Trama:
L'impero dei Boazan, governato dallo spietato imperatore Zambazir, sta lentamente espandendo il proprio dominio stellare in tutto l'universo. La terra è il prossimo pianeta destinato alla sottomissione, ma come ultimo baluardo a difesa della razza umana si ergono cinque giovani in grado di pilotare il potente Vultus V: robot assemblabile nato dall'unione di cinque velivoli, frutto delle ricerche scientifiche effettuate dal professor Kentarus, scomparso in una missione di pace su Boazan, dal dottor Esperus e dal generale Kanin. Michelle, Zaki, Ivan, Carl e Sonia ingaggeranno una dura battaglia a bordo del Vultus V per sbaragliare le orde nemiche inviate da Sirius, principe di Boazan, e salvare il genere umano dall'estinzione. Una lotta fratricida che farà scoprire a Michelle e ai suoi fratelli Ivan e Carl il mistero legato alle loro origini e la verità sull'incomprensibile scomparsa del padre Kentarus. Riusciranno cinque ragazzi a sconfiggere un nemico tanto potente contando unicamente sulle loro forze e sulle straordinarie capacità belliche del Vultus V?

So apparently this "film" of the Voltes V tv show ends with....a cliffhanger?
I guess you could say that Voltes V: The Liberation is its sequel but I dunno, seeing as that film is hard to come buy (outside the Philippines)
there is no voltes 5 movie... ever. not in japan for sure. they just took parts of the tv episodes and edited them into a two hour movie. the cliffhanger is because the last few episodes never aired due to a dictator imposing his fake values to the masses.

actually voltes 5 ang part two ng super robot series. yung pinakita pagkatapos ng voltes 5 sa pinas ay combatler 5 na nauna nung pinalabas sa japan. magkamukha lang sila dahil parehong combining robot. yung series kapag pinanood ng magkasunod ay dapat combatler 5, voltes 5 tapos daimos. pero hindi related ang mga storya.

I was grade 4 when voltes v is aired in the Philippines but Ferdinand Marcos banned it, i was young before and i dont understand why Marcos banned it. Stupid regime.
Hi Ronnie. Voltes V was banned because of the complaints from parents that it's violent and it's promoting violence among children, that children were influenced to become violent because of watching it.
That is what I know as I recall the day my aunt told me about the news that Marcos is banning it along with other super robot anime shows.
It sounds like was the people fault, who complained about violence cartoons.

Where the series main antagonist Dictator Emperor Zambajil became prominent. & it shown how his regime don't give a damn about his people. Which cause the Bozanian slave revolt led by Dr. Armstrong & Voltes Team. Of cause we know how FM feels about revolution.
