Doom Slayer was who I wanted most as a massive shooter fan. Honestly I respect choosing Sora over the Slayer and I’m just happy that he’s in the game in some form.

I actually almost started crying at these reactions. Knowing that I’m not the only one who’s been waiting for so many years for Sora to come into Smash honestly fills my heart with joy because it shows just how much Kingdom Hearts has been apart of so many lives ♥️
Dawko, Roger, HMK, Hungrybox and Omni were my favorite reactions for Sora. All of us laugh, scream and cried when we saw Sora. I'm so happy he is in the game and meets Cloud and Sephiroth again.
Honestly? I wasn't expecting Sakurai to get the green-light for Sora. I was expecting that, if Kingdom Hearts WAS going to be added to the expanding worlds roster, it would be someone who's had minimal ties to so, so many Disney titles, mainly someone like Lingering Will (Terra), Aqua or even Master Xehanort. Someone who would cause a minimal uproar in the copyright negotiations. But this? This is just goes to show the natural 20s Sakurai had to roll to get this to actually happen at all. First of all, that’s a petty mindset to focus on- neither you or I get to decide who is or isn’t deserving in anything Smash Bros. We don’t make that decision. Secondly, when Sans was made into a Mii Fighter, non-Undertale fans were making fake comments about ‘oh no, Sans fans are gonna be so pissed,’ the actual fan base didn’t go throwing riots over this. Insulting the character that gets added means that you’re also insulting the time and effort Sakurai went through to make that character playable in his game. Smash Bros is a celebration for gamers from all across the spectrum to come together. And with almost 90 fighters on the roster, there’s something for everyone. Don’t like the options anyways? Then you clearly need to back off and reconsider why you’re even debating this in the first place.
I couldn't see them ever adding anything of Disney's into Smash, because well, 1) it's not video games and 2) because of how uncooperative Disney is, especially these days. Honestly? I wasn't expecting Sakurai to get the green-light for Sora. I was expecting that, if Kingdom Hearts WAS going to be added to the expanding worlds roster, it would be someone who's had minimal ties to so, so many Disney titles, mainly someone like Lingering Will (Terra), Aqua or even Master Xehanort. Someone who would cause a minimal uproar in the copyright negotiations.
But this? This is just goes to show the natural 20s Sakurai had to roll to get this to actually happen at all.
Sakurai is a fucking legend, making this possible. And considering that this will be the last time someone gets added to this game, I'm not even mad.
Now I just have to remind certain CZcamsrs that bitched about 'anime swordsmen in Smash' that Sora (whom they will be preaching) fits that category. Eat shit, you fucking hypocrites.

First of all, that’s a petty mindset to focus on- neither you or I get to decide who is or isn’t deserving in anything Smash Bros. We don’t make that decision. Secondly, when Sans was made into a Mii Fighter, non-Undertale fans were making fake comments about ‘oh no, Sans fans are gonna be so pissed,’ the actual fan base didn’t go throwing riots over this.
Insulting the character that gets added means that you’re also insulting the time and effort Sakurai went through to make that character playable in his game.
Smash Bros is a celebration for gamers from all across the spectrum to come together. And with almost 90 fighters on the roster, there’s something for everyone. Don’t like the options anyways? Then you clearly need to back off and reconsider why you’re even debating this in the first place.
I couldn't see them ever adding anything of Disney's into Smash, because well, 1) it's not video games and 2) because of how uncooperative Disney is, especially these days.
Even though Kingdom Hearts and Sora is mostly Square Enix's baby, I bet it was hell just getting Disney on board because of the Sora's keyblade's Mickey Mouse keychain.
It sure was not easy but alot of fanboys were asking for Master Chief on Smash 🤭 sure Sora was easier

This direct actually made me shed some tears. I've played since melee and have met some of my closest friends cause of it. The series has spanned actual generations of people and holds a lot of value to so many people. To think that this legend has come to an end. Thank you sakurai

This is one of the most emotional reveals. Most voted character, everyone knew he just "fits in" after SS.Flash, but the biggest wall in all of those plans were Disney. The fanbase forcefully pushed him out of their minds due to that realization. *And then this happen......*
