  • Suleiman Snaps At Mihrimah | Magnificent Century "HE'LL PAY THE PRICE!"
    Magnificent Century Episode 137: • Magnificent Century Ep...
    Bayezid has a close brush with death. Death is everywhere on the Magnificent Century! Bayezid gets betrayed by Rüstem, and he girds himself with his sword and goes to fight. Bayezid fights with all his strength and corners Selim. Just as Selim comes to an end, everything turns upside down because of an arrow Selim gets shot by in the chest. Bayezid gets a fatal blow and he gets terrified when he sees the person who has shot him. Selim gets afraid that Bayezid will get his strength back and advences upon his brother with his army.
    Bayezid goes to Iran with his children. Suleman gets angry when he learns his son has taken refuge of Tahmasb I.
    Sparrowhawk returns to the capital to kill Rüstem and gets help from someone surprising. The deadly fight between them thrillingly comes to an end. Bayezid finds out that his father bargains for his life with Tahmasb I as he expects to be forgiven. Selim makes an insidious plan that the alarm bells start to ring for Bayezid.
    At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
    The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
    As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

    Suleiman thinks Selim loves him the most . But Selim is the one who loves his parents the least. He always pretended to be a good boy in front of his parents. So that rest of his siblings get misunderstood. And in the end he gets the power. What a pity ! Suleiman never realised it.

  • @ghostlyplanx6434

    Bayezid is such a fool, if he had patience he would’ve waited until Suleiman died, and then go against salim. Moreover, bayezid was in kuhtaya and selim was in Konya, bayezid province was much closer to the throne, he could’ve become a Sultan, Sultan bayezid III, but- he wasn’t good enough to be a sultan because of his temper. Selim wasn’t the ideal ruler, but he was patient and calm. And that makes him a better candidate. The best prince for the throne was probably Mehmed, but unfortunately he wasn’t alive long enough to show his true skills.

    • @KingSahi
      @KingSahi Před 2 lety +16

      No, his Sanjak got changed to Amasya. Konya and Amasya were about equal distance from the capital. Plus Suleiman declared to his army and Navy that Selim was the heir prince and with Sokulo Mehmet Pasha as grand vizer, he would never let Bayezid sit on throne even if he got to the capital first. So there were a number of factors which would definitely prevent Baeyzid from getting throne even after Sultan Suleiman died.

    • @ghostlyplanx6434
      @ghostlyplanx6434 Před 2 lety +16

      @@KingSahi perhaps you are right about Sokolu , but let’s not forget, Suleiman’s father selim didn’t have any support in first, that including the support of the grand vizier, and in the end he became a sultan and killed that vizier. There were many similar cases like that so it’s not something bizarre. I still believe that the people would choose bayezid over Selim, but Selim would probably make an alliance that would make his army stronger, like with the Safavid or the Russias maybe

It’s a sign of their versatility as actors and brings a smile to the the face! Halit Bey in both Vatanim Sensin and Babil, where the policewoman’s tendency to drag him off on one handcuff is a running joke, Mustafa in Vatanim Sensin, Ahmed I (Ekin Koc) in Uc Kurus and Murad (Metin Akdulger) in Aci Ask. It shows their talent as actors, but is also a moment of hilarity in the depth of sadness that they otherwise exhibit, like Halit Bey here! All in all, a dangerous bunch those sultans!😉

    1) stupid to say bayezid is against Selim and not suleiman . How can a prince raise an army and attack his brother while the sultan is alive? The fighting starts when sultan has died or is very sick .
    2) despite being warned many times , bayezid refused to obey the sultan . If he was mahidevran son , he would've been killed long time back .
    3) Suleiman is justified in supporting Selim . How can a father ever tolerate his one son harming another during his life . Mihirmah was out of her mind to suggest otherwise.
    4) rustem is blamed way too much . Infact mihirmah never deserved rustem . I am sure even without her , rustem would've been an important figure in ottoman power circles
    5) Suleiman likes rustem definitely .
    6) suleiman never tolerates disrespect and disobedience even if it comes from his beloved mihirmah .

      Tbf, even Mustafa got a LOT of warnings, especially during his time at Manisa. The only Sultan in the fratricide era that would've been more merciful was Bayezid II, who forgave his son Korkut for seeking refuge in Mamluk Egypt and his other son Ahmed for trying to overthrow him. Had Mustafa been the son of Selim, he would've died before becoming too popular, especially if Selim had favoured another son. He probably would've been killed during his time in Manisa

    I am posting this comment as calmly and friendly as possible. Please, everyone receive it as such and forgive me if i am mistaken about a detail here and there.
    I have to agree with Suleiman on that regard. Bayazid was warned time and time again about how important is to control his temper and not make hasty decisions. He was warned about the consequences of his actions and had Mustafa's example (who too provoked his father with his stubborness and defiance) fresh in his mind. And waht he does; HE RAISES IN REBELLION, THINKING THAT IF HE ATTACKS TH PRINCE WHO HAS BEEN CHOSEN BY THE KING AS HEIR TO THE THRONE, THE KING WILL SIMPLY ALLOW THIS ACT OF DEFIANCE GO UNPUNISHED! Bayazid is a true idiot who well deserves his fate at this point.
    I don't understand Mirimah here. She was the one who pushed Mustafa to his doom even though he didn't raise an army in rebellion. And now she goes to her father and has the audacy to DEMAND him to forgive her idiotic brother; A Prince who doesn't respect his King's commands That's absurd.
    Finally, Rustem. Gods, I can't wait to see him bitting the dust.
