As a former professional Table Tennis player, I must say never seen Ma Lin who was in his prime during 2004 and easily dominate Men's Table tennis back then, look so bad against any non-chinese table tennis player. Kreanga had Ma Lin literally against the ropes in the 2nd and Last set. However, Kreanga made a few mental errors during key situations. Ma Lin adapted to his play-style and found his weak spot and start exploiting it. Kreanga, Also failed to finishing to complete some easy points that didn't require a full strength shot. At the end, the strongest mental TT player will likely wins. Kudos to Kreanga's Amazing game play.Kudos to Ma Lin insane skill level.
Waldner beat Ma Lin 4-1 the same year.Anyway,Ma Lin has much superior short game thus he can push really heavy to the most awkward places. His short push is kinda like a serve in terms of deception and placement.
In the 2nd set, Ma Lin must have thought that he might lose the set but instead of letting it get the best of him, he continued with his shot selection and relied on Kreanga's errors. By the 4th set, Kreanga looked desperate to win the set because he realized he had the opportunities to get an insane lead over Ma Lin. That probably affected his game in the 5th set even though he looked good there. But I gotta admit, this was a really interesting match to watch.
I've never seen Ma Lin get attacked that much before. Kreanga really pushed him with his backhand and deserved more. Ma Lin's reaction right after the game winning point showed his relief...
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Wilder Cain thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Kreanga and Ma Lin actually have a very similar mindset, both don't know how to deal with a leading position and always give their opponent chance to come back. Kreanga kept dominant the first half of each set and then got reversed by Ma Lin, kind of reminds me the epic come back by Wang Liqin in 2007 WTTC MSF. Feel bad for him even though Ma Lin is my favorite.😢
Never saw Ma Lin make so many unforced errors. But Kreanga makes too many unforeseen errors himself. He had this match. He needs a touch game. He goes for the power game every time and makes mistakes.
Same, that was a lot of unforced errors... There are still many games where I see Ma Lin playing beautifully. Might be the worst game i've ever seen him play...
Ma Lin's service forced Kreanga to respond with very low push strokes, that caused him a lot of mistakes. Ma Lin backspin defensive shots caused Kreanga lot of problems.
That's not why he gave that reaction, he gave that reaction because in the last game he made several errors, and finished the last game despite losing.

A very entertaining match, and kreanga has the most powerful backhand in the history of table tennis.
Thanks for uploading.
Back insane
Kreanga deserved the win based on gameplay and technique but Ma Lin won due to mental fortitude.
kreanga backhand is simply awesome what a power to play with backhand :)

One of the most OUTSTANDING matches
Brutal backhand from kreanga.. It's tremendous.. Ma long like kreanga backhand bit currently
Never saw Ma Lin make so many unforced errors.

Yes, but when you're up against a supreme attacker like Ma Lin, you must attack at every opportunity. If not, you are allowing him to attack first.
one of my favourite players of all time!
Kalinikos Kreanga was an AMAZING player. Beat the shit out of Ma Lin (I know he didn't win, but...) - what a strong player. Wow!
4:39 that point sounded amazing..
6:40
Very entertaining and high-level game to watch.
Kreanga deserved to win
Please ITTF makes this table tennis come back to us
~ 11:32 What a time to whiff it.

That backhand to deuce the second set at 10 all. Hot damn! Something to aspire to.
Kreanga was the best greek table tennis player will ever be unlucky game there for him
Ma Lin's service forced Kreanga to respond with very low push strokes, that caused him a lot of mistakes. Ma Lin backspin defensive shots caused Kreanga lot of problems.
Ma Lin was 24 but he appearance 52
once he turns 72 he will look like 52
Ma Lin was 24 in 2004 (born 1980)!
@@Assassine8 Ok, thanks for the clarification
Killer back hand to Creanga 🇷🇴🏓👍!
Both played high risk aggressive game. Hence the errors. It's expected against 2 of the most unforgiving attackers of the game collide
wow so good demo of backhand
What a monster backhand!
Dang! That must have been a painful loss.
comments that after lose to Ma Lin, who will go to vomiting in bathroom
That backhand!
ma lin vs kalin ))
Kreanga had a tough time receiving serves.
Forehand short was always his weakness
That's not why he gave that reaction, he gave that reaction because in the last game he made several errors, and finished the last game despite losing.
great match
Holy fuck wat a match ❤️
forehand monster vs backhand monster
i have to say ma lin got pretty luck in the second game. Kreanga made too many mistakes and missed several easy shots.
well this is not an excuse but you are right ...
because it part of the game to make your opponent do the job for you by doing mistakes...
If not the last 2 mistakes, Kreanga would win.
Se... se... se...
Quanto mais Ma Lin treinava, mais ele tinha sorte.
Kreanga made mistake for the pressure to play against ma lin
The backhand I desire
How about zjk and fzd bh?
9-7 in second set, Kreanga service return was poor. A 2-0 lead would have been superb!
I m a kreanga fan but i must say ma lin is one the players with good serves
kreanga the best at this time
Karenga miss the best chance
Unlucky Kreanga.
question: who knows where the country grew up and learned to play Kreanga table tennis
Guess you mean Romania.
in tara ta unde te ai nascut
The Last of The Golden Age of European Table Tennis Players.
România😉
Kreanga set up for Lin too many times to smash, Kreanga won only %20 of those set up. Time out should have call by Kreanga’s coach.
Kreanga méritait la victoire... dommage.
fu too mate
Even though he won, this is one of the worst performance I have ever seen from Ma Lin.
Kreanga is better
