- This '69 Firebird came in for an inspection of the front suspension felt wobbly and took a lot of back and forth steering correction to keep it straight down the road. The rag joint was almost worn in half, gearbox was sloppy and cracks in the subframe were discovered. Fred installs all new steering components and plans to do more suspension upgrades in the future.

This should be a warning to old Firebird and Camaro owners to inspect the frame. Great Job guys 🙂
Your spring “antics” remind me of doing the exact same thing on a 1966 Thunderbird and a 1968 Buick Skylark. I couldn’t get my spring compressor inside so we went external and lived to tell the tale. I love those old Firebirds and you guys did a great job keeping that one on the road!
Looks like Cragar SS mags. Sweet and clean Firebird......nice car to go out and play.
Yep, old school Cragars for old bird.
Man I love working on those old cars, so simple to work on compared to today’s cars with all those computers, electronics and emissions. Personally I prefer the Camaro body style in 1969 over the Firebird before the Camaro got ugly in 1970.
I hate this car. It takes 3-5 minutes to get it to idle and move in the morning.
Great video
Sweet car!
