This hurts. Like. A lot. I know this is only a meme, but i'm living a situation where this hits. i feel guilty for a friend's suicide, coz i didn't stayed at her house. My ex followed me just to be sure i go home, but if i wasn't there he would have stayed at my friend's house & she would be alive today. Now she's dead, and i can only feel like i'm to blame, because i came to her party at the last moment, i wasn't previewed, and if i never came my ex would have stayed longer and she would maybe be with us today. Yes it was out of my control, maybe, but i still cannot feel anything else than guilt for now. I feel like i'm the reason the "accident" happened

@@karnage7354You being there couldn't have made a difference, as harsh as that sounds. Depression is a beast. Sometimes, suicide feels like the only option. If she was drawn to the point of committing it, she must've been dealing with depression for quite a while. There's nothing you could've done differently, she likely would've just committed a day or 2 later. It may not feel like it, but it is not your fault, never was and never will be. 🫂

All I can think of is telling my younger self that I wasn't at fault for what happened when a 24 year old dated 11 year old me. I told someone and everyone found out about it. I still didn't understand the problem and went he yelled at me and left, I felt like I messed up. And I felt like that for 5+ years. I am 20 now but I really wish I could of reassured myself and saved myself years of pain and self-hatred over it.

Reminds me of my friend. He t-boned me one icy winter night. We were both ultimately okay. I had some severe injuries (several broken ribs, broken arm, broken leg, severe concussion), he had moderate injuries (a couple broken ribs and a mild concussion), but nothing life-altering, we can both still walk and stuff. I forgave him. It was a complete accident. It was icy and dark, there was nothing he or I could’ve done. I was just grateful we were both alive, but he never forgave himself. He still apologizes to me sometimes.

Aghhh I really wanna make a pmv to this I’ve got two characters that are brother and sister and due to discrimination they faced growing up and into adulthood (this is due to something their mother did but I won’t get into it) they both stuck together and remained really close, but they were both frustrated and wanted more so they worked hard to climb the ranks but that ended up being ripped away from the brother when he made a mistake and got violent with someone right before their leader, the brother ended up bitter and hungry for power and so he enacts a scheme to destroy the one thing protecting their society but ends up dying in the process, it would be about the sisters guilt as she struggles with his death and watched as the person closet to her went off the deep end (I left a lot of things vague sorry it’d be longer if I didn’t)
