DIY Paws & Stripes Placemat Pillow

The stores are filled with so many cute things this year for the 4th of July! During a recent trip to Hobby Lobby, we found the most adorable placemats in red, white and blue. They have some really nice cotton ones with two layers of fabric - and for this project, that’s exactly what you’re looking for!
The ones we chose have red and white stripes on one side and a field of bright stars on the back. We knew in an instant they’d make the prettiest no sew throw pillows for the upcoming holiday.
To complete the American Flag look we’re goin’ for, you’ll want to grab some fabric that’s navy with white stars for the embellishment. Rather than stand in line to purchase a small scrap from a bolt of fabric, we found a second placemat that fit the bill perfectly. Just wait ‘til you see what we do with it! The end result is soooo pretty! 😍
