- In this video we will see how to make banana paniyaram recipe in tamil. This sweet paniyaram is made with jaggary and banana which adds natural sweetness. The added coconut bit adds crunch to the paniyaram and creates a wonderful texture. This paniyaram is crispy on the outside but is soft and fluffy on the inside.

Ingredients:
1 cup Raw Rice
5 Cardamom
1/8 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Jaggery
1/4 cup Water
2 tsp Ghee
1/4 cup coconut chips

It came out very nice! I also have cast iron paniyaram skillet but it stuck horribly to it. It's a new skillet. Guess it has to be used many times to season it properly though it is pre-seasoned. I gave up after one batch went wrong and used the non-stick one we usually use. It came out totally nice! The cast iron paniyaram skillet is difficult to use :( It smokes and heats too fast. Temp is hard to predict and maintain. The first batch burned badly.
