hah there are so many new travel bloggers out there but they haven't learnt a single thing from the likes of Rick. its not just about the flashy stuff and how amazing your camera gear is or how amazing you make a picture look on Instagram. its about the eloquent way rick captures his audience with his amazing use of vocabulary in describing small little stories that are often miss , by the new generation of wanna be travel bloggers. for example , in this video , rick took a very simple concept of a taxi ride and turned it into an adventure leaving no small details out. and it is this little things that make a trip memorable that are often overlooked its not always about the pizza you had or the beach you went to. its always about the little things. and rick does an amazing job telling us bout it. and the most important thing is , rick always looks the same , never looking too flashy and always neat, he gives you the notion that if he can do it you can too.
Exactly…
But these hoes care nothing about that.
They just in this for the views…clout…and attention….
Beautifully said Saeid!
Relax bro , stop hating other bloggers
He’s old school that’s all. The original OG. The younger travel bloggers obviously appeal to a younger demographic. It’s all good, something for everyone.
Yes indeed!
Who else is watching this and has a trip booked to Italy? 🤩🤟🏼
저요! 한국에서 보고 있습니다 ㅎㅎ
I wish ... (but it will happen -- certainly before I am in a wheelchair.
My man Rick Steves is legendary.

There are so many travel video bloggers out there now but no one beats Rick Steve until now. His knowledge and the way he tells the history is so captivating and addictive 😊
Love how people socialise in Italy. Everything is an excuse to meet and enjoy each other and life 🥰. What a beautiful country ❤️
Thank you!! ❤🇮🇹
i know Im asking randomly but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account?
I stupidly forgot the login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
We even encountered people doing this in the middle of the street, stopping their cars and chatting out of their driver windows, holding up all the other traffic for a few minutes 🥰 Hahahaha!!
In these difficult times for traveling, Rick takes me to the best tourist destinations with fun, while I climb hills on my treadmill. I love it!,

Just returned, I would go back in a second! We had 2 weeks there and I sure wish we had 2 more. Ill return one day for certain. Amalfi coast was my favourite part of Italy. The lemons are the size of grapefruits. We had fresh squeezed lemonade, enjoyed limoncello gelato while looking out at the coastline and I wanted to freeze time that very second and stay there forever.

Nancy White True ... but I ❤️ Capri as well ... Southern Italy is great 👍. We visited Rome, headed to Amalfi Coast , checked out Capri/Blue Grotto and lastly visited Sorrento and visited the lost city Pompeii. Stayed for 10 days -would not mind going again maybe just relaxing on the Amalfi Coast . Northern Italy is also nice -Tuscany and Florence but for them the south has a certain charm ...
Nancy White One of the the nicest or most beautiful places in the world....Amalfi Coast as U said and I would add Capri
I'm planning for south italy. How many days each would you recommended for staying in Positano, Amalfi, Capri. Or which place would you recommend staying for less transfers?
Two weeks is too long for anywhere even combined vacations I can’t drink like that nonstop for 2 to 4 weeks you start to feel like a loser I’d rather take 4 one week vacations spread out across the year. And yes, sorry, when you’re on vacation you drink a lot. And very hard to find a good Gym in Italy. I actually could not find one.
At home looking after my mum and sick of tv.. discovered this wonderful youtube channel and Rick Steve. Love it!!!
Haha this is a tv show. Turn on PBS!
Rick is my solution for arm chair touring. much better than any guided tour.
Italy is truly the greatest country to ever grace the Earth
You might be right. The culture, the history, the art - simply amazing.
And you can never figure out how bad things must have been to push all those folks to head for Ellis Island!?
@@bradthompsonuk2011 Mostly wars, the first and the second.
That and widespread crop failures, diseases that wiped out the vineyards destroying the wine industry. Vineyards in the US that had only decades earlier developed from Euro grapes, ended up returning plants back to Italy to save the fields. (And yeah, you're right. There was the crazy dude Benito.) Seems that everyone I met over the years from one end of the boot to the other, has a long-lost cousin in the US.
btw.. sending this from Little Italy, Manhattan.
Assolutamente 🇮🇹
Amalfi coastline is probably most scenic route in Italy. I loved Sorrento, we stopped at Positano and Amalfi starting from Salerno. This is a must-do and admire this scenic route
We did the same and were travelling through there at about the same time Rick filmed this video, mid-April 2013
@@petesig93 Awesome. Did you literally see Rick doing the filming?
Rick Steve's is wonderful!

Was so fortunate to take a “ once in a lifetime” trip to The Almafie Coast, Capri, Florence, Rome, Venice, & finally Paris as a gift for my Mom’s 65th birthday! Memories for a lifetime! The Blue Gratto was an amazing treat! Great video!
Were headed for Italy in 2 weeks. How did you book that Blue Gratto trip? Was it expensive?
You can tell the world was in a better place when this first aired.

Jacky Kennedy loved the Isle of Capri. She stayed and owns a hotel there
Rick Steve is very knowledgeable and he narrates history so well.
What a beautiful coastline..!
Thanks for keeping us sane in this time of Covid, Rick!
Rick Steves covers locations in detail and is always smiling. A very soft spoken person.
He is beyond amazing! I was overwhelmed by positano, but he did everything so beautiful. The way he describes everything. It looks like a piece of cake
I just bought a round trip ticket from Chicago to Rome for $330 for August on a whim because it was cheap and I have never been. So excited!
how was it? :)
Rick is a cool guy, I love his timelessness and his open mind.
He's usually high, a big pot head actually. Don't let the nerdy looks fool ya.

The Amalfi Coast is always spectacular.....
Italy is one of my favorite countries to visit
🌹🌺🥀
Capri is our next holiday destination. Thank you for making me visit the place in advance. It gives me lots of information where I should be visiting
It's super expensive
I’m so impressed with what you do for travelers. Long live Rick. Keep on traveling
Hope to go again. Now we have Rick to take us there
We did a guided bus tour of Napoli last year, and I haven’t seen a more impossibly majestic view than the Amalfi coast. I dream of going back and spending at least a week there. Hopefully, this pandemic ends soon so people can travel again.
Hello sir, I am a local taxi driver in Napoli area, ask me about your travel. Lowest price for this summer 2021 🇮🇹🇪🇺🚖
Most beautiful places on earth, no other else can even come close to ....
Traveled to Italy, since then I am in love with Italy.
I would strongly recommend an alternative: stay in Salerno and take boat trips to the various stops on the Amalfi coast. I find it a much more convenient base. Salerno is also bigger, cheaper, and better connected than Sorrento.
I keep going back to Napoli as my base, 3 times. Food, shopping etc are very affordable
yup, i can vouch for this. MUCH cheaper in Salerno and to take a boat to all the stops. My only regret is we didnt do the last stop, Capri :(
I will hopefully get to go for the first time here this summer. I wanted a home base that is beachy. You definitely know what your talking about! Your suggestion looks incredible!
agree 100% and not only the amalfi coast, from Salerno you could do a day trip south to visit the majestic Paestum temples , it's only 40 mins away from Salerno.
The first time I visited Italy, which was in 1997, our tour group visited Sorrento and the beautiful Isle of Capri. It was an unforgettable experience.
Rick Steeves the best❤
Rick's colour co-ordination of outfits were on point for Amalfi.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip there in 2017. This brings back lovely memories of the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Positano, Ravello, Capri etc. Unfortunately , we could not go into the blue Grotto due to the high tide. Hope to visit again. 😊
Wow Sorento really beautiful it's a must see
The day we did the chair lift, it went into the clouds, up to the summit, what a thrill and experience, love this island
Beautiful Amalfi and Capri
Steves skipped Ravello in this tour - do NOT skip it if you go. Most beautiful spot in Amalfi region.
Always something Hellenic behind

Cant believe he never went on little white Noddy train in Sorrento, it was the best part of the whole trip. The whole train was singing along to the Italian opera music. Also if you go visit the foreigners club the pironi is 5 euros a bottle, but the view from the balcony is priceless. I have been to half a dozen European countries but southern Italy is the most beautiful by far. And NOBODY does food like the Italians. If you get the chance to go go you will never forget the place.
besides the cracked raw egg on my calzone...I was like what the fu'
how to get the ticket of noddy train?
You can fortunately get Peroni at a number of places in NYCs Little Italy.
Been to Sorrento twice last year - before the lockdown - I have a friend living there and she took me to eat at the simple but outstanding family restaurant in Marina Grande, called O'Puledrone, run by fishermen that serve what they catch fresh every day. You can get filled with fish and seafood without drying your bank account there....and that is the real taste.
Rick is fantastic - -every time fancy hotels, restaurants, taxis! One gets to feel the flavour of genuine local life...
It is mostly for americans. Yeah it is nice to watch but if I go there I would do on my way with couchsurfing asking locals to recommend places
Tremendously beautiful...
bibolcs sing alongs
So interesting! I love Italy…Amalfi is new information…especially about St. Andrew!Thank you Rick Steves!❤️😁👏
I've been here in June. Beautiful!!
When Life gives you Sorrento
Amalfi coast, where my parents spent part of their honeymoon in 1969, the rest was traveling through western Europe and Greece with a brand new Volkswagen my father purchased in Germany while on his business trip just before they got married (in southern italy)

Hello Lizzy
That would be so cool to run into Rick Steves on one of my travels. I'd tell him, because of you I am here!👍😆✌
Hello sunNy
Just love you you make people see this beautiful planet in all its glory. You should do some trips to Canada you would be amazed as for example Old Quebec is like a travel in time to Europe and the culinary world here is amazing too.
Sorrento is one of my favourite places in Italy. It felt really safe to wander about in the evening. It was very easy to get around and the sights were breathtaking around the clifftops and by the harbour. Food was fabulous and everyone seemed to be really happy. My favourite part was going on the little train that goes around town and down to the harbour. It was brightly lit with coloured lights and music played through speakers. It was just delightful. Would go again in the blink of an eye.
Well you should. The only places you really need to watch out are war zones and any state in the US.
Anywhere else, your safe and sound... other than traffic maybe.
Hello Susan
In 2020, making it through the TP crisis and virus. I take myself there in my mind, thank you Rick!
Oh it so takes me back ! Excellent , relaxed and informative . All you are missing are subtitles for the deaf then oh will have everything. Well done and thank you for a trip down memory lane . Wales UK .
