Congratulations on your win in the Olympic Marathon Trials Meb, keep up the good work
lo que mas me gusta de este gran atleta es su HUMILDAD.
Meb, eres un ejemplo sigue así!!!
I have a tremendous respect for african long-distance runners, and sure they are my inspiration in every training and competition day, THANKS ALOT FOR THIS VIDEOS!!!
This guy is keeping me inspired
poetry in motion.....i have the greatest respect for distance rummer
I knew Meb and Hall would make the team!!! Congrats Abdibrahman on joining them
Beautiful absolutely Beautiful
Good luck at the trials! I'm glad the High Sierra weather has cooperated with your training.
beautiful stride
its amazing what hardwork will do for you.
MEB2012 #teamusa
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i had that joke in my head I scrolled down to type it in and you beat me by a month GOD DAMN!!!!!!!
bravo Meb
Wow I love running, those elite level distance runners are just the definition of strength and grace. Too bad I dont really have talent myself :(
good luck Meb , from Argentina
inspiring- good luck for the trials
Buena suerte Meb, desde Bolivia
Ryan, Meb and Josh!
because they are the best. Big ups ethiopia n kenya. Jamaica we love you too. And I love wellington she should have my iron baby
Looks so tense but also so relaxed. My back and arms tighten up something fierce if I run anything under 5:20s with my back that upright.
@TheRCat meb is actually a midfoot striker but because his cadence is freakishly fast, it appears as if he was heel-striking. His stride frequency is excellent.
Ah, Bishop/Mammoth Lakes area...absolutely stunning
@Brent6434 - When I meant diet, I was referring to American vs East African Diets. My point was that these East African born Americans run well on what looks to be somewhat traditional American Diets so it may not be the massive amounts of ugali and corn porridge that makes East Africans fast.
I can watch him run all day long.
Very nice++++Training_Video
Thank you
@linglingjr If you can run a 5K like that (14:30-15:30) your a damn good runner in your own right.
Really puts into perspective how insane the top elites are.
yes they are.
300 Violin Orchestra - Jorge Quintero
You will rock it Meb. The tree will be Ryan hall, meb, and josh cox.
Ritz, Meb, and Hall all the way
The song is 300 violin orchestra..
great music
Magnifique!!! Quel allure!!!
tempo runs are supposed to be relaxed, he's running 10 miles at a pace he can normally keep for 13 miles, so he's not pushing it too hard (by his standards). It's nonetheless a very important training session for a long distance runner.
Nice work, Good Luck!
good luck from Salt Lake City
wow, great run!
respect!
So efficient
Good luck in Houston!
Beast, go Meb!!!
努力再努力 , 一定會達成目標 。
I hope they're specially designed, because those Skechers GOruns look pretty awful for elite runners. (Love the PR jargon all over the shoes too: "Smart Shoe" (for sole), "resalyte" (for random piece of rubber), "vari-lock" (for shoelace hole!).)
@Dashir101 Not only them :P But the majority yeah, it's in the culture of these countries, running villages and stuff for one! And then there's simple genetics, the way their bodies are shaped naturally is good for long distance running. Once they cut their body fat so much it only gets easier surely
But no it isn't. It is actually called Buy "Clear Eyes, Full Heart" on
Artist
T. Powell
I found out by looking where the song name is on every youtube video...
your right, all these marathon times shuold be thrown out the window because theyre flat.. infact, we should add hills to tracks to make it tougher! I'm sure you could beat these guys if only there were more hills!...re read what you wrote and see how ridiculous that sounds.. of course flat is faster
Meb is American. He was born in Eritea, but fled to the US when he was 12. He's not Kenyan.
His 10 mile pace is like my 1 mile pace haha he's beast
@Dashir101 - It can't be diet cause Meb eats pancakes and Lagat eats Outback steaks.
I know what a tempo run is supposed to be, I am just saying I can't believe his back is arched like that without being tense. And that my back starts to get pretty tired if I am hitting 5:20s for more than 4 or 5 miles.
@casue09 300 Violin Orchestra by Jorge Quintero
me too!
❤❤❤❤❤
keep running, take days off in between runs, make sure to get a bunch of protein for your muscles. if you get split shins, rest for about a week, it always helps to strenghen your legs and calves.
my legs starting to hurt just watching him run
MUY BUENO....
yaa I know right ,, and what about that Brian guy did he ever make it
Incrível !
i bet you would be hard pressed to find any sort of athlete who engages in their sport with passion and does not injure themselves at some point. i am an avid long distance runner and i have been for many years. i have been faced with injury and i have healed. it is also worth noting that i 23 years old and in the best shape i have ever been in my entire life. no diminished health here due to excessive cardio vascular exercise. your comment was rude, ignorant, and out of place. good day.
He is really fast for 10 miles. That like a national athletes 5k speed! JESUS CHRIST MAAAAAN!
Yeah I know thanks.
Rhys Nichols well, that's a combo of great genetics and hard ass work!
Can anyone tell me where to find that beat? I would really appreciate it.
vai vai vaivaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
300 violin orchestra Jorge quintero
You do know Meb is American, right? He was born in Eritrea, but fled to the US when he was 12.
I like the music, what its name?
the guy on the bike passes out from exhaustion, and the kenyan runs over him.
i have to do 30km now and im sooo lazy, its cold and windy... need some inspiration :P
anyone know what shoes hes wearing?
The guy on the bike looks more tired than the one actually running
what's the name of the song?
@lucasboden haha wow u have no idea what a diet is. that's a common mistake but a diet is not someone trying to lose weight you can go on a low carb, calorie, etc diet or you can have a high carb, calorie, etc diet and these guys burn A LOT of calories and a pancake or a steak is what you want to eat after those long runs
perfect weather for a 30k
i guess he heel strikes but his pace is so quick that it doesnt even matter. this beat doesn't fit the footage at all tho. belongs with a montage of rocky protoges working out or something
Sir fast daudne ke liye practice kaise kare
song?
Awesome, you could probably balance an apple on that guy's head.
what was his pace? 10mph ? or more like 13mph ?
Shoes?
congratulation of you
but meri running nahi ban rahi hai
速い いい走りです
distance > sprinting
lets add some hills to that route and see how it goes.... what makes a great runner? someone that can run with speed and endurance on any route description. All these super fast marathon times are run on such flat routes.
What's the song in the background?
+Jonathan Kim 300 violin orchestra
i wish i was born in Africa...people that were born to run.
Meb is American
hahaha his 10 mile pace is my one mile pace
300 violin orchestra
what pace was he going at?
@tadaa11 haha I do the same thing
gimme my cycle back!
the only good heelstriker
wouldn't it have been easier to just say interval training? i've been doing "HIIT" my entire career, but never knew it by that name. i just call it working out. it would probably help your argument to know more about the sport you are criticizing. they are great for speed workouts, but you aren't going to get anywhere with improving your vo2 maximum. what do i know? you seem to be the fitness guru here paco.
how fast is this pace?
Faster than a speeding bullet.
+kdangerous Around 3:00 min/km +/- 5 Sec
I can barley run a 5k like that
because you are not fast enough..what else do you want?
Shame that white guy stole his bicycle
jonnyy40 that's alright, meb's keeping up just fine!
Omg. I'm crying right now. ROTFF. 😂😂😂
troll McTrollerson
Fillm
Someone has stolen a bike from nigga.
lol
looks like 2000m race pace hahahahha
