    Editor’s Note: The Tempur-Cloud Supreme by Tempur-Pedic is no longer available, but the TEMPUR-Cloud is! Don’t let the missing word Supreme fool you, this mattress is just as great, if not better!
    The Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme is a memory foam mattress consisting of four foam layers, totaling 11 inches in height. The top layer of the mattress is 1 inch of memory foam. This will provide some pressure relief and some initial contouring. Below the comfort layer is another 2.5 inches of memory foam. This will provide further contouring and allow you to sink further into the mattress for more pressure relief. This layer is slightly firmer than the initial memory foam layer to begin the transition to the layers below.

    The transition layer is 2.5 inches of poly foam and begins to provide some support to the sleeper. This acts as a transition from the soft layers above to the firm base below. It is convoluted for improved airflow through the mattress. The base layer is the foundational support of the mattress and is made of 5 inches of high density polyfoam. This layer provides deep compression support to the mattress and gives the TEMPUR-Cloud its shape.

    My favorite moment is at 7:27! Have this mattress and love it. I also have a chili pad because it gets hot.

    Have a Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze for about 5 years now. Side sleeper. Had to start using a pillow because lower back pain started. Shoulder pain is pretty consistent. Currently looking for a new mattress... not going to be a Tempurpedic.

    How does this compare to the bed in the box tempur cloud? Which is firmer?

    Tempur cloud supreme is way too soft. Disappointing. Really trying to find the mattresses that Holiday Inn Express Hotels use around the country. That's a good mattress. I believe they are Serta's.

    We been sleeping on our mattress for about 5 years and for a while we been having a problem with it, on one side when we lie down it really sinks in much more that the other side, we open a case for the warranty, will see what happens

    So I have had this particular mattress now for a little over a year, and it’s honestly one of the best mattresses I ever had.
    I wish it was a little softer, and of course a little cooler but compared to my other mattresses it’s amazing.
    With that being said, I am a natural born walking heater so I sleep hot. I invested in Protect-A-Bed Snow for not only the best protection for the mattress but also the fact it felt like it was made of snow. I also have some nice cooling sheets as well, so I don’t sleep hot anymore and my mattress still feels like it was when I bought it.
    When I see comments saying that it’s sagging after X amount of months, I honestly question if they rotate the mattress or have a good mattress protector. If you don’t rotate the mattress then you wear out a particular side quicker, and if you don’t have a mattress protector then your body sweat, oils and dust start to degrade the mattress and invite an endless buffet to dust mites to eat and defecate inside the bed.

      For that pricetag it should still not do that after one year.

    • @Nickool4u
      @Nickool4u Před 3 lety

      No, I bought it from Sears back when they were still a thing.
      However.... Wow, a little over a year later of owning this mattress, I can understand the people who have had complaints about Tempur-Pedic.
      I have nights that I sleep comfortably, however lately I’ve been waking up in the morning with terrible lower back pain. I don’t think the mattress is sagging, or dipping anywhere. I think it’s just not giving me the proper support that it once gave me.
      I honestly think I’ll be replacing it with a Sleep Number mattress shortly. After doing some research, they’re the only mattress that makes sense and I can trust to last long. I didn’t spent a lot of money on this Tempur-Pedic because I got a REALLY good deal. With that being said, I would expect a mattress that costs this much to be comfortable and supportive longer than the year or two that I’ve owned it.

    • @Nickool4u
      @Nickool4u Před 3 lety

      Voyageur, after a year or two of owning this mattress... I can agree with you. It should remain comfortable, and supportive like the day I bought it. I now wake up with lower back pain, and while I don’t see any dips or sagging, I know the mattress isn’t supporting me like it should.

    • @Nickool4u
      @Nickool4u Před 3 lety +1

      Destrukt, as a side sleeper and someone with wider shoulders I need something a little softer. Other wise I would just relocate the pain from my lower back to my upper back/shoulder area.
      When I bought this mattress, it wasn’t as soft as I would have liked but it conformed very well to where my shoulders wouldn’t hurt and my back was properly aligned.
      Now I can definitely tell it’s much softer than it once was, but I can also feel the lower back and hip is sinking into the mattress more.

    The measurements look off. No way the green layer is 2” and the next layer underneath is 2.5”. Visually that doesn’t make sense. The top layer is probably 1” not 2”.

    • @kiwi22207
      @kiwi22207 Před 6 lety +4

      It's not. The top layer is temper es material and believe it's only one inch thick. The cloud elite has 2 inches of the tempur es on top

      Correct

  • @DCUPtoejuice
    @DCUPtoejuice Před 5 lety +2

    You have to admit, putting up an image and labelling it 2" and 2.5" when the prior is clearly only 1/3 the thickness. The actual is 1.2" not 2".

    • @stevedyer5902
      @stevedyer5902 Před 2 lety +1

      Yes I noticed the same thing. Thankfully in the description it is correctly labeled as 1 inch for the top layer. The graphic in the video has a typo

  • @DCUPtoejuice

    Is this softer than the original 8"?

    • @Sleepopolis
      @Sleepopolis  Před 5 lety +3

      Unfortunately have not reviewed the 8" but would say the Tempur Cloud is pretty soft in my opinion and the 4.5" of memory foam on top of the mattress allow you to sink deep into the mattress.

    The first 8 months or so you will love this mattress but then it starts to change. The sides start sagging, the mattress is hot, and it sinks and does not recover. If you are 80 pounds you won’t have issues. Wasted my money. And the company would not replace it. They don’t honor their warranty.

    • @OphiuchiChannel

      Good to know and a lot of people complaons about that. Tempurpedic are definitely crooks.

  • @deniselongshiflett6975

    Will the sides sag after time? Any mattress I have had has always after 2 yrs sag, I do use adjustable base. I’ve heard from people when I was shopping for a mattress, they all said, if your using adjustable base all mattresses will sag on the edge over time, is that true? The mattress I have now, I got in 2016. Now I’m looking for a new mattress again! Ugh! Need a new base, got that in 2016 too! Ty

      I have Grand Bed in king size by Tempurpedic, 5 years now and I don't see any sagging. Im 5'5" and 134 pounds. Hope that helps a bit. I love Tempurpedic beds. Just wish they weren't this heavy. Im thinking of selling it and going back to a queen size, just for this and only reason.

    • @Sleepopolis
      @Sleepopolis  Před 5 lety

      Strange, 2 years is too soon to start to sag. Some softer foams will start to sag over time, but I would not expect this mattress to go that quickly.
