HERstory Spotlight | Navy Gunnery Officer

Susan Ahn Cuddy broke barriers for Asian American women in the U.S. Armed Forces. She was the first Asian American woman accepted into the Navy WAVES during World War II and the military’s first female gunnery officer, training naval pilots in air combat tactics during the war.
