My balls are not big enough to ride these super torquey boards 😂 but they are awesome feats of engineerin, so well crafted.
Awesome comparison. Kaly suits me most but I expected to BioBoards to come top in performance, the Don of the Daddy's... until I hears 16S, with the other two bein 18S.
I can see why dude is called Carvela, awesome carvin style. 🤙🏼
That Bioboards kingpin is comicalky long though 😂 what possessed them to make it that long lol. I geek out over trucks so that stood out.
That Kaly though one nut gives you all the fun you need 😂
This real world rider experience of usin and maintain these boards is crucial info, not always covered by some others, kudos to ya, stuff like this matters as much as ride feel! 👏🏼👏🏼
I thought that BioBoards charger was a video cassette from the 90s 😂 I like it.
Loved the summary at the end bruv! You kept it 100! 👏🏼👏🏼
Thoroughly enjoyed this 🤙🏼
Thanks benny as always
Interesting how two of these companies are now out of business (Kaly & today, LaCroix). It's a tough market out there. The best board does not always win.
Definitely difficult to build these boards
Nice well detailed unbiased video. Really felt like you gave the best honest review. Agreed with all your points. 💯👏👏👏
Wow what a difference two weeks can make in the Esk8 world. Amazing reviews 🔥
Thanks yer been mad right
Awesome video my friend ,comprehensive and really well-thought out ,,,,,,very professional !
Thanks so much for the feedback
Great Review. Good job . Thank you.
Thanks everyone seems to enjoy the video thanks
Great review, overall pretty complete, but I’m surprised that trucks/suspension/carving wasn’t a category, plus none of that was talked about much. Would love to know what you think about the riding itself. Perhaps a follow up video for a long term test - get all of them to a couple hundred miles and report back. Bioboard was already my dream board and this solidified it. Great test, and enjoy those things!
Thanks for the feedback
I have all 3 boards at least I did Kaly board burnt to the ground within the first year have it on video the bio and lacroix board only have for a few months boy I miss my XLR great videos
So hyped for this!
Thanks this is the most complex video on the channel hope your enjoy
2 minutes into the video I have to go with the Lacroix.
edit... great video by the way. Some incredible boards for sure. I might pick up the Supersport this winter once the adsense kicks into high gear during Christmas 😁
Thanks for the feedback and like
I said in the video everyone perspective is different for sure and all the boards are monsters
Lacroix went out of business
Yeah, looks like I need to go with a plan B. @@alejandroWar23
Can't wait to see this interesting comparison. Maybe you can add a further video with a compare to the LORENTZ MAJOR and the Acedeck NYX.
I'm just looking for a new board.... and it's hard to decide between Lacroix, Lorentz and Acedeck.
I have spoken with Lorentz so hopefully in the future
I got my Lonestar up to 48.6 in Florida trying to pass a car at the beach on gulf Blvd.
Always wanted a kaly. Shame about Ernesto 😕
Great heraring all the ups and downsides.
I thought it was the best way to do it in a fair way
Love the vid bro. I could get a Lacroix but I’m happy having two of the three. The Plutonium is impressive across the board for its weight and size, a lot of power. For range rides, I’d probably take the Kaly. You should pick up the new charger from Bioboards. It almost fits right in my pocket. That’s coming for sure on all future rides.
Lacroix went out of business
For me, I'd say the lacroix will win as the overall champ
Was you still the same option at the end of the video ??
@@Esk8Nomad well i don't own any of them so I went with the one I kept hearing good things about but I still lost haha Bioboard seems like an awesome product but i value range too much so lacroix still is my favorite ^^
Great vid, we need a acedeck vs propel showdown seems like they both are the cool kids on the block as of late
Let’s do it pal I will try and contact them and see what could happen
10:35 Totally agree on that point! 👍
Absolutely bad construction. That's the main reason why i switched to E-toxx adapters and E-toxx V3 hubs on my Naz SS.
13:27 Yep definitely! I have to agree with you here too. They're nice and look cool, but they're hell when it comes to maintenance.
18:06 In this regard, I had the same experiences as you when we installed the Davega on my Lacroix. Screwing the enclosure back onto the deck is the pain in the ass 🙈.
In general, the Lacroix has a very complex maintenance process. For example, I have to tighten ALL the deck screws after every ride because they always come loose easily. This seems to be a general problem at Lacroix.
Despite the criticisms, I still love my Falcon Nazare SS! I love the power, torque and speed of this beautiful machine.
Nice video btw. A very fair comparison. The Bioboard completely deserved to win. Stay safe! 🤙
Thanks for watching
Im a kaly fan but i think you were fair in your assessment
Thanks that’s all i wanted to do be fair and unbais
Nice man 🤙🏽
Bioboard Plutonium AT 4x4 1.5 has certainly been one of my goto reliable workhorse boards. WIth POM gears it is a near silent weapon of choice. It absolutely hauls ass . Fastest of all my builds. After i designed and machined my own ultra wide hubs and fitted some trampa Golfa tyres it became super wide and super sticky , increased stability made a huge difference at higher speed carving.
It’s a animal
Would love to see these homemade hubs of yours! I've a Lacroix and tryna find the right hubs/tires for the best high speed stability! Did you 3d print them? Specs?
Great review!!
Would have loved to have seen them tested on the road, acceleration/hill climb side by side comparison
Thanks for the feedback I will make sure I do that in the future pal thanks
@@Esk8Nomad not a criticism at all, just a suggestion :) love your vids mate 🙏
@@projectmayhem2330 all good pal feedback is welcome
@@Esk8Nomadwhat’s the verdict now? I’m contemplating getting the S2
@@projectmayhem2330 what do you mean bud ?
🔥🔥
You need the Hoyt St.Dadbod in there😉
I agree but getting one for review is very difficult
I guess Lacroix is also gone, my order is still pending, i hope Alex is a good guy and finalize my Barrel.
Yer man sorry hear that that’s not the best situation to be in
Good job on this video. Thank you
Thanks for watching
I am considering buying the plutonium 2. I like a speed reading on the remote so leaning towards the vx4. What remote do you prefer?
@@Adrenaline_Dice I prefer the Hoyt personally but the devaga on the board tells you the speed as you ride so hope that helps
@@Adrenaline_Dice here is a discount code Code : $70 discount THOMASKILMINSTE
I appreciate that alot
Kaly XLR ALL DAY for me when the wiring is updated to stop vampire drain, etc.
Exactly I feel the kaly is a concord of eek8 to advanced for it’s time and was made to early
When Ernesto released the xlr i was so impressed. It was so innovative compared to anything else . I think the xlr is the best board even though things didn't go as planned
I would say it’s the concord of esk8 in that fact
Great video. But was hoping to see how each board did on acceleration? Take care man
Thanks for the feedback I will make sure I do it next time 👍🏻
I was going to comment i had no idea who would win.
I would have been correct.
Awesome video.
Did i miss it, or were 2nd and 3rd not mentioned?
Might have to watch again and tally all the points.
Keep up the great work.
It really is appreciated.
Yer I didn’t mention it wine bioboard then kaly then lacroix
@@Esk8Nomad thought that's how it would have been from a quick guesstimate on the points.
Appreciate the reply and info.
Which trucks are best for high speed stability? I know the bio seems to be #1 for speed w/ overall components but who do you think has the best trucks for speed? Do y'all think channel trucks are best? bio seems to use an rkp truck here? Thinking on adding an angled riser to my Lacroix/hypertrucks....
Best trucks are the stooge race trucks
As a Plutonium 2S driver, I realy liked this unbiased review! You convinced me to get the beast in the first place ;) Keep the contend coming!
Thanks bud I’m glad I can help
I think the kaly won specs because of the thiq wheelz'z but lost on support reliability, iv had a board with challenges to getting replacement parts, this is why lacroix won by technicality
Yer definitely should of mentioned board maintenance
You should have added a truck comparison as it effects the overall performance of any board of🤙
Thanks for the feedback will add in future videos I just didn’t want a super long video
I did mention them a little
Are you biased to bioboard in any financial way? Great video. Whats top 3 gear drives amongst these three and on the market period? 3d services seem to be a top choice and certainly reflected in the price but bio boards herringbone gd @. $500 seems to be a wonderful bang for buck. Thanks!
No financial interest at this point the new biobaord gear drive is very good as it’s now a push fot which makes things a lot easier
Super 🔥 👍 👌 big boy ❤
Thanks bud a lot of work went into this one
Ohh that’s a tuffy. I’m commenting before I see it all. Iv never riden a bio board. Tha lacroix has some amazing comfort. The KALY is a great animal but bulky. Lacroix is so smoove.😀. I’ll go with lacroix for comfort. But bio for overall. Not as niche I guess. IDK. 🤷♂️. I want all of em. 😂
Just watched a little more. Always wanna change my mind. 😂😂nope. I’m sticking with it. 25 mile range or not 😎😎
@@biddle444 you agree with the biobaord ?
Yup. Just finished the video and found out too. 😂. I guess I just kinda figured the others are so specific and the bio board appears to b more broad range I guess. Just by looking at it.
As I sit here and change out back to my bkb wheels on my Acedeck that needs a new motor I’m pretty sure
@@biddle444 fair play
Great video, sad to see that two of the companies featured in this video have both gone under. Two top dogs in the industry are gone along with their innovation.
Edit: I didn't realize that lacroix europe was still up and running despite their north american counterpart.
Yer that’s a real shame for sure
@ThomasBBoyStretch By the way what was the average speed you had each of the boards capped at when testing the range at?
@@punkrockpro5062 around 35 mph
I would say LaCroix off jump I could be wrong
Plutonium for the win
Love to see bio vs mboard 4wd
@@Esk8Nomad oh dude the 4wd endurance isnt even in the same ball park as the plutonium. We could make a bigger badder one to compete but it would just be a oneoff not a prebuilt board like our endurance.
Well guess what both lacroix and kaly are GONE! So sad😢
Yer it’s very sad
Guessing bioboard
What about the Onsra-Velar didin't you just spend a great deal of time reviewing that one, how did it compare to these?
The onsra velar is in a league of it own it’s a big battery yes but not as big and the ones in this review and the voltage is not as high
@@Esk8Nomad So which would you pick if you had to choose between all the boards including the Velar?
@@gfranks007 biobaord at this point as a CZcamsr gives me all
The tools I need for filming and racing
Had the XLR loved it but just couldn’t deal with the risks that others have experienced so got rid of it. Ordered a Lacroix lonestar supersport over 3
Months ago and still waiting. I’m in a few groups and I keep hearing horror stories about this company and miserable customer service. I’m slightly regretting my purchase especially since I was told I’d have it like 50 days ago and still nothing. 😵💫🤨🤔
yeah they suck with warranty! no refunds either once order placed.
Lacroix is out of business
Bio board
KalyNYC is gone. Lacroix is screwed too. Bioboards is next.
Na bioboard is good don’t worry about them
I don't think so. Every boutique company will be out of business. Sooner or later. @@Esk8Nomad
I think there will always be a market @@temporarymomentary
Yes, for Chinese companies. @@Esk8Nomad
I think bioboard won….
As someone who has owned the Kaly XLR and the Lacroix SS, the Lacroix is COMPLETE GARBAGE. Everything on the Lacroix has failed, broken or stopped working. I've gone through three Stormcores, two sets of Falcon drives, three motors, front lights, screws fall out or rip out of the battery enclosure, the battery enclosure itself has snapped on almost every screw hole and lastly... can't properly balance the wheels no matter what I've tried. The owner is a massive egomaniac and refuses to take any responsibility for the garbage he releases. I'm truly shocked he hasn't been sued into oblivion. Stay AWAY from Lacroix. Their boards put me in the hospital.
I’m so sorry to hear your negative experience and appreciate you sharing
Interesting.. how many miles does the Lacroix board have? I bought a used 2020 OG Nazare about 3 months ago. Since then I’ve probably put roughly 4-5 hundred miles with 0 problems. I do ride on the street only so minimal vibration. I love the board.
@@erike7297 I had the board for 6 months of hard riding
@@Esk8Nomad My comment is to save lives. No desire to put the spotlight on myself. I'm not the first, nor will I be the last to have massive problems with a Lacroix
Maybe I got lucky but I have 2500 miles on my LS SS and haven’t had any issues. The design how the wheels mount to the gear drive isn’t the best. Putting air in the tires is an absolute pain in the ass but other than that I can’t complain. The board has been an absolute joy in my life.
lacroix has fallen jst like kaly. trampaboards my favorite and still riding for the last 4 years. 😃
Yer loved my trampa
That board that you claim is number one? Your toes and your heel is hanging off the board when you’re riding it. The board is too narrow. I’m sick of narrow boards. The Lacroix is a dream board because you’re standing “in “ the board and there is still some board left, that’s how a board should be made .you go Thousands of miles for thousands of dollars going 50 mph with parts of your feet hanging off the board exposed to the street on other boards I mean come on. The width of the board alone should’ve made the LeCroix the top dog . I don’t know why designers have made so many boards so skinny they all should be at least 19 inches wide so some of you blokes can fit your busted biscuits on it properly and safely. It’s hard enough balancing at high speeds on the board but then you’re doing it on a motorized beam of wood ? It should be a platform not a beam.
I still have my 2021 Nazaré Supersport with the gen 1 falcon drives. Modified with a Davega X, E-toxx adapters, E-toxx anti sink plates and E-toxx V3 offset hubs. I was thinking about selling it this season because I'm now more into performance scooters and EUC's and the board hasn't been used that much this season.
However, when I recently took another ride with the Nazaré Supersport, I was immediately annoyed by myself that I was even thinking about selling it 🤣. This board is a dream and it's still a blast to ride! There's just way too much money, time and work put into this board for me to ever sell it.
🛹💨 🤙🏻
Yer that’s tricky
Got the same board, less your modifications. I didn't get a many rides in at the beginning of the summer. And it sits in the winter. But last 2 months on it have been awesome. Forgot how good it is. The deck especially. Gonna put Landsurf wheels on it and run it for another season.
