- This is my 1970 Chevelle SS 454 Pro Touring, Big Mutha Tumper cam from Comp cams, long tube headers, muncie 4-speed, 12-bolt posi, 4-wheel disc breaks drilled and slotted rotors, 18 in. Billet Specialty wheels, flowmaster mufflers, and lots of chrome.

I was playing street hockey with my friends when this car came up my street. A kid in high school had just bought it. The whine of that transmission caught my attention. 50 years later I remember it like it was yesterday.

I've seen lots of these cars and Chevelle SS has been one of my favourites for decades. This one, in a red I don't think I've seen before and a red I wouldn't pick for my self, is possibly the most beautiful Chevelle I've ever seen. And the sound of the hood closing is like a cherry on top.

very nice car. i see why alot of people don't like these mutha thumper cams...it just don't sound right. it's almost like its cross-firing and i know its not. i'm a rumpety rump kinda guy. lol

To those who think this cam does not sound big might be comparing it to a race car which this is not and is drove a lot in the summer time on the street, this is one of the biggest street cams Comp makes. Thanks to all of those who like the car and keep the comments coming!!
does that big mutha thumpr cam perform well? I know it sounds great but some people have said that it doesn't perform well

The wheels are Billet Specialties, the car is not for sale now but you never know. If we were to ever sell price would be 30K plus for those asking. I appreciate all of your comments and keep them coming hopfully will get some more videos soon.

how do this cam perform i was looking at the big mutha thumper in my 468 bbc using 781 heads 10.1 compression do it make reasonable power but over all good job
at one time we actually had the stock SS wheels on it, and it did look good, Thanks for the comments

While I'll ALWAYS prefer the stock SS wheels over anything else, they're too small to be useful in a pro-touring setup. With that said, very nice choice of wheels! The style fits the body and they're big enough to do what you need without being TOO big. Beautiful car! Sounds great too!!! Mine is bone stock, but it's an LS6, so modifying the car is out of the question. VERY nicely done Chevelle though!!!
The wheels are 18x9 in the rear and 18x7 or 18x8 in the front not sure on the Backspacing had a Friend order them.
