Russell please don't worry. I'm 71 yrs old I was diagnosed with the exact same diagnosis 6 years ago. I know how you are feeling it's very frightening but the one thing that I'm sure got me through it all was my positivity that I was going to kick it's arse right out my body. I kept positive and even during the really tough times I still kept positive. Fight fight fight never give up even when you feel everything is going in wrong direction. You will lose weight lose your hair and appetite but try and eat soup and drink Bovril. I was 65 you are a young fit healthy man and have a wife to spend years of wedding anniversaries with. Take everything you are given the chemo sessions are gruelling but if you can take them all then you will have a really good chance. Also I took radiation for my spine as the chemo didn't quite catch that part. I'm living proof you can survive this diagnosis. Remember keep positive and when times get tough just look at them as small blips in your journey to get well. God bless you and your wife as she needs love as well. Florence from Scotland x
God bless you, Florence. Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration. ❤️❤️
Your attitude is amazing. You got this. I'm praying with you, for you.
Hey bud, just saw your vid on my recommended tab. I just relapsed with my cancer after being "cancer free" for about 3 months. I have stage 2 Rhabdomyosarcoma but I feel it might have progressed to stage 3 cuz of the immense amount of pain it's putting me through. It's nothing like the pain I felt during the first time around. Thankfully I start radiation treatment in a few days. Here's to both of us beating cancer for good and being cancer free. I'll be watching more of your vids as they come out. Take care of yourself 🎗️💪
Sounds like a tough journey and I'm sorry you gotta deal with all of that. You're a warrior. I have faith that you will beat this as well. I'll be praying for you and rooting you on. Wishing you more blessings along with great health.
@@russellmenez thanks so much, it means a lot. I believe you'll beat it too. Nothing can stop warriors like us. 💪
hey how are you doing now? Hope all is well@@Ro11erDemon
My diagnosis to remission for Hodgkins was 5 months. January will be one year remission Lord willing . Praying for ya
Amazing! Wishing you a cancer free rest of your long life! Much love always.
You showed up in my feed probably because I am doing my own cancer battle. I am 13 treatments of chemo ahead of you for breast cancer. You're right, a positive attitude will help keep you strong.
This will be a tough fight but you can beat cancer! Prayers up for a full healing. 🙏
You and I will win our battles. I'm sorry you're going through that. I'll be praying for you as well. We got this.
Thank you, Russell, for sharing your story with us. I hate that you had such a weirdo doc to deal with. Hopefully your oncology team is more sensitive and nice in their dealings with you. I know that with Hodgkin's, you can live for a longer time compared to other cancers at stage 4. I myself have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer to bones, ribs, spine, lung and lymph. Two and a half years after diagnosis, I'm thriving and getting on ok and not in pain. I've had chemo, radiation, and now take daily hormone blockers specific to my type of breast cancer. They also give me shots every month to strengthen my bones and you should ask about those, too, since you have bone mets. Stay positive, eat well, get plenty of sleep and enjoy your life. Don't let cancer hold you back from living. Hugs and prayers!
So far, my oncology team has been great. I'm sorry you have to go through all of that. You're truly an inspiration. Hope everything has been going well with you. Sending you hugs and prayers too. ❤
You got this bro! I’ll be watching every video in anticipation for that full recovery video to drop! You’re in my prayers 🙏🏽
How old is he
You have immense strength to share this journey. Living a healthy life combined with youth, a will to fight and a good support system will get you through this. Praying and wishing you countless blessings as you navigate this difficult time. Stay strong!
Love you so much baby neph ♥️ we are all here with you. Thank you for your vulnerability and sharing your journey with everyone.
Tremendous video all the way around! So many thoughts and emotions from both you and I'm sure your viewers. It's is very clear it's a challenge that you are ready to conquer! It's cool that you're documenting this too! It will inspire so many people to stay strong and positive when dealing with any of life's difficulties. Can't wait to see you back at the gym ...cancer free! 💯🙏💪
SUGAR feeds cancer.. ZERO SUGAR BRO!!!!
I've got faith I will conquer this and I hope documenting my journey helps others who are in similar situations. I've also restricted sugar from my diet and I believe it feeds cancer too. Thanks for the love, my guy.
Thank you for being so vulnerable with us. Your positivity is truly unmatched. I love that you are using this as an opportunity to continue your passion of documenting and creating. Looking forward to following your journey to be cancer free!!
❤❤❤❤
Right there with you buddy. Was diagnosed a month ago with state 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I’m 28 years old. Just did my first AAVD treatment. and I can feel positive and negative effects from that. Can’t wait to see you kick this things ass and come out on top. We got this!
We definitely got this! Sending you positive energy and prayers, bro! We'll come out thriving.
Keeping positive is an important key to recovery. You are basically a pretty healthy guy; which is going to help you immensely in your journey. Keep your chin up and continue to persevere through this.
I just came across your video, but you come across as a very strong young man, with a clear head and a fighter. Praying for you young man, you got this🤲🤲
Much appreciated 🙏❤️
Oh sweetie! You do not have to be strong for your precious wife. You two are in this together. Remember when you are in the fiery furnace..He is in there with you. You have been given excellent advice and it’s so important to have a great patient/oncologist relationship. So glad you do. The initial neurosurgeon. He’s not the most important person on this earth. If needed I’m confident he has access to a neurosurgeon that does not have an overinflated opinion of their own importance.
Hugs to you and your wife. We will pray you through this!
Thank you for the love and prayers. ❤
What a journey it’s been already 😭 it takes such great strength to go thru what you’ve been thru and I truly admire your positive attitude. Your mentality is so rare and I have no doubts that you are going to beat this. I cannot wait to see you win and I am so proud of all you have accomplished already ❤ know that you have a whole support system cheering you on and here for you every step of the way!!!
Love you so much. Thank you for all the support and prayers. You're the best, sis.
I am sorry you got this crappy diagnosis. You have great positive energy that will help you kick cancer's butt💪 I know you got this Russell .God bless you!💜

Thank you brotha ❤️❤️
I’m so sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but I love your energy and positivity. God only gives the toughest battles to the strongest … Amen! Praying for you! 🙏🏾
Appreciate your kind words. I'm doing great at the moment and in remission. Will have another scan in a few months. Thank you so much for the prayers. They definitely work.
I wish you healing. Something I just started doing that may interest you is I put clear quartz crystals in my drinking water. The first few times I did it I felt weird, kind of light headed. The claim is that it clears toxins and various things from the body. I am convinced it helps and when we are ill every little thing we do to help ourselves adds up. Wishing you the best.
Your video came up on my recommendation tab.
The way you explained your timeline and your outlook on all of this is very noble for a young man. I believe this documentation will help others along with support from your community. May God keep you strong and healthy. I will keep you in my prayers. I'm going to watch your other videos to see how you are doing. Much respect from a grandma in Massachusetts.
I appreciate you watching and for your support. I hope it helps others as well. 🙏❤️
Sending positive energy!
I will pray my heart out for you! I’m so sorry for all this.
Thank you for your honesty- God bless you always
Bless your heart! I truly hate cancer.. Here's what I hope you know: Hodgkin lymphoma is a very treatable and highly curable type of lymphoma with standard therapies such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy. I will be on this journey with you sending healing, positive energy to you through spirit.
Thank you. God bless. ❤️
Hodgkins's Lymphoma is one of those cancers which often affects young, healthy people. Your healthy lifestyle will make a big difference in dealing with the treatment.
He was a constant drinker that causes cancer 😂
@@Bambotb It might cause cancer of the liver, but it would not cause lymphoma.
@@sylviarogier1 you're so wrong 😂 it can cause every cancer
@@Bambotb This is what came up when I typed into Google, "Does alcohol cause cancer?" "Alcohol increases the risk for several cancers, including oral cancer, pharynx and larynx cancers, colorectal and esophageal cancers, as well as liver and breast cancers." Notice that this list does not include lymphoma.

Hi Russell, first of all, condolences to you, your wife and family on the loss of your SIL….and….cancer sucks! I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer in May 2020. Went through chemo, an operation, more chemo and have been in remission since January 2021. It’s a good thing that you are documenting your journey. I wish I had enough knowledge of the internet to have documented mine. I am 70 yrs old. I admire your positive attitude. It will be difficult and at times you will feel all alone even with all who love you by your side. Lots of people will offer advice. They all mean well but you have to do what is best for you. During my treatment I often said that I felt like an athlete running up a mountain with lots of friends, family and strangers cheering me on but I had to do it alone. Just remain positive and keep the faith that you will get through this. Wishing you strength to handle what’s ahead and please….take it one day at the time. Virtual hug from Rita in The Netherlands ❤
Appreciate the great advice, Rita. Thank you. ❤️
Dude, did they do that bone marrow biopsy without sedating you? If so, that’s crazy. I get liver biopsies due to my liver disease and I make sure that I am fairly out of it. I still feel it but the edge is taken way off. I’m so sorry you had to deal with that.
I will be following your journey now. I am amazed at how many young folks are getting cancer and I truly believe it’s 100% environmental which is sad. I don’t know if you’ll accept prayers. If so, I will be happy to add you to my prayer list. Your wife too. I’m so sorry about the loss of her sister. Man, when it rains, it popes right? Blessings to you both! ❤
I had the area of my bone marrow biopsy numbed, but I believe that was just for the skin. Once my doctor got into my bone, he took a while because I guess my bones were too thick for his drill 😅. I hope you have been doing well with your liver.
Wishing you the best. And yes, we love prayers. I really appreciate your kindness. I’ll be praying for you and your family too.
@@russellmenez that is rough. Next time ask them to sedate you using versed and fentanyl. I can’t believe they did it without the sedation. I’m so so sorry. Prayers headed your way.
Stay strong!
Praying for you to get through this. You earned a sub from me. Thank you for sharing and your honesty openness is refreshing to hear! My mom went through ovarian cancer, had a large mass removed and two years later is now cancer free!
Thank you for the prayers. Means the world. Your mom sounds amazing. ❤️❤️
God Bless you I’m praying for you stay strong!!
Much appreciated 🙏
Love you, kuya 🫶 this is really really special and beautifully explained ✨ you’re such a beast, bro 💪 I’m so sorry you have to go through all of this… but I know the comeback will be much greater than the setback 💯 you’ll be inspiring others with this content, as you always do! I appreciate you! Thanks for the good energy. Will do!
You are definitely one of Gods strongest soldiers and I have every faith you WILL get through this🙏🏼♥️ my best friend is just about to have another biopsy but in her swollen neck lymph node and an MRI.. she’s already had tests and they believe it’s lymphoma but they need to confirm it. You truly are inspiring and so positive and I will follow your journey and keep you in my prayers too🙏🏼♥️ also… I’m SO sorry to hear about your sister in law 😢 prayers going up for your brother too🙏🏼
I’ll include your best friend in prayers. May God grant her strength and healing always! I appreciate the love and support.
@@russellmenez Thank you SO much for your prayers for my best friend ♥️ She’s going downhill fast bless her physically and mentally. You are on my heart and definitely have my support and prayers 🙏🏼♥️
Time to get a journal so you can track what your body is doing. By doing so you will be able to plan your week as to how many days you need to lay low to recover from the Chemo. The closer you get to the end of Chemo the more toxic your body will be and the more tiredness you will experience . Get in contact with the American Cancer Society. They have volunteers who can drive you to the Chemo / Radiation. Just remember to "chunk it down" while you are going through this. Focus on one week at a time. If that is too difficult try a different amount of time (day by day). This will make this journey a lot easier for you and your wife. Good Luck !
PS: I am in Remission after 15 months. Still nursing a triple fracture 3 days after my Chemo was over (14 pins / 2 plates). Be careful with falls and slips... 😮 And this too shall pass!
Thank you for the tips. Much appreciated. You are an inspiration. 🫶
My man !!! I had the exact lymphnode left clavicle removed 8 years ago to determine my cancer diagnosis which was metastatic thyroid cancer had a full thyroidectomy had a gnarly 14 “ cut around my throat and had 26 lymphnodes removed and radiation therapy I’m 8 years cancer free and confident to say you’ll beat this easily bro keep your mindset positive and don’t stop living !! 💙💪 God Bless from Sydney Australia
Dang! You are a true warrior. That must've been a crazy ride. I am happy to hear that you have been 8 years cancer free and I'm hoping to be the same. I appreciate the good vibes and love. It's a goal of mine to visit Australia one day. God bless!
I'm sorry that doctor was a jerk. I have had my fair share of those as well. My condolences to you and your wife's family in regards to your sister on law. That's awful. I do pray for you and hope that in upcoming videos you are free of cancer!❤ God bless you!
Im sure it is truly heartbreaking to be someone who actually took steps to take care of their health and they still come down with something it just shows us that there is probably so much more shit we are still being exposed to even when we think we have all the lifestyle factors and its truly disgusting that we still arent able to get closure on all the stuff going on within our environment or the stuff that they allow to go on that causes so many health problems. I know how u feel to a degree granite what i had was no where near as serious im still trying to recover some of my organs that i did damage to thru poor eating habits and now im just now starting to actually take my health as serious as i should hoping that its not too late to reverse the damage i did to myself. U are better than me i wouldnt know how to stay positive especially being someone who like u who actually put in effort to be healthy yet to still come down with something like this. Im typing so much bc i truly feel for u brother. I got my first taste of this type of stuff late last year and i hope i never have to be so sick in the hospital with anything like that ever again but we still never know even when we think were doing everything right. U didnt do anything to deserve this so dont keep wondering what u did to make it happen. Truth is im sure we are probably surrounded by a whole bunch of toxins aside from our diet that our gov does nothing about but act like diet and being active is going to make sure u dont get sick from anything like this. But obviously we know that that must not be the only factor. I really hope u get thru this. I knew of so many young ppl in my life getting leukemia and cancers and just being in shock from it. I had a kidney stone and sepsis before which ofc pales in comparison with what u have and i already feel like traumatized from that whole experience i could never imagine dealing with something so serious and yet being able to so positive about the situation as well. I have bo problem amditting u r better and stronger than me bruh i wouldnt even know how to process a situation like this as I already have very poor stress management seeing videos like this reminds me to never take this life for granted. I dont know u personally but i wish u well brother.💯🖤🙏
Man, I appreciate all the kind words. I hope you are doing a lot better now and are well. I'll keep you in my prayers and will be rooting you on. Honestly, I am traumatized from this whole experience and a lot of patients that I met that went through this or similar recommended therapy. I've already felt a lot of friends/family brushing me off because I'm public about my journey, but I'm not ashamed because I know this isn't my fault. Like you said, we could do everything to take care of ourselves, but still come down with something. I believe you aren't late to reverse the damage either. Everyone is different, so there is no exact guideline to fixing ourselves. It's just a matter of listening to our bodies and figuring out what works for us. Let's take our journey and create something epic out of it. God got us bro. Stay blessed.
@@russellmenez 🖤💯🙏
Hey . . your amazing journey has just begun. My grandmother died of breast cancer yrs. ago. My mom said it runs in the family. Being a nurse I have seen and heard stories too. Winning a battle depends on your fighting strategies, your fighting spirit and fighting faith. You fight to win, right? To lose patience is to lose the battle. Your journey is not just yours, also your friends including me and loved ones. Godspeed.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. May she send you blessings from above every day
Thanks for sharing your journey. My 15 year old has just been diagnosed with stage 4 hodgkins also. We have just completed the first cycle of chemo

I'm glad to hear it's going away! God bless you always man!
im glad ur doing well
Means a lot!
Sorry to hear about the lymphoma. My grandfather had the same thing. You are a young fellow. There is likely something in your living environment (or your exposure history -- exposure to pesticide years ago is one that I read for non-hodgkins lymphoma) that put you on a fast track. In order to give yourself the best chance to heal, those environment problems need to be addressed. I strongly recommend you turn down all EMFs in your living environment -- no cell phone (unless on a wire), no WIFI (use ethernet instead), no AC electricity in the bedroom. Most of these cost nothing and are merely behavioral changes. These environment improvements can make a huge difference for a body to heal. Magnetic fields near your daytime office space or your bedroom are common, and some people truly suffer a health collapse. If you indeed want to focus on cleaning up your environment, consider engaging a building biologist who services your area.

What do you think led to your illnes. .?
Not sure because I had a pretty clean lifestyle prior to all of this. Went to the gym daily and always was conscious with what I ate. My doctor said it could have been from stress and says without my healthy lifestyle, my lymphoma would have been super aggressive right now presenting me with bad B symptoms.
