Excellent information! I work for a public school system and we have seen a lot of benefits switching all of our cyc lights and house lights to LED, as that is where most of the maintenance and lamp replacement occurs within our buildings.
Remember that if you are running way lines into three phase dimmers you can keep using that system, and just switch out your dimmer packs for three phase constant power distros.
You failed to mention the cost and time it would take to convert from traditional lamp fixture connectors to dmx which, no matter the venue, can be a very big project. You should cover this topic
I mean, if you don't have that or the switched power at all, you probably shouldn't be considering it.
Wireless is always an option to get DMX to the fixtures.
@@springws14lbss too many points of failure, maybe in a smaller area use wireless but, use wired dmx where you can in bigger venues
@@Rainbow-wd6sc I don't disagree with you. I always prefer wired but I have had good success with ETCs wireless systems in both middle and high schools. At an upcoming high school renovation, we are going to implement ETCs new Multiverse wireless system, and deploy Series 3 LED fixtures. That will be a true test for us.
@@springws14lbss sounds like a fun adventure, i’ve been trying to get funding for a renovation at the school I work at for the last 3 years, I have the theatre manager position. Which sadly is the only paid position for the theatre at this school
