A chilled but more uptempo electro dance version of the track for the remix competition on Woody Piano Shack's channel. This is quite a bit different from the original but I always like to do remixes that offer new perspective showing how original elements can be used and manipulated differently in new contexts.
The original beat is eq’d and looped in the background with additional percussive elements and loops added. The filtered sound at the start and throughout is a small 2 note segment from the original's Juno 2 part.
I used the first bit of the initial lead riff from the original and stuttered/bitcrushed it in places before playing it in full. This track is very much sampler based by picking up loops and messing with them. The JX8P riff was chopped up inside a sampler so different notes could be triggered. The first notes are the same as the original before triggering parts to create a new riff/rhythmn variation. It goes through a ladder filter to give it a bit of a different sound.
New parts include monstrous layered bassline and pads plus drums as mentioned.

NIce interesting approach. Nice to hear another dead cat remixer :)) And that I'm not the only one writing long descriptions to explain how things were done ;)

      Cool.
I’m too much of a dolt to figure out how to video-fy my .wav, so I just put it up on SoundCloud last summer and called it a day :-)
