I've been playing Dragon Quest XI lately, and though I'm not a huge fan of most of the soundtrack, I really enjoyed this nostalgic and heartbreaking piece, as well as the moments during which it plays. It's probably because this is actually an older piece, which I believe made its debut all the way back in Dragon Quest III for the SNES!
