    A perfect reverse off the road into the driveway!

      pwharley I thought that was one of the worst manoeuvres I have seen.
      Did not check his near side mirror or actually use any mirrors but instead put his head through the cab window looking backwards thus restricting his all round vision.
      That would have been a failure on a PSV test.

      that family member'd have had himself a lookout, f f s , wouldn't he have . . . . . . . .

      @peterbustin2683 Před rokem

      He didnt use his mirrors, but looked out of the drivers window. You dont drive a bus like a car. He would fail a PSV test, quite rightly.

    I didn't realise that paying your council tax guaranteed that a double decker bus wouldn't be parked in your street. What tiny minded suburban muppets.

    MCW Metropolitan buses were fine machines, I think they still are.
    When I was a kid in the 1980's, I lived in Reading and there were 61 of them in the fleet from 1975 - 1992.
    In 1983, Reading Transport purchased 21 second hand vehicles from London Transport, but bus 138 (OUC 138R) wasn't one of them though.
    I think the woman moaning about bus 138 was a bit of an old bag.

      I agree; very easy on the eyes indeed...the Metros, Routemasters, and New Looks(? [GM's fishbowls]) were all fantastic to travel in 🍸

      MCWs are lovely to drive and operate. It makes the duty far easier and less tiring, compared to a DMS or RML or Nationals.

      @Invictaview It was sold by LT to this family in Chislehurst and converted to a motor home I believe. It's still around.

    If I saw this, I know this was the Swedish Metro Scania LT bought that only lasted for about 7 years. There's something about buses in unusual places I find exciting. I'd prefer to have these, what seem to be , lovely neighbours and their bus, than a rough neighbourhood full of nasty types.

    Leave it exactly where it is for the next 25 years....you mustn't let sad women like that succeed ...I think it's brilliant.

    I wouldn't like to live in a road where the neighbours have a bus on the drive, the place where it belongs is a depot. I don't even think Stan Butler or Blakey would too.

    Got to side with the lady , bloody great big bus sticks out like a sore thumb on a residential driveway and the owners are just being awkward sods .

    • @JW1_1
      @JW1_1 Před 4 měsíci

      Sounds like you're being an awkward sod, why you worried about a bus on someone else's driveway, worry about your own driveway and your own bleeding house!

  • @blakaeg
    @blakaeg Před 3 lety

    If its not in their drveway, I don't understand why these people complain!! Why should these guys move the bus if its in their own drive. People should just keep themselves to themselves! Act like they own the road!
