He's a vegan kindergarten teacher with a degree in economics, a masters in business management on top of everything else, he's a little unreal.
Honestly Shownu is an idol that I would trust with my life and I don't think anything would change that.
Shownu the perfect husband material. Period.
But in all seriousness, Shownu is that type of leader who doesn't like to stand out, but you know he's there. His presence as a leader is overwhelming. He's protective and caring even without saying anything. He's attention span is quite impressive cause aside from focusing on the fans, he also looks out for his members at the same time.
And Idk, maybe not debuting with JYP is a blessing in disguise too? Because if he had debuted there, he wouldn't have met his current members. But either way, I know he'll give his all to perform and everyone will still love him because he's perfect.
I want to cry over this man seriously he is the most wholesome kpop idol (words can’t explain how amazing he is and the thing is he probably doesn’t even know it )🥺 so down to earth

He is so hardworking 🥺 before he enlisted he filmed a lot of vlogs called „Shownuayo“ so that we can still see him even when he is in the military! Also those videos are so cute and funny, you should definitely watch them in your free time 🥰

Rain is who got me into k=pop in 2003. He was the king of k-pop at one point.
So sad that chaena only has done shownu for the newer version but the old ones are great too but would love to see the members’ updated guide too
Also, Shownu reminds me of Leeteuk(Super Junior) so much. He always supports other members, coming to their solo concerts and mv shootings, even if he is very busy with his own schedules. He protects members a lot, comforts them and gives all his love.

Shownu was the first Monsta X member I noticed, I mean look at him. I also love his singing voice, and he always draws my eyes when he dances, but he really became my favorite when I saw his personality.
I have a soft spot for the quiet introverted types that are caring, and crack terrible(meaning, they make me laugh) dad jokes. Probably because I can relate.
He's just so lovably awkward at times. And the way he looks so fondly at his members when they are behaving crazy is the sweetest thing. I just love him.
Btw, Monsta X Ray is their group variety show. And my favorite acting exercise of them was when Shownu was the Leading man, and Kihyun, their Main Vocalist, is his Leading Lady 😂.
I love it to the point that I almost ship the Pretty Girl version of Kihyun with Shownu.

Someone asked me once why he’s my bias and all I could think about is how he provides calm. He’s a comfort person. I could be having a bad day and all I have to do is watch one of his Shownuayo vlogs to feel better. He’s an overall amazing person and I’m super proud of everything he’s done and everything he is. He’s my person.

my bias!! he's so fucking fluffy. He really be coming for my ult bias spot on the daily. Like I love Monsta X, but they aren't even my ult group and Shownu COMES AFTER MY HEART! I'm sad he's in the military, but also kind of glad he already went because the sooner he goes the sooner he'll be back.

It’s definitely worth diving deep into Rain. I’ve love rain since I was in middle school and now I’m 26 his music is rnb heavy and very sensual some of his more recent songs are more pop/ dance influence but he is still very much an rnb singer! Any idols that love rain I tend to love as well!
Shownu is my Ult bias. He is so hot, good looking and has a good personality. 💙🐻 The rest of the members are my wreckers. ☺️
There's 3 seasons of monsta x Ray and its there variety show that drama was just one of the episodes. You should watch it it's very funny x

shownu + wonho, we call them soulmates. they really really vibed together and they belong together 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Since you asked about Wonho I feel like I should just tell you about the situation that happened - I'm pretty sure there is no video covering that sad story lol So "the scandal" regarding him appeared a couple of days before their Follow comeback in the end of October 2019 - the story about him doing drugs (well, marijuana) and borrowing money from 'a friend' - both things years before, like when he was still a trainee. The 'friend' was that awful woman who did a lot of similar stories about other idols (like BI from iKON for example) before that... she's supposed to be in jail now btw. Anyway, all hell broke loose and he was under a lot of fire and then the comeback came and the next day he left the group - simply because he didn't want Monsta X to suffer because of all the talks going around about him. It was proven that nothing was true in the end btw. But the fandom was fighting for him for months - against the injustice and defamation and cyberbullying - both for him and Monsta X, but also because that kind of thing can happen to any idol and it simply shouldn't happen. We were trending hashtags on twitter every day and did a lot of projects both in Korea and in America, trying to bring more attention to it. Monsta X had a hard time too, of course, with Jooheon soon going on hiatus because of his anxiety/mental health issues. In the end, after a couple of months Wonho was proven innocent and soon after that he signed the contract with Highline Entertainment - which is a subsidiary of Starship Entertainment - so they are kind of still under the same company (for example Hyungwon's DJ career is under Highline Entertainment too), but because Starship is legally not allowed to use Wonho's image or name anymore he is usually blurred out of all the old photos when they use them - for example in the documentary about Monsta X. We don't like it, but we can't really do anything about it... And the members are obviously not allowed to publicly talk about him or mention him. They're all still obviously brothers/friends and there were instances where we knew they still hang out together and of course support each other. But it's kind of a taboo topic publicly. He, of course, only gets credited for the songs he wrote for Monsta X. The whole thing is unfair, especially considering how much loved Wonho was in Monsta X and how much love he always gave to both members and fans - he used to be a Monbebe king really - that's also why Monbebe fought even harder for him. Really a pure, loving soul. Anyway, we were at least happy to see him continuing his career as a solo artist, especially since we were all very worried about it not being possible at first. There is an older guide to Wonho - from the time when he was still in Monsta X, so I recommend watching that. I hope I helped with this explanation.

Yes! Happy for this Monsta X week! Shownu is one of my biases and I can very much relate to him and to everything you said about being an introvert. I feel the need for connection, but it drains me out. Shownu really reminds me of my brother. I think they have a very similar personality, like quiet but goofy, caring and sweet. He has a great body and I could tell it was a swimmer's body because of the broad chest and shoulders before even being told about his past as a swimmer. He's a great dancer and to me he's the best looking member in Monsta X (I love them all, but my eyes go on him in terms of aesthetics). He also sings very soulfully. Definitely an interesting person all round

By the way thank you so much for including wonho. Us monbebe love our wonho and the fact that you are including him and doing his guide and getting to know him means a lot to us fans. Yes he is an amazing solo artist and does it beautifully. But we still consider monsta x as 7 members. So it is so greatly appreciated that you are including him. You are one of the best :) thank you for that.
I was on my way to bed, but saw this upload so since I had finished watching the group guide reaction just a bit earlier, I had to stay and watch this one. Shownu gives off this giant teddy bear vibe. Like, his presence is comforting somehow. I mean, I don't know him personally, obviously, but this is the vibe I get from watching him on programs, etc.
My bias!! Oh I love him so. If Covid had not messed things up and pushed the tour back 3 times now I would have seen them for what would have been the All About Lov tour. Now it is called the The No Limit tour and Shownu will not be there. But I will still enjoy seeing them none the less and I can’t wait till mid May. There have been a few times where he will drop a choreography video in his birthday for the fans. I love the ost song that he did with Minkyuk and his solo osts. His voice is like honey.

Shownu is friends with Ten from Nct/WayV since hit the stage where they both appeared and they had a performance on MBC Gayo Daejejeon, plus a video behind the scenes of said performance. You should check it out!!
So happy you are getting into Monsta X 😆😆😆. They are one of my top groups and their B sides are amazing. Also, if you do end up standing them ... forewarning they have a big discography 😁. In my collection Monsta X is the group where I have the most albums ... they don't miss. Enjoy the journey.

As i said in the other video about Wonho: basically a lot of lies (SERIOUS LIES, drugs and theft if i am not mistaked) about wonho so he decided to leave the group, because the group could be affected. And yes everything was cleared and he did nothing what people were saying he did (i hate this situation so much) .
IDK if Shownu will ever have his own solo stuff, but he has an O.S.T, I’ll Be There, in the Tale of the Nine Tailed tv show. And he IS an actor and he’s in an episode of Seoul Goedam which is coming to Netflix April 27!!!
This video put me into missing Shownu hours. Just 374 days left until he’s discharged… 😭😭
OH. And the song he was singing when you asked if it was a b-side. That’s also a an OST, which he did with Minhyuk.

Whoever made this " super vague" "guide" needs to discover more of Shownu. very Dissatisfied with this guide . As someone who has Never properly "stanned" anyone in kpop over years or chose a " bias" , SHOWNU is like the first & Only idol who blew me away with his perfection. The time i fully got to experience the lethal phenomenon of "Shownuism" , i couldn't believe such a man existed. Words wouldn't do justice to the perfection this man holds. He's a league of his own, exceptionally talented, immaculate af !! wish i had met him sooner. Can't wait for his Solo
So chaenas videos don't really address the Wonho situation because the first round of individual guides and the group guide came out shortly before it even happened (Oct 31 2019). As far as I'm concerned she's working on updated guides for all of them but it's a lot of work and content keeps flowing so we only have the updated version for Shownu up to now. The Wonho guide won't address the situation or show any of his solo stuff since it's literally older than all those happenings.
I don't really want to explain the whole situation either as it's pretty hard to look back to and I was a fan back when it happened and it was kinda traumatic but I can try to give some important stuff...
Basically, right before the comeback with Follow he was accused for multiple things (drugs, stealing, making fun of a feminist movement) all at once, which were completely out of context and obviously there to destroy his reputation and to target the groups comeback as they were really on the rise towards the end of 2019. Of course as the korean netizens love drama like this and push it out of proportion it quickly got worse and worse and just 3 days after album release he announced his departure from the group, saying the members don't have anything to do with his actions and that he wants us to keep supporting them. He literally sacrificed his whole career for the sake of the group without telling them or the entertainment beforehand. Afterwards there was the official announcement of his departure from the group and he just disappeared as if nothing happened while the other members had to keep going promoting Follow as 6 with a new choreography from one day to the other and the grief of knowing one of their brothers left and the hate he and the rest of the members as well were receiving. Watching those Follow stages in a row shows a really interesting view on how they felt because the emotions evolve extremely from one video to the other, from sadness and frustration to anger and fighting spirit.
So the fandom started some kind of revolution online and offline as many people started protesting in front of the company building but had to give up for legal reasons after a while. Yet supportive hashtags for Wonho and MX trended for months on twitter and multiple projects all over the world were started.
About two years ago he was cleared of all allegations, which proved there was a whole police investigation going on which also kinda explained why Wonho wasn't seen like at all for months. Then he announced he had signed with Highline Ent., which is a subsidiary of Starship and he announced his solo debut and his new fandom name (Wenee as in We Need (each other)). And then Losing You dropped which is obviously his side of the story and now slowly he gets to build up his career and he can finally promote in korea again on variety programs (which he didn't do at all for his debut because korean people just don't understand he was cleared and still plead him guilty for things he didn't do probably because it is more convenient than believing in someones innocence.)
That's a very basic version of the story I personally lived through, others might have other viewpoints as well but for me he will always remain a big part of the group but that doesn't mean he can't be a solo artist or MX isn't good as they are now. I'm okay with accepting the situation now, as they all worked hard to rebuild their reputations and I just hope they will be able to acknowledge each other openly some day.

Actually Shownu is doing the sexy stuff on stage or during performance on purpose, he completely understands his sexiness and how that can affect the fans or audience, and to be honest that's exactly what he's been trying to do, attracting attention and making the crowds notice him or being attracted to him. As a matter of fact, Shownu spends great time and effort in his private time to maintain this sexy image. He does workouts literally every day, jogging every morning, often on a diet before important performance (despite he's the biggest foodie I've ever seen), always learning new dance moves and styles to create different stroke of sexiness, carefully choosing his wardrobe to show off his fit & strong physique, etc. He enjoys and likes being seen as a sexy guy. Publicly.
But outside of the stage, he's actually a reserved guy, he's usually quiet and laid-back. Sexiness isn't that much of a important thing, and he would indulge himself with FOOD. He's a simple, and straightforward guy. Like the typical straight guy, lol. 😂😂😂
Despite his sexy image, Shownu is actually smart and a hard worker, he knows what his fans want to see on him, so he does everything he can just to make his fans happy. He also mentioned this a couple of times during his interview or vlog. People who don't know him very well might see him as a show-off, a flexer, but honestly, Shownu is just a simple lovable guy who deserves a little more love. I hope whoever reads this would give this hard working young man a little more love as well. 😊

Me too, so I'm doing my best to live a productive everyday life and waiting for his comeback. I literally listen to Monsta X & Shownu's songs everyday when I start to think of Nunu again. 😂😂😊💕🐻

In regards to the scandal, WONHO was slandered and falsely accused of drug use (marijuana). Korea has a zero tolerance policy for drugs, so he decided to leave Monsta X in order to prevent dragging down the whole group. Thankfully, in under a year his name was cleared and he was able to pursue music again. Monbebe are so proud of him considering all the hardships he was put through !!!
I still don't understand why Wonho wanted to leave Monsta X, because he should have known that he's innocent, he knows this better than any other person. I respect his decision on this, but still I doubt if this is necessary.
But yeh, maybe he can find a less stressful place and a better artist career when he left the identity as an idol. Let's just hope that he's doing better and better now.
@@flyisdancing as what was mentioned, S.Korea has a zero tolerance policy on drugs. And Knetz are an unforgiving lot. They are quick to pass judgment on idols based on just allegations and what's worse, the entire group tends to get dragged into the criticism for no reason. I totally get why Wonho chose to leave but I wish he hasn't...
