    Hi Kenny it's been 5 days I started taking cabbage juice due to chronic gastritis but I can tell you that this cabbage juice has helped me alot,no any sign of bloating,no any waist pain

    Hello Kenny,
    Love what you're doing, thanks for everything !
    I have some specific questions for you if I may in order to better understand IBD for fighting it.
    1) Did you have some antibiotics when you were a kid ? Or were you born by caesarean section or other things that could have induce an IBD developement ?
    2) I heard after 2 years of no issues and proper supplmentation, microbiome is considered as "healed" and enough diverse, did you try (or think about trying) to stop all optimisation and just keep 80-20 diet to see if you're microbiome stays in resilient state ?
    3) What do you think about things said about lactose and gluten ? Got your point on raw milk but I'm more thinking of sterelized milk (for kefir or not) and gluten in general ? Do you consume them?

    Honestly, if my body is out of balance, fix diet and don’t drink coffee or tea or eat sugar. If it’s in balance and I’m relaxed in routine, drink coffee or tea if you want to! It does improve my brain function and genuinely makes me happy at times! For women, cycle syncing (as in menstruation) with coffee and sugar and overall diet/exercise is very important too. I also love breathe work and meditation!

      Yes! Just berries, very little sugar, and not too many ingredients. Keep cabbage the main. Should be fine, and it taste better too

    For Anxiety and wrestless thoughts etc its worth eliminating Wheat / Gluten and Caffeine from your diet. Eliminating these two will provide improvement

    It’s great to see you refer the mutual influence of the gut and brain on each other . I struggled for year swinging from believing only one was the solution and then the other over and over again until I learned that both affect each other.
    I used Headspace as mindfulness platform, I changed my attitude towards life and stress, while doing so I took huge inspiration from your gut microbiom approach. Only the combination of both put me on the balanced path I’m on today.
    I needed someone to believe that it’s possible to feel good regardless of conventional treatment.
    Thank you for that and for the sharing and awesome content.

    Coffee is a weakness for me too, but you have to be able to put an end to it. In fact, I even feel a sense of euphoria after drinking coffee, it's clearly addictive. The same goes for coca-cola or similar drinks and chocolate. I found a tea with these ingredients that works well against stress. Ingredients: chamomile flower, peppermint leaf, St. John's wort, sweet cicely leaf, valerian root. Note: In Estonia, St. John's wort is considered a substance similar to medicine, and this plant or any mix containing it can only be sold in pharmacies.

      I mean there are things good for you or considered good for you that some get addicted too like exercise so it’s not an instant indicator that it’s bad, though caffeine which is present in other stuff is definitely not good for stress. A lot seem to go back and forth on its effect on general gut health as there are polyphenols that feed good bacteria. Seems to be that it depends on your condition, if the coffee is organic so on. There are generally very healthy countries like Italy and France and many other places that consume a good amount of coffee consistently. But it’s definitely not good for stress or Candida and anything not organic with junk added is also not as good.
      Like many say chocolate is addictive. It has caffeine also but Bromaline is I think the main boosting substance there and though it’s bad for dogs I haven’t heard of it being damaging for humans. I haven’t heard that so far anyway. If you don’t have Candida or high stress it’s actually got an okay amount of potassium and magnesium.

    Hi Kenny. What you're saying makes sense to me. But I have a question though - During your soldiering on stage, did you also experience histamine intolerance symptoms like hives and rashes from the healthy foods and fermented foods you were eating? If so, did you just ignore it and keep eating your gut microbiome optimising meals until it stopped for good?

    Hi Kenny,
    What advise would you give to someone who has an extremely sensitive digestive system? Whenever I eat probiotics, fruits, or vegetables, I have IBS flare-ups. That even includes low FODMAP foods such as oatmeal, potatoes, yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, etc. if you could point me to one of your videos, that would be greatly appreciated.

      Try a carnivore diet for 60 days. No sugar ,no carbs , not even fruit. I've had severe colitis for 9 years. I've done to many diets to count with no success, even Kennys. I found it surprising He did a video on carnivore lately to heal then adding curtain foods back in, which I plan to try in the future. The carnivore diet has changed a lot of things for me after only 3 months. I've gone from going to the bathroom 30 times a day doing one meal a day to 3 to 5 times eating 3 meals a day. I've tried the probiotics, I've done the making my own kefir and fermented vegetables and all that got me was more pain and bathroom trips. I hope you try it and let me know how it goes or you find something to help you. Good luck.

    Kenny during your healing i know you didn’t use any medication prescribed by your doctor but did you ever take advil or ibuprofen for the pain while healing? A lot of my stress is around the fact that i’m constantly in pain but i don’t want to rely on medicine even over the counter if it will only mess up my gut health.

      I'm sorry you're in pain and that's causing so much stress. That is a tricky problem. NSAIDs (like advil or ibuprofen) are pretty well-known for their side effects of irritating the gut lining if taken too frequently. I saw this interesting article from UCLA Health a while back that seems to show that curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) was able to decrease pain and was about as effective as ibuprofen: www.uclahealth.org/news/ask-the-doctors-can-turmeric-reduce-inflammation#:~:text=The%20studies%20found%20that%20curcumin,in%20decreasing%20pain%20and%20stiffness.
      The article does say that GI side effects occurred more frequently with doses of curcumin higher than 1200 mg. So that's something to be aware of. If you're interested in trying this, I would talk to your doctor about the article and see what dose of curcumin might be an appropriate place to start to get the pain relieving effects but not high enough to cause the GI side effects.
      The pros of curcumin/turmeric are that they are natural compounds rather than medication and they don't have the harsh GI irritating/ulcerating side effects that NSAIDs can have.
      I use turmeric in my cooking and have supplemented with it periodically before as well. I'm a big fan! Still highly encourage/recommend discussing dietary/supplemental changes with your doctor before doing so just to err on the side of caution!

    Turmeric is good anti-inflammatory. my pelvic pain is gone for few days now after I started drinking my herbal drink but not the anxiety may be I need to optimize other parts of life through meditation and yoga and do mind balancing activities like FalunGong. But yes certain herbs are good at releasing pain.

      No IBD medicine since 2015, but have tried some medications to bring up my testosterone levels 2 times since then. 👊🏻
