When I purchased the house, I knew there were a few things that were done poorly but this house keeps giving me new reasons to make videos. This particular issue with the railing has been bugging me for some time. We don't use the front door often, but after I recently grabbed the railing and nearly fell, it quickly went up my priority list of things to fix.
At first I was only going to replace the railings and leave the banisters, but then I realized that the original banisters were too short as well by about an inch. They stayed in the slot, but would be on the edge of coming out. So I ended up cutting up some new banisters from the kit.
Getting the parts is easy... you could even order it here: amzn.to/3hh8Yp3 or pick it up at your local hardware store that carries Veranda products.
    Things you will need:
    A driver: amzn.to/32iulQp
OR a screw driver set: amzn.to/2E8J48P
    A miter saw: amzn.to/2CWdpqw
    OR a hacksaw: amzn.to/32fcD0d
    Tape measure: amzn.to/2Yqftyq
    A pointy marker: amzn.to/3hoff27
    A utility knife: amzn.to/2Yq7aT4

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! WOW! That was the most helpful video I have ever seen!!!
I learned how to open the package.
I learned how to take an unknown angled measurement and what angle to use when I take the measurement!
I learned how to do all this at incredible speeds. (I thought this was going to take me days to do).
And, in the end, I learned how to take a broken stair rail and rebuild it so it wobbles like a weeble. Thanks!!!!

It was helpful. Wish it had more detail though. Only because you seem to know what you are doing so I would like to hear more about how you do it. Still a thumbs up though. Thanks.

    That wouldn’t pass an inspection.

My 103-year-old grandma wobbles less than your railing.

It can move, it just should not fall apart like mine did at the beginning of the video.

@@rednerd I think the post was the issue why it moved so much at the end

      Why moves so much?
If you try to sell the house, it won't pass inspection. It feels like it will brake.
