I was a high roller for many years and would gamble hundreds of thousands a day with a full time host, comp penthouse suites, hookers and cocaine. I now live underground in a lasvegas storm sewer.
My friend could never really quite explain to me what it means when you call someone a douche bag. He showed me this video and said watch Paul Baker and by the end of this video you know exactly what it means. It's so very clear now...thanks friend.
The guy named Paul Baker- the "Internet Executive" actually died in 2009 at the age of 45 not sure what was the cause of his death but for those that were curious he was one of the early guys in at AOL. / The guy named Denny Mason - "retired businessman" passed away in 2014 at the age of 55! Both died fairly young tbh..
You sure about that? wasn't he just acting like a high roller for the film crew, now the President, Grand Lisboa Palace ? rocketreach.co/paul-baker-email_3503264
2020 - Dennis Rodman net worth is under 500k however he owes about 860k in back child and spousal support, and estimated 350k in back tax payments. So he got half a mill but he owes over a mill. Consider him $-500k in debt. Thanks Hard Rock Casino. Good job 👏👌👌👌👏
I was wondering about where some of there's guys are now and if their still " high rolling " I guess he wished he saved every penny and didn't spend EVERYTHING in Vegas
I love seeing Vegas hotel room interiors of the late '90s and early 2000s. So many of the themed resorts have lost their theming over time; curious to see what the Venetian suite shown looks like today.
I don't know why some people dislike such an amazing documentary like this. It is really shocking that 1/3 of the people push the button of dislike. This is a great documentary and I really appreciate the way how they have managed to shoot it.
11:04 That's the great thing about Vegas. Whale high roller, or skipped your rent to buy your ticket on Spirit Airlines, nobody sleeps in Vegas. There's just something in the air that keeps you happy and going.
I was in Vegas last week, and my dads friend is considered a high roller. It's crazy how many people are at your service when you're considered a high roller. If you have the seven star level you'll literally be treated like royalty. This video is not lying!
Last week he brought about $80,000 to play with in the two days that he was there. He said he puts down about $1,000 a hand each time. I watched him play high limit slots for about ten minutes and he literally just fed hundreds into the machine until his $6000 he had was gone.lol
“People don’t sleep here. They stay awake for three days and snort three mountains of cocai-wait, what? I can’t say that? Well, uh, well people love it here.”
Part of me is jealous that I'm not rich enough to experience this. Another part of me realizes that if I was that rich I wouldn't be wasting it in this fashion. Nice to fantasize about but simply not something I would actually do. I went to Romania once. I was able to live like a king. It was kind of cool the first day. However, I quickly started feeling bad about being waited on like I was better than everyone else. I'm not. I just was blessed to be born in America and have more money in comparison to most in Romania. Btw, Romanians make some kick ass soup. :)
Lmfao nice! But hard truth is, if you have $10,000 USD, you can easily make $500 a day $120k a year, or $1000 a day (10% profit is minimal with my students) aka $240k a year. The key is discipline and stopping when ahead, 99% of players fail in that regard, heck even my own brother can’t stop while ahead and ends up losing thousands every game
Don't lie it was probably from those street walkers all over Vegas probably had your johnson covered in bumps for weeks. Bridesmaids 9 out of 10 times are clean as a whisle
Reminds of a "Twilight Zone" episode when a thief is shot dead and finds himself in a casino winning everything in sight and suddenly realizes it's not heaven (like he always imagined it be), but hell.
Mr.Adelson he 's got big baits for ones who want to have fun! High rollers smile beautifully even few hairs felt out their balls,You COOL! keep coming kids..
Spent 20 years in Vegas and actually partied with Dennis Rodman at the Rio. This video is wayyyyy old. This is more a late 90's early 2000s period; not the current decade.
Things I took from this; 1) Rich athletes are black. 2) 'Players' are more important than anyone else in the world in the casino, everyone else may as well be dead. 3) If you are going to be gambling, you may as well be a 'high roller'. 4) Gambling is good, if you are losing just change the game, or failing that just have few more drinks and sleep it off, totally harmless. 5) As long as there is great food and drinks, everybody in a Casino is having fun. 6) The narrator sounds like he is selling how good this is to me. 7) Everyone interviewed in this whole production is totally fine with gambling, even happy about it, weather working in the casino or not. 8) Nothing at all is said bad about anything at all from start to finish. 9) The amount of shit that has nothing to do with gambling is overwhelming.
That is farily accurate.. in a high roller table the players are like gods.. They can do just about anything they want and wont get kicked out by security unlike regular poor customers.
Yes of course. Gambling's harmless, drinking's harmless, any vice is fun and harmless. The devil's playground. But hey, the video IS about high rollers. I bet most of them are putting those mirrors to work on the bathroom counter too. Most of those guys aren't high rollers any more I guarantee it. This was filmed in the 90's and the dot com boom is long since over. Adelson's henchmen have to keep seeking out the new rich year after year. In the end, the only guy who survived it was the butler. 32:00 "We import WOKs at $15,000 each from Hong Kong." That. my friends, is total, steaming, flat-earth bullshit. A cast iron skillet of the correct size doesn't cost $15,000. Any manager who justifies it saying "It's authentic" would be fired on the spot. There isn't a palate on earth that can differentiate between a so-called Hong Kong Wok, and something made domestically. It boils down to the chef.
They use it as a justification for the high prices and as an obvious indicators of high class. That’s the same reason why tournament chess sets are so expensive when they are fundamentally have nothing that would warrant such price. As long as those items effectively demonstrate luxury buyers would consider it worthwhile.
I can tell the difference of high heat cooked from wok, but it doesn't take a high roller to know the difference and I am not a high roller. The documentary makes it look like high rollers have special god palate.
This was a fun documentary to watch! I’ll never be a high roller, I’m too disciplined of a player, I break even or make a bit of money when I gamble so I’m worthless to the Vegas casinos, but for one weekend it would be fun to live the high roller lifestyle
Hard Rock is back in Las Vegas since now they own the Mirage. They are using the Mirage name supposedly until the Guitar hotel tower is completed at the Mirage.

This Discovery channel documentary feels like it was made in the mid-late ‘90’s. The Hard Rock Casino was the hot place to be…. Rodman’s hair isn’t multi-rainbow colored (wore the rainbow 🌈 dyed hair 1999 and after, the references to “these new young DOT COM whipper snappers”).
Love some of the people telling how you are paying for everything with what you lose. These are people that have nothing and never will. The whale from Australia won $24 million in one session of black jack. It was at the MGM and cost at least one guy his job. He had to pull the trigger on allowing the whale to bet above the table limit and it did not work out well for the Casino.
