance.
52:56 all joking aside, how likely is it now to see this band play in a smaller setting like this? the people here are pretty lucky.
Also, the banger that is Empty.
when I saw them in 2016 it was a pretty small venue in Indiana. It was wild, I was wild and I don't remember much. They played a lot of nonagon and in your mind fuzz and trapdoor. I was very trashed that night, but it was amazing. It was a pretty small place. it was exit/in in indianapolis before they got the remodel so it was damn tight. When I left the show too I could hear other music playing across the street and i just followed it by ear(my less drunk friend and girlfriend were trying to keep up and happened into a concert put on by animator/musician jerron braxton. Really a amazing night.
i think it was unfortunate(fortunate for the few there to have an intimate set) timing and location, they were playing a set in what was basically an emptied out large classroom in the student union. Also, they're there during january when a very large number of Bing's students goes home for break, so basically all that was left were random townies, international students from china, and a scattered few who went back to bing early to party in rented houses. I think the footage after that is from a frat house or an equivalent to one, i think i'm recognizing faces but idk it was a while ago now.
there are so many highlights to this video but the dude, on the roof of his wheels, playing AC/DC's Thunderstruck is right up there.
This video is a masterpiece of tour-video! Love this! Jason Galea rules! Thank you.
Well it looks like I'll have to clear 2 hours off my schedule
really enjoyed that thanks a lot for taking the time to put it together
I personally love all those slow jams from Quarters!, they're just amazing and so relaxing. So, it was beautiful watching part of how they recorded them.
Those Nonagon lyrics have changed a lot, lmao.
What's Stu saying during the beginning of Robot Stop?
People Vultures sounded a lot different too?
or Stu just couldn’t remember them live :D
I think it was before they released Nonagon, not 100% sure though
yeah lots of this was before they released nonagon, its not unusual for them to play songs theyre working on live way ahead of actually being released
The best band on planet Earth right now. Never thought I'd see a band of this creative caliber manifest. Every show is a unique and memorable event. No one is doing what they do. All hail the King!
Thank you Jason!!! I watched this the other day and it was excellent.
3:33 mamaMAMAMA DOUU escuruyubabambambambeya boyo
11:46 Ambrose playing Improving Solutions, the Murlocs song :>
27:47 Tim Presley plays hot water
33:24 Tim Presley and Cate Le Bon give Stu a birthday cake
35:45 - White Fence plays Baxter Corner for a bit
38:24 - White Fence plays Sandra with Ambrose on harmonica
Please make a part 2 of some kind! We NEEEEEED it (well... I need it...)
You guys are killing it. Super psyched to see you in Toronto
Everyone is talking about losing 2 hours. I just lost two weeks. Thanks Gizz and crew.
if gizzo wizzo plays in south america it would be so damn wild, i really mean it we are a great audience
well your audience for Mac Demarco concerts have been shit, in Brazil at least, sorry. This is all based on videos of course.
I'd go down from Panama to see them, these guys worth it.
NICKLAS LØNBORG well i live in peru when mac came the whole audience went crazy i guess we just are like that haha
renzorco I've got a mate who lived in Peru, and he's told me stories. I believe you. And as said earlier, it's just Brazil I've heard/seen bad stories from.
@@user-dz1hl2gq2k imagine comparing Mac Demarco to king gizz
So cool watching this, to think I’m going to be seeing them fill up the Alexandra palace in October. These guys deserve every bit of success.
42:29 thank me later
love the moment when Stu looks up and realises what just happened
lmao
gonna hear that in my head at that point of the song every time now
i literally come back to this video regularly just for that bit
What does Joey say there?
R.I.P. Stu's jeans
looking back at it now, this doc is insane
Here from the future to say that Jason had a tripod and video camera at the gizz show I was just at. Looks like we might be getting an updated version of this kinda thing.
At the atlanta show?
@@JDmerkem I was at the philly show but he probably was recording more than one show
The Fourth Colour in the beginning! I knew it would be on Polygondwanaland when I heard Crumbling Castles!
50:43 "sweet crinkle"
I hope over time we see more videos like this from you. It's become one of my favorites since I feel like I'm getting to have a personal connection with some of my favorite musicians and the people who love them like me. I love coming back to watch this video
1:40:21 THE RAT'S NEST HAS BEEN CONCEIVED
unrelated but in the microtonal banana video joey plays a riff from itrn
That drunk (and probably high) old dude's story about Frankenstein was captivating as fuck. Like I wish I understood more of it cause he was so dramatic and animated during that whole thing.
The endless wait for Friday and Chunky Sharpnel brought me back here for a warm-up! 🦎
This is pure gold ! Thanks Jason !
1:34:28 this is possibly the funniest and best thing i've ever seen
Legend has it that that cabin is where they wrote all the songs that would eventually drop in 2017
Seeing these guys live is definitely on my bucket list.
42:50 i shouldve expected this but it still suprised me
Brilliantly put together. Nice cameo from Ty too :)
Where is Ty?
10:19 look how dead the crowd is lmao
A nice surprise too see some Mystery Lights live! :)
The version of God is in the Rythm at 1:15:32 is just so good.
the normal version is one of the only king gizzard songs i can't stand at all, it goes on forever. but this version is so amazing. too bad this version wouldn't really fit on any album
watched the entire thing... i do not know what to do now best youtube vid bootleg ever
47:41 in studio recording of Lonely Steel Sheet Flyer, so fucking cool!
Really awesome, thanks for posting
So interesting to hear earlier versions of some songs
Cheers from Atma and Hexer from Dortmund, Germany! We love you!!
so jammy so good, fucking hell love these guys! I also love the behind the scenes recording stuff and also that they are using reel to reel tape is so awesome
seeing them so concentrated and working is so interesting and almost zen-like, cant wait to seem em in manchester in june :D
LOVE THE CANNED HEAT BIT!! WONDERFUL TREAT
Saw these beautiful gentlemen last night in DC at 930 club, 100/10 will see again :3

What I would give to be able to play music like this for a living for the rest of my life
Was cool to see Sea Of Trees live on this video because I've only see it in live version one other video!
19:50 oh god i´m crying
I remember hearing them outside of FYF as soon as I got there. By the time I got inside of the festival, they finished their set. ):
thank you jase.
Desde México un shot de Tequila para ustedes, muy buena banda, con buenos acordes y ritmos.
Greatest two hours of my life😬
Whats the likelyhood that a Australian band would record in the mountains 40 minutes from my house?
this is my favorite video ever
But I'm glad to float down the river with all of you. Rock on
legends on the making right here
I love that you guys met Bradley outside the Bug Jar haha
I need more of this in my life
All fueled by my vinyl purchases! Must have every variant!!!!
Imagine getting that close to them now a days
the jam in the start was so fucking awesome! love king gizzard..
Navdeep Singh Bagga it's a proper song now
Did anyone else get anxiety when he wasn’t blowing the flame out for a moment? He was committed to the jam kudos for that! Lol didn’t miss a beat.
I hope they release another one of these in the future.
bloody awesome, thankyou!
50:08 is pure beatles-like wizard experimentation .. I dig this !
They're above, for god sake
Was that Mac DeMarco crowd surfing at 58:06?
Benjamin Elmer Pacheco Diaz YUP
well that was 2 hours of epic
devouring this like eric's gobbing the bone at 1:35:47
You live for the music. Respect from Ecuador
le groupe le plus intéressant de tous les temps !
Thank you Jason!
Can't wait to watch all 2 hours of this. Fucking love Gizzard!
I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW TY AND CORY
