@@amirewitherspoon when you initially install the app it will as for permissions such as location services all must be selected to connect. You may need to delete and reinstall if you are not seeing this.
Please confirm you are trying to Sync in the actual App under "MyDevice" not in the phones bluetooth Device menu? You can also look for troubleshooting info in the Operation guide in the menu of the app.
