Zig is a legend, no doubt. Dave Ramsey is a name which will be remembered long after he is gone. The creation of family legacies which began from his teachings. There’s so much more than the financial side, it’s about changing one’s entire life, and the lives of those around them. The man and his family are a blessing for this world.
Dave's videos like this one have given me so much strength and have helped me keep sane and inspired whenever I feel down or diverting from my goals/visions for my life as a single 42 year-old whose best days are yet to come. Dave has taught me so much, I am so grateful for his teachings, wisdom, insights, rants, everything. May he, his family and his team continue to be blessed in many ways! ❤️
You get to choose. I chose the path of no longer living paycheck to paycheck one day, and my life has never been the same since. The people that are winning in life chose that path.

I got debt free last year and now my goal this year is to lose weight. I have quite a bit to lose and know that it will more than likely take over a year but I am gazelle intense and am ready to start this journey.

I like this... Over the years I've set different goals many of which I have achieved, some were even achieved ahead of schedule. I don't agree with Dave on the credit card issue. I've been using them for over 20 years and I've paid interest on them less than a dozen times. It takes discipline, something many people lack. I have 3 different degrees, my wife a masters from a private out of state school and there are no college loans. We have one car payment and mortgages. Outside of that we have no debt.
A recent goal I set was to loose weight, I told my wife for our 10 anniversary I wanted to wear the suit I wore for our wedding, a few weeks ago I fit into it. I've got 10 months until our anniversary. Over the past few months I lost nearly 50 lbs. once I get down to my goal weight, I plan to work on my strength. In under a year and a half, my mortgage will be paid off before my 44th birthday. My second investment property will be paid for before I turn 50.
My next goal is to increase my passive income. I'm working towards a legacy fund for future generations. Here's to reaching my goals and setting some new ones.

So you have to start saving money from the age of 25 to 65 years old in order to enjoy those money, how much time do you still have left in order those money? Is there away to make money while we are still young but at the same time, we still able to spend money to enjoy life?
vsonic86 You can have both. You'll need money in your present (Emergency Fund, Savings Account, Checking Account) and YOU WILL GET OH-LLLLLD so YOU WILL NEED MONEY (401(K), IRA, Roth IRA, Savings Account (NOBODY ever made it illegal that you can have more than one)). Stop fretting. Unless you just want to look like something you're not in your youth, which is stupid because, if you're honest with yourself, you don't like none of the people you are trying to impress that much and 97.9% of them won't be there to help you enjoy your life in your old age anyway. Having money at any age is awesome, being broke at every age is dumb.
I don't remember what it was like to not have credit card debt.
PaleBear I just paied mine off and holy cow do I feel free. Paid it off and cut it up. Never again.

Visit your local library. They have a whole section on nonfiction. And they ask you to bring them back in two to three weeks. 😁📚💡

Most library's have a have a fund to purchase books recommend by patrons. Ask you librarian if you can suggest a book to be ordered.
Some libraries also borrow books from other local libraries & you can request the book to be borrowed for you.
Good luck finding good books to read. I volunteered at a library for a year, it was fascinating, the library does so much more than I knew. Talk to the librarians about all the different services they have & how you can get involved 😆
