Nice review.. great understanding. Even better ear! I've heard many people say sq doesn't exist.. or it's a "opinion".. I cannot understand how people don't know the difference.. I have drivers in my collection that are just absolutely clean sounding.. they aren't the loudest... But the bass is clear..
Love to see a SQ/SQL list from you.
I've always got better results and sq running four smaller subs in the same space one big one needs. More coil=better power handling and smaller subs sound better imo.

Just waiting to see a box made for a dc audio level 3 10inch , 12inch , 15inch and 18inch ( dc audio level 3 are 1000wrms )
I listen to ALOT of classic rock..
I was thinking of getting 8's instead of 10's or 12's..
reason being I assume with all things equal an 8 will hit quicker?
I just want something that has decent spl, good sq and can keep up with the fast kick drums in alot of rock songs..

How do you rate the DB drive g2-8s. Would it be a top 10 or is it a spl or Sq sub.
More moderate SPL, definitely not SQ. The G5 is a top tier contender
