    There's a big difference between an 86M forward & a loan forward with 15M option. A no lose situation. Plus, can you imagine Chelsea fans if he does well.

    I wonder if there's been 2 occasions where Dier has made himself unavailable after finding out he wouldn't be in the team. The 'yes' response was a bit uncharacteristically brutal from Ange about a player in his team.

    Maybe, just maybe, Ange put on his poker face again, and both Van De Ven and Romero are both fit for Manu. It would explain Ashleys loan. Hes surprised us with timely returns before. Food for thought

    Hi Lads, My concern is that when Werner was at chelsea i always noticed he played with his head down. He can't dribble with his head . He's a single minded fast striker. He plays best in a front 2 from what I can gather. I actually think he'll be a striker for us.

      Can we acknowledge how much Ange develops players. Look at the much improved Royal or Davies this season. Any player we get through the door, will no doubt raise their game. Let's see what magic transpires.

    Re Jota, you might like to check out his goals at Celtic here: czcams.com/video/rBSRQ-0qyQk/video.html. There are some great strikes (as well as tap ins that betray the level), but the goal that convinced me he was top level was the one against Rangers at 4:02. Brilliant first touch, then sublime angled chip while sprinting at full pace - super!

    There seems to be a lot of bigging up of Werner going on here and a lot of optimism and positivity surrounding this signing. But I wouldn't get too carried away, his numbers and contributions this year are poor. This is a classic levy signing. He's clearly gone to Ange through our transfer team and told him if we can get it done, will you agree? Of course, he's going to say yes. Anyone that thinks Levy is not all over any Spurs transfer are kidding themselves. Im okay with the loan, but I will not be happy with a long term contract in the summer as a Kane replacement, cause its just feeling like another cheap option levy's trying to get away with. I want a CB this month and I feel the Ashley loan is by no means an indication one is on the way. These next two windows are massive for levy, and this fanbase staying positive.

    Is it me or is Ange already starting to suspect the club don’t have the same ambition for success as him if it means spending money in the transfer market.The high number of player injuries and the loss to international duty has made the urgency for signing cover essential. When this doesn’t happen it will dawn on him sooner than expected the reality of managing Spurs. Once that happens it’s only a matter of time until the right offer comes along and it’s over. The record breaking start to the season has only made the inevitability of this sooner. I still have hope that I will be wrong but where talking about Levy and 20 years of the same story isn’t going to change narrative all of a sudden. Still miracles do happen….

    Now Dragusin is going to Bayern , this is a total disgrace by the club/ Levy, 30 million Euros is cheap but Spurs low balled . It has always been Tosin or Kelly. Pathetic by a so called big club, acting like York City.

  • @todareistodomyfoot8403

    Why are we bringing in players who lack composure in front of goal? Johnson, Werner are not good enough. Kulu is not good enough, how long more does Kulu have before we decide that his end product is not good enough to help us win a league. Johnson another Bergvign who's terrible in front of goal. Werner is like a rabbit released from a bag, he doesn't know where he's going and runs into dead ends just like Lucas did. Jota and Akturkoglu are much better technical players who know when to slow down at the right moments to make the right choices in regards to shooting or passing. Our recruitment is very average if you ask me, it's like Levy is deliberately bringing in average players so we can't compete to win the league. It's like Levy want to do just enough to get top four. The recruitment looks like it's just there for show not being allowed to do it's job properly.

      My mans really said Jota is *much better* in front of goal when that's precisely why he isn't good enough 😂😂
      Jota will be lucky to finish his career with 100 club goals. Werner is already over that mark at 27.

    • @todareistodomyfoot8403
      @todareistodomyfoot8403 Před 5 měsíci

      @@AcidAdventurer Go look at Jota's goals in the Scottish league and cup plus champions league. His skill is sublime and very intelligent in front of goal. Bakayoko is only valued at 30 million a goal and assist machine for PSV. Akturkoglu has been great all season in the Turkish Super League and Champions League.
      Just three players that are cheap and performing to a high level. We could have went in for Olesie or Eze and Watkins but your talking 60 to 70 million. All these players would strongly push Kulu and Johnson to either mature quickly or to take their place in the first 11. Its' called competition for places. It all depends on your standard for your club though, that's another thing.

      I do think there's a bit of rose-tinted spectacles in terms of players' ages. I see players getting described as 'young' until even 25 when in reality by that age their career is 1/3 to 1/2 way through. Bale was younger when he had his evolution and even a late surger like Kane was doing the business at 21. If a player is 22 or 23 they don't really rocket ahead from there in my experience, and fans should be expecting a decent level of contribution from them. Instead most of our young talent seems to fizzle out fast either on loan or staying put. Even promising talents going to a lower league but still struggling to make an impact. You expect a fair bit of that talent attrition rate - that last step up in quality is the hardest - but we do seem to struggle more than some other teams with that final pathway into the team for the past few years, certainly post-Poch. Johnson has been ok and is adapting to a new manager and team beset by disruption but him, Richi, and a few others in those positions do seem to lack that final bit of precision or killer instinct or guile to be notching up goals in sufficient numbers and the Werner we saw at Chelsea is cut from the same cloth. Would it not be better to get someone with a different skillset - less pacy perhaps but more clinical in the box?
