Easier way- cut the end off straight, but close to the end of the fender. then place it on top of the remaining fender at the spot where you want the curved edge to be. Then draw the shape on top of the tape where you want it. That way you are using the actual end of the fender as a template. It’s more reliable than a flexible piece of paper.

Make sure you’ll never put hands again on any type of grinder

I have same problem ,putting back wheel on .I put a long punch or big philips screwdriver into wheel on right. It holds up wheel ,while I work axle in from left into brake carrier and wheel. Before ,I figured this out ,maybe 3 tries or more ,cussing and swearing. I am 66 and worked on bikes and never had trouble like this bike . Takes a few minutes now ,hardly any effort. Mark

Bike looks good. The bars ain't my cuppa but that's only me I prefer drag bars on them. Well done on the cut, I remember doing my first chop on my Honda c90 field bike, and being only 11 years old made a mess of the tyre too 🤣🤣
40 years later and I'm still working on bikes 👍👍👍

I'd have replaced the fender completely instead of messing up that original part.

There is one thing I can’t understand with both the Triumph and Indian Bobber. Why don’t they make a folding passenger seat, similar to what Harley did to the Rocker.

Number 1 thing you need to have if don't have the correct tools or complete tools for measuring or angling is a good eye. I also made a fender out of an old gas tank reserve and totally messed up, so i cheated with bondo and a dark paint.

Hi there have you got a friend that can help you I don't think that you should have cut the inner fender where you had the gap you should have had it welded with plate steel or put a LED light there not cut it and use bondo we call it filler in the UK but not a bad job for the first time you will get better as you go on with the Bobber and god luck I will be watching.

What seat is that you are riding on? It looks like the Triumph Quilted Seat and It looks a lot more comfortable than the statement seat on my Bobber. Do you feel like it improves the ride?

what was the point of the tape?

Mainly so I could draw my lines on it and have it be more visible. Also hoping to protect the rest of the paint from cutting debris.
