When I was a little boy, I was always taught that we're like fallen angels and got kicked out of heaven. We're here in physical body to amend our sin by doing good services to other people and self cultivation. Basically: to love your neighbors as yourself. I was also taught that these Gods in this video are more like Guardian Angels than Gods. The only true God or God of all Angeles (translated as Gods in this video) are the one called Shang Di which is worship in the open with no statue of any kind to represent HIM. We just worship him out in the open sky with just inscent burning as altar. One thing I want to point out is that what most common people believes are different from the actually religion. For example, if you actually read the Buddhism scripture or the saying of Buddha, you will know that Buddha never claimed to be a God and he repeatedly said all of us are capable of become enlightened like him since we all have Buddha nature in us and that we're just drunk and have forgotten that. And that never stop some uneducated common people back in the day to worship him as God.
