You know one of my favorite things about Voctave? They don’t utilize beatboxing or a “bass” in the way most of the current acapella groups because their arrangements are written by someone skilled enough to have the rhythms as well as the bass in the part-writing.
Totally agree with you on this one. I'm a musician and a composer and I'm dumb-strucked by how amazing and how much work and effort-spend Jamey did for each and every bit of those little pieces that together constitutes this whole beautiful song. This is TOP CLASS ARRANGEMENT with TOP CLASS PROFESSIONAL SINGERS! Hands down the best 'Joy to the world a ccappela' arrangent in the world.

As only they can do it combining a traditional Christmas song with a complex rendering of Handel. I am so spoiled that their harmonies are so tight, their innovative techniques (at 1:24) so surprisingly appropriate, and the joy on their faces fits the lyric. Everything they do is of such quality!!
That complexity is courtesy of Jamey Ray, who has got to be among the most brilliant (and under-recognised) arrangers at least on CZcams, if not in the world.
I love how there's such clear showcasing of the bass singers throughout this video! And those alto/soprano runs at 1:04 and 1:22 are absolutely delightful!
I'm so, so happy that Jamey Ray has the best voices on this planet to bring his genius to life.
There's only Soprano there sing that runs like a songbird!!!

Who in their right mind gave this 2 thumbs down? So beautiful and amazing. It is hard to believe that these are their real voices harmonizing as one collective sound. It is almost unreal how good they are, and that's not even taking into count the gorgeous arrangement. Superb absolutely superb!
I love how they present their song with that amazing talent but without any sign of showing off... Their gesture more like they tell the listener about the story of the song.. And I feel blessed!
