  • Overlanding The Central Kalahari Episode 2
This was 14 day trip, in the month of March 2020, 09th to the 22nd, with 12 days in the CKGr itself. Travelling from South Africa, into Botswana, all the way up to the Northern part of the CKGR where we enter the wilderness reserve at Matswere Gate, and travel the full length down to exit at Khutse game reserve.
In this episode we leave Sunday Pan campsite on day 6, and begin the long drive down the entire CKGR, staying at Letihau campsite 1 night, Xade campsite 1 night, Bape campsite 1 night, and Malose camp 1 night, and we end our CKGR adventure at Khutse campsite 2 nights.
Thank you Ed and Chris for shared footage, and to everyone for what was surely an epic trip. Awesome travels and adventures chaps.

Hi there Ryan. Marvelous videos . Which app do you use, to view routes taken or to be taken ? What equipment do you suggest taking , for such a trip ? What type of vehicle would be used, besides the high ground clearance ? Any mods required ?

I am looking to do next year April and May. Going solo so a bit apprehensive of the black cotton soil. My time would be limited by fuel and water but have a cruiser with 240 liters fuel and am guessing that I could go the Xade or Matswere to top up water. Will travel with about 120litres Of water.

Yes yes and yes, very thankful that I have a very supportive community not to mention brand sponsorships. It all helps. Please feel free to sign up to my Patreon page and help me get out there and inspire, or smash that thank button below the episode and make a donation. The work I do is expensive and your help is appreciated. I do these shows exactly for that reason. To take you on the adventure mate and share the wilds of Southern Africa.
Glad you enjoy the show and thank you for sharing your insights

Damn. Any more negative advice, China? From a former Rhodesian. And why aren''t you showing the campsite and evening sessions anymore?
