Pandwani , the Stories of the Pandavas is a folk singing style involving narrating tales from the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata. Bhima, the second brother among the 5 Pandavas, is the story's hero in this style.
This form of folk theatre is popular in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh and the neighboring areas of Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, and Andhra Pradesh.
An informal talk with Smt Taruna Sahu.She is a Pandwani artiste of Chhattisgarh and a disciple of the internationally famed artiste Padma Vibhushan Smt Teejan Bai. Taruna Sahu is serving as an Inspector in the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
