So, after reaching the WR for Village, I turned my attention to Waterworld. So far I've been unable to get a record breaking score as the spawning for this map is far trickier than the others. Since I've taken a short break from RE4, I figured I might as well upload this run, which is my current best and if not for a couple errors, could have been a far better score.

Thanks, the number of failed attempts because of the dynamite ganado had me pulling my hair out. It is a fun map when things go well though

Love the RE4 gameplays you out out. Just a tip, if you upload more RE4 content your channel will shoot up. I noticed that almost all your RE4 vids get tons of views compared to your RE5 or other games. People just love seeing RE4, myself included. Keep it up bud

It's all relative. 96k on the hardest stage is well above the 60k requirement for the Handcannon.
The higher the scores get the bigger the gap at times though; so the guys who get 200k+ on this map far outshine me even if the points don't.
Got 100,000 on PS2. 55 kills in a row. It's on my gaming channel, if u wanna see it. lol
Sorry to disappoint but I truly thought that game play was uncomfortable and so what pointless. I at least did over 200K using Wesker. The only thing I liked about his game play was how he lured all the zombies into a group. Otherwise there were a lot more opportunities on how he could have increased his points,position,resources and make more of his time.

Each stage has a maximum number of enemies that can be spawned. In the case of this video, due to Waterworld's complex spawning, I failed to spawn several enemies.
The enemy counts are:
Village: 124
Castle: 348
Base: 117
Waterworld: 156

@@skullfaris9860 Castle is the only stage that all enemies cannot be killed on as there just isn't enough time. But I don't think Castle is any harder than the other stages.

Great! I was able to hit the 60k score in this map with Wesker, but I am not as confident as yours. I just noticed, you only dealt with one Super Salvador here. Is there a trick to avoid the 2nd one from spawning?
There is a glitch to avoid the 2nd one from spawning, which I explain in my 60k tips and tricks videos.
However, in this video I did kill both of them.

That's some good gameplay but, I've noticed you wasting your handgun ammo a few times throughout these videos, why is that? For more inventory space? If so then why don't you shoot it at the enemies instead?
I fire shots to attract the ganado to me so I can gather them for the bonus chests. Firing shots tends to aggro them into chasing you.

I have 3 questions
Why did you break your combo 2 times
What happened to the second super Dr Salvador
Why do you shoot to provoke enemies while aiming does the same thing
I break the combo so I can group up enemies for the bonus chests, as those are the key to high scores (check my scoring system guide for more info on that).
The second Super Salvador is sniped to death at the 2 minute mark. The first one was killed with grenades during the 1st chest.
I shoot to provoke enemies that might be out of my line of sight.
@@Sarcosuchas can't you just kill a few enemies while you are grouping them to keep your combo and have the bonus chest would waste less points if you kill less than like 5 enemies
Since in your method you would have to create another combo wasting more that 1000 points( idk the exact number)
While mine only wastes 500 or so
@@Kambyday You don't understand the combo system.
From the 10th kill onwards in a combo, you gain 700 bonus points for each ganado (effectively making it 1,000 per ganado as 300 + 700 = 1,000).
The bonus chest changes this value from 700 to 1,000, effectively making it 1,300 for each Ganado. The best bit about the chests is that it does this from the first ganado in the combo.
A 10 combo without a chest totals to 2,370 bonus points; so 3,000 + 2,370 = 5,370.
A 10 combo with a bonus chest totals to 13,000.
My gameplay focuses on cramming as many kills into the bonus chests as possible, so that takes priority and allows me to obtain more points than your method, not less.

When I was younger, I always thought the trick was, after unlocking wesker, was to utilize his crazy melle attacks, lol. I'm just curious why you dont use his magnum any more than you do?
Limited ammo for the magnum and its slower to kill enemies than the rifle.
@@Sarcosuchas that makes sense. Years ago, I would always use magnum to pick off the "boss" ones quick, but the rifle IS clearly much faster.
@@ryohio4706 Magnum is my panic button or I use it if I need an enemy to die slowly so I can manipulate the spawn better

And I believe you. The World Record for this stage (which I'm practicing towards) is 204,500 I believe. But 180k is still very impressive as this stage has the hardest spawn tricks.

@@devon7338 There's different World Records for each console/version of the game as there are slight differences. But yeah, I've been playing the game since it came out, managed to get a WR for Village, now I'm focusing on this stage and Base.

Idk if you do different kinds of runs but I did one where I wanted to just use the knife but you do have to use a gun at some parts, Salazar for example, so I did a run with the knife and the first handgun (upgrades allowed) on pro and my file corrupted in the middle of my fight with it:(
@@devon7338 I've done challenge runs before but never uploaded any. Knife only. No Merchant. Handgun only. Minimal kills. Speedruns etc.

My Scoring System Guide explains why.
The key to high scores is the bonus chests and the additional points they grant in their 30s duration; so its more important to break the combo and gather enemies and supplies for the bonus chest than to keep the combo going.
I realize this videos a year old at this point but can i ask why sometimes you just aim into nowhere and pop off a few shots at nothing?

Nice run man i have been trying to improve my score of 185k but for some reason after my 60 first kills in the secund chest only 12 ganados will spawn is there a way to get 16 kills with the granade
Yes, the issue is that Waterworld's spawns are the most complicated in the game.
You have to pay very careful attention to which ganado you kill and when. You can't just kill thoughtlessly.
I need to make a guide on it, because it's not easy to explain in text.
I recommend watching my 201k run and just try to copy the enemy kills as best you can in order to trigger then 17 ganado spawn for the 2nd chest.
@@Sarcosuchas thanks for responding man and as soon as i jump off the roof after the 60 kills the ganado with the rocket kills some other enemies i have been trying for months already with no luck ...
@@salvariveramajini Yeah, because you've killed them in the wrong order, thus making him spawn inside the building at the end of the 1st combo, instead of during the 2nd chest.

1, 10:36 ~ : you were too slow to go back to the 3rd floor after killing the guys from the 2nd floor spawning area 10 times, in the end you spawned the enemies 15 times instead of 14 which cancelled the spawning of all the 4 glitched guys in the final wave… You should've taken a shot at the red bandana archer earlier instead of after the first grenade(if you had more than 12 kills before reaching upstairs, it's possible to shoot him down before the grenade usage), if you needed to kill him after the grenade toss due to fast movements of the enemies it's better to shoot the red bandana chainball ganado for the 2nd time upstairs in place of from the middle of the stairs. (In this video I saw you eliminated the 10th ganado(left-handed archer) alongside one other guy as the 11th enemy of the 2nd floor spawning area (judging from the behaviour, maybe that was the stun baton ganado), it still works when you got none of the enemies of the group for that spawning area in the grenade explosion (you regress to the 2nd floor with kill 9, shoot the red bandana guy as the 10th enemy and exiting from there guarantees the spawning of other 4, that you need to rub out before going back to the 2nd floor again for spawning the 4 ganados one more time, alongside the 15th ganado.), but it's not too advisable to do it if you managed to kill more than one enemy of that group with a hand grenade.
2, 10:42 ~ : you missed to lead the RL ganado to commit suicide by his rocket, by standing on the second~third from the highest step of the stairs / the highest step of the stairs on the far left side you can make him shoot the rocket but miserably fail to deliver the attack thanks to the obstacles, if you go too far or stand on a step too close to downstairs he won't shoot the rocket or he doesn't die by the explosion.
3, 11:14 ~ : you missed to spawn the 14th ganado after kill 10 of the guys from the topfloor spawning area, instead you spawned up to the 13th ganado which caused the game to despawn one enemy. Also you were too quick to go back to the topfloor after killing the RL ganado and the red bandana archer, which also caused the game to get rid of two additional guys from the last wave. (19 - 3 = you only spawned 16 ganados)
The run went fairly good till the start of the last chest though, in summary : you lost 7 enemies in total.
= 15(12, after starting the last chest) 2nd floor guys and 16 3rd floor guys that gives you 37 enemies out of 44(9+28 enemies of 2nd/3rd floor spawning zone you encounter after starting the 3rd chest).
...you seem impressively well-versed.

I feel like there was a couple times you could have kept your streak going but you let it die out. Coulda got an even higher score
It's better to break the combo to gather enemies for the bonus chests. Doing so actually leads to higher scores than killing everything in a single combo

@@lilkxdude5659 the gameplay of re6 may be the best of the franchise, but is centered in melee combat instead of survior, as a result, is not even a good tps. Also in mercenaries mode, the best way to gather point is chaining counters in middle of comboes (which insta kill the enemies and rewards you with 7+ sec), which to me personaly, ends ruining the whole point of merceries mode (kill many enemies as you can within the time limit). But just imo, i guess we all enjoyed the game but with the bitter taste of "could be better"
