    It give me joy to see in the comments section that Nigeria are not fool look at a old man trying to manipulate the rule of law.(1) How is it possible for two different political body to nominate a candidate in two different position (2) how can you say the law see Abuja as state when it has no governor if in a school you need 5 subject and maths and you have the five without maths how can they say you are qualified it means maths a great value to give you the quality to under go through that school. So that is the case of abuja. And for that old man to say that they filling against me tinubu being arrested by drug is another explanation for being biased they are saying tinubu is accussed of being involved in drug case and forfeited some amount of money while forfeiting money if are not guilty of a case. With all due respect, Mr. Clarke is narrow in his analysis. There was a substantial rigging that removed votes from a political candidate and gave to the other. The malpractice was not just from riots as Mr. Clarke's analysis relies on. Taking the widespread rigging that occurred in so many states, it is not difficult to show that the riggings affected substantially the outcome of the election.

    • @adeshfishfarm5032
      @adeshfishfarm5032 Před rokem +2

      You still don’t get it. He’s saying if all the rigging votes can’t make you a winner then it’s useless. Rigging alone on its on should be enough to disqualify anyone but it’s not like that in our law.

      The man's analysis is not logical. He still dwells in the kangaroo judgments that he and his cohort did push through in the past. The issue of the double nomination of Shettima as challenged by PDP was thrown out because it concerned the primaries that had nothing to do with PDP. Since sheittima did not relinquish the senate nomination even before the submission of the APC candidates to INEC, then LP has the legal locus standi to suit Apc on that. Read the logical connection therein. The FCT is also clear, but, he is twisting it. The fact that someone belongs to a different school of thought has nothing to do with a clear case of the conjuction "and."

    Oga the reason why nobody or party ever won presidential election case in court is because in all those cases the political space has been dominated by 2 political parties. Last election shows us clearly that Tinubu mandate is not from the majority of Nigerians because only pdp and Lp votes added together are more than Apc by more than half. So any party who can bring evidence of just 3 or 4 states where their votes were cut or where there was massive rigging, that party has a high chance of affecting the election results cos the margins between them are not so much compared to the evidence of malpractice they have. Lp lawyers are not playing, they have sat down and did their homework on this so you shouldn't come out to say nobody can convince the tribunal. If that's the case then no need for elections again, let's just go back to the Era of traditional rulers

    The 25% for FCT doesnt make sense you can tell that to Hillary Clinton, Agore and the rest of US whose electoral college prevented them for actualizing their dream. Certain requirements need to be met in order to make it to the throne. 25% in FCT in nigeria is what electoral college is for americans but impunities would make us pave the way for the law to be misinterpreted wrongly.

    It makes sense to specifically put and 25% of Abuja win into the constitution. Abuja is indeed a unique state because the people who wrote the constitution wanted a true representation of Nigeria by a president who won an election. The people who wrote the constitution was aware that Lagos the old capital was a treat to the new capital Abuja being a brand new state. The creation of Abuja was a further process to create a more united Nigeria with the view to balance nationalities from different parts of Nigeria unlike Lagos which was recognised as a Yoruba land. Abuja was being recognised as the political head quarters of Nigeria that was the main reason why the wise men added that 25% to Abuja and to emphasis the current development to provide real political power to a presidential election winner.
    Papa Robert Clarke should be aware of this. There is no doubt that the wise men knows what they were doing when they were writing the 25% clause of the Abuja win.
