sorry I don't understand, is it only carved or is it also cut on the lower side? Is this machine capable to cut (to cut not to carve) almost 3mm of plywood with this tool?

it can do both cut and engrave.I am afraid 3mm plywood is too hard to be cut,but you can mark on surface
