VTEC changes valve timing. Eurobeat changes driver timing.

Yes it changes valve timing but that's not what makes VTEC special. VTEC also adjusts valve lift which is what gives it the advantage over standard VVT

@@ericsson_motorsports actually vtec doesnt change valve timing only changes cam profile by hydraulic control, then there is ivtec in K-engines that changes also valve timing. Basically Vtec is two cam profiles in one camshaft 😉
@@morreracingteam6004 "VTEC" stands for "Variable Valve *Timing* & Lift Electronic Control". And i-VTEC stands for "*Intelligent* Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control".
VTEC and i-VTEC both change the timing.
However i-VTEC has way better control over it, while normal VTEC just has two profiles. The two profiles of the original VTEC have different timing, lift and duration.
But i-VTEC changes the timing variably whenever it wants to with the VTC gear

man, have I heard these songs before? yes, and they are such good memories to bring into my mind, low PS, just drifting enjoying that fluid motion while everyone was trying to brag they could drift 700+ PS, I was having fun moving fluid with 200 PS just enjoying what drifting is, I prefer low PS smooth motion rather than fighting some beast to keep stability. drifting is art.

My dream is actually living in those times, in Japan, so I could drift with them. Sure I could also own one of those cars now if I work for it but the way drifting is these days just isn't the same as back then. Those were the real times.

Yeah people are still drifting like that, if you want to see it you could add it to your bucket list. It's true that it's not nearly as popular anymore but the scene is still alive
If you have four wheels and an engine, you can drift exactly the same if not better than people did in the 90’s lol

Modify and Tune jdm cars properly and no exotic hypercar would be able to keep close to those tuned monsters.

Nowadays They try to relive the 90s, but it’s nowhere near the same vibe. It’s all about horsepower and car modifications. Back then, it was about having the pure spirit of fun and joy between man and machine with your buddy’s. Slightly tuned cars, low horsepower, and less flashy car customizations.
I have never before seen so many drifts in one place. In one clip they even drifted both ways of the street simultaneously! Utter madness. Amazing.
Also, many Shingo Points (tm) were earned during this video. But there were also some really great recoveries in there.

@@aaroncook54 That's a good mindset that a lot of new drifters don't have. They tend to buy the best angle kits and modify their engines to make the most power possible but it's best to learn how to walk before you can run!
@@ericsson_motorsports exactly. I want to get better with stock so I know I have a good foundation before getting Extended LCAS, however I am replacing all suspension components with ISR suspension kit. Inner and outer tie rods as well as sway bars for now. To have it solid

@@sssIX86 the uk was nothing like Ireland and will never be close to it in the car scene in general...we reinvented the twincam in the early 80s when the first production batch was sent to the uk and ireland and since then the uk has been trying to keep up
