Converting the time throws the resonance model out the window.

Great video. I look forward to more videos on this topic. I'm putting way to much forced effort into my swing at the wrong time.

I don't get how the resonant frequency applies to the golf swing. True, the club has a natural frequency, just like a pendulum - very slow. But that's not at all what's happening with a golf club during a real swing which is much, much faster. There's a much more complicated formula for that, taking into account the force vectors applied to the grip.
That said, the idea that, for pros, the downward force is roughly double the takeaway force is very interesting.

It's great for hitting the ball very short distances though. Apparently you don't lose many balls at all.

You mean it's all cause and effect? No kidding. And we need to swing the shaft? ... No kidding.

I feel like yea when you hit a box with a stick you look great but the prob with the golf swing is your aiming at something. There is a clubface to control and a swing direction which, in my mind why practice swings look so good, there are no consicuences.

The belly is the engine of the swing...The spring...
We don't hold (focus on) the engine, we hold the handle....
The focus of creating tempo and rhythm is in the handle.
The handle and body must be in correspondence....(resonance)
This comes to Radius, the handle has a consistent radius as he swings the club in two fingers....
As I write this I believe our wrists (effortlessly so as they will release in resonance) are maintaining the radius of the shaft in relation to the whole

...or you could just hit the ball with your club.

    • @myaccount3402
      @myaccount3402 Před 2 dny

@@samanthagames1023 you could, the club doesn't have nerves or inertia on its own...it takes the body to make it move...
So I try my best to recall what is happening different in my body on good vs bad when I move the club to hit the ball.
It is simple but complicated to repeat good outcomes

I wonder how many top golfers he measured to determine that he'd established a trend? If he was messing around with string I expect the answer to be zero. However if he chucked his string in the bin and just measured the speed and acceleration then used that to deduce the corresponding forces he could get all his answers from video clips. Perhaps he did this, I'm no genius but I can't imagine any system where you could accurately measure forces using bits of string whilst someone's trying to swing a golf club - neither can I imagine a scenario where the golfer wouldn't tell you to piss off.

These days I get the feeling of waiting more than ever, due to Martin Ayers, his force counter force idea, I call it bouncing off a forward press, but also Milo Lines feeling of the club lagging behind, it feels weird at first, but it works.
I can say without equivocation that I am better at golf now than I was. At least my club tab says so.
