I agree, a talented actor and a wonderful person 👍👍👍
He was super badass as Forrest Bondurant
We need more real movies
Yes...just need movies that don't check off of a list...
Another amazing video Snarkyjay ❤❤😁😁.
Agreed
There has always been real movies. Most people made the choice to watch homogenized trash.
@@cesarayala7391 So true
Sorry, I had to turn off this review at 2:09 . I'm going to go see this. Stacked with talent, well written, directed and filmed. I'm in the mood for a really good movie. Thanks for the recommend Snarky. I'll come back here after I see the movie. I ride motorcycles. Not Harley's, just motorcycles. I know the culture. These times were some demented but definitely awesome times. Truly a different world. Finally, something I can see without a puke bag.
So how was it?
Yup, did you like it ? I went yesterday and absolutely loved the movie.... cried at times, laughed at others but loved it ending with that cute little smile on Austin's face 🏍🫶
I highly encourage to watch the film was great. I agree with her score of 8/10!
Hey SJ, if you haven't seen it. Take an afternoon and watch the movie, The Outsiders. It's roughly the same time (era) perhaps early to mid 50's. It has quite a bit of young actors. Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze, etc etc. If you liked BikerRiders, you'll like The Outsiders.
I read and watched that master piece in middle school.
Stay Gold Ponyboy! Too bad That was Then and This was Now was made in the modern time, and not connected to the Outsiders, still enjoy it and also enjoy the Fox tv series. For some reason when I think of that Fox tv series, i think of Smallville. Maybe it was the tornado episode. The series has a few familiar faces czcams.com/play/PLOfNM6q6NXC0A0Uep8AcA8WdTChZdrRmU.html&si=P1kyTf7T6GaTT2t8
The Outsiders was set in the early 60s.
I thought one of the characters in these clips was C. Thomas Howell, so interesting connection.
The "Brat Pack"
Went to a mystery movie showing and we got this movie. Gritty film. With your leather top, you look like one of the members of the Bikeriders.
It is so good to hear we finally get a movie with a great story line, and great actors. Always love and look forward to your reviews. Thanks Jay!
I really like men being men in an authentic story and I probably not see it but I might stream after this glowing recommendation. Thanks Jay! I love hearing your take on film. :)
Don't get too excited. I'm sure some of these reviews just lie for views
I didn't even know about this movie. Gonna give it a view since I'm tired of the DEI/ESG/SJ and you mention this one skips that crap. Thanks Jay
Wow, Jay; I can't honestly remember the last time you unabashedly enjoyed something! Andor, maybe? You're right that the marketing for The Bikeriders' marketing has been underwhelming. Thanks to your review, I'll consider seeing it.
Hi from the UK. We are very proud of Jodie Comer here. She has won all the big TV and stage awards going on both sides of the Atlantic. Also she hails from Liverpool, the city that gave the world the Fab Four.
And well you should be proud of her! Liverpool seems to be a city like no other in the world! And Jodie is turning the world of acting upside down just like The Beatles have done in the music industry ! She will dominate for years to come and will win multiple Academy Awards for her limitless acting abilities!! ❤❤❤❤😮😮😮
I'm an American and I don't care that Jodie Comer is from Liverpool. Her talent is like no other on this planet! Love Jodie!
They aren’t marketing it much if at all because it doesn’t have Hollywoods DEI bs shit in it. It’s a beautifully done period piece that actually represents the time it’s set in.
Jodie Comer is an incredible actress, but so many awesome stars. I'm down to give it a shot.
You won’t regret it, I was a bit skeptical because I work at a luxury cinema and the movie wasn’t filling half of our smallest showroom, but my dad rides and knows the culture so I took him to my job to see it tonight and was shocked at how well done this movie was and it peaked my curiosity about the history and culture of motorcycle gangs and what not. Truly masculine and badass without trying hard to be
We all need more of biker snarky jay!!! I would risk my life and join her gang!!
I enjoy this channel immensely. Your personality makes it so easy to watch. You are lovely. Thank you for doing this channel.
This channel is growing on me and snarky jay is really down to earth

This looks like it's gonna be a pretty good film...Thank you for your recommendation, Jay.
This looks like a real film instead of the Netflix style rubbish that the industry is pumping out on a daily basis
Because most modern films are "content"
Exactly
Can’t think of a good Netflix movie off the top of my head. Tires is a good new comedy series but I’m a big fan of shane Gillis
I didn't expect much from the trailer. But I was curious. This definitely changes my mind on it! Excited to see it now! Great review!
Thank goodness. Since seeing the trailer a few months ago i've wanted to see it. Edit: Happy Belated Birthday Momma Snark!!
I saw a trailer to this movie and I was intrigued. I was curious if this movie was going to be good. Now after this review I want to go see it.
I wasn't sure about seeing this one, but you may have changed my mind.
You nailed the sentiment I felt when I saw this movie. One of the more subtle depictions, but one that I could relate to the most was the scene when Kathy first got on the back of Benny's bike, and all the other bikes surrounded them riding down the highway. The look on her face. I know that feeling. It's the most incredible feeling in the world being on the back of that motorcycle.
SJ likes something. Wow that is new. This film kind of reminds me of the local biker gang that had their club house on our block growing up. The funny part is that they were actually good neighbors who didn't bother anyone(other than revving their bikes) and left people alone. Though they did apparently have an epic brawl with Army Airborne Commandos stationed close by in their bar hangout where 25 bikers defeated about 45 Army Commandos head to head. Now that was bad yaass.
Look at you approaching 90K subscribers. I remember when you were at under 20K. Keep it up
What I liked about this review is you gave reasons for liking the movie without spoiling any of the plot. You targeted specific, objective, things that will likely get a number of people to check it out. Unfortunately, I won't be one of them, as this isn't a movie that I would enjoy. But that's just me and what I enjoy. However, I will be passing a link to this to others who might be interested in seeing this. I very much enjoyed your review of this.
I just heard about this movie last night. Glad to hear you liked it. I'll have to check it out.
I’m am so hype for The Bikeriders it reminds me of a adult version of The Outsiders (if you haven’t that seen that movie I totally recommend it) and don’t even get me started with the cast with many of my favorites like Tom Hardy, Norman Reedus, Michael Shannon & Austin Butler all in one movie yeah I can’t wait to watch this one and glad you enjoyed it Jay.
Wow giving me nostalgic vibes with that reference - you may know this but the author of The Outsiders was only 14 years old when she wrote it and the movie follows the book pretty much down to a T. Stay gold friend!
@@noahmijo Thank you and same to you also I actually didn’t know that thanks for that interesting fact.
Uh no, its nothing like the outsiders. Its based on true story of the Outlaws
I've heard a few people say this movie is the closest thing we will get to a red dead movie. That it feels like the Van der Linde gang chemistry
Red dead should be a tv series not a movie.
But if that’s what they’re saying, then I’m in.
AH. That's enticing. Still pulling for a RDR2 movie, though.
Meanwhile its based on a true story........not a video game
@@jessespencer1019 no sh*t Sherlock. did Watson come up with that for you? No one said it was based after a video game 🤣🤣🤣 simply I heard a few reviews that said the relationship of the gang has a Van Der Linde vibe. But thanks for clarifying it's not based of a video game 😂😂😂😂
@@guyjperson me too, would love a movie that was a prequel to the games. show us how the gang was formed and what went down in Blackwater
when you respect the source material...
Judy comer was amazing. This is the type of movie i would purchase to have in my collection
She is also the main actor in KILLING EVE, she is absolutely stunning.
Her name is Jodie... not Judy. Lol it was said wrong the whole time in this review but she's amazing.
Anything Jeff Nichols makes (,writes&directs) is gold!!! Take shelter, midnight special, mud, all great films !!
All his films just feel so real. Just so uniquely countrified and rich with character in a rural sense.
@musicaleuphoria8699 absolutely perfect description!!!
Jodie Comer is a great actress. I haven’t seen a bad performance yet. And her accent work in Killing Eve (BBC) is unsurpassed!
This review of the Bikeriders is pretty spot on about how overdrawn biker movies/shows (Sons of Anarchy/Mayans) are, like outlaw bikers on film are superheroes with bikes when in reality they're just PEOPLE. I respect how you called the group a CLUB, not a gang because that's exactly what it was/how it started; as a club. The Vandals are based on the Chicago chapter of the infamous motorcycle club The Outlaws, and as someone who is close to AOA I'd like to thank you for this respectful review.
Glad someone else knows. Everyone else in comments keeps comparing it to the outsiders and video games
Another amazing review Snarkyjay ❤❤😁😁.
I’m 45 year old , former Marine , tattoos galore , so I absolutely loved this movie . They had me at Goodfellas on Motorcycles. I’m a big old school cars and bikes guy , and with that the music that comes with that scene. Tom Hardy reminded me so much , even the voice of Mike Ness , Social Distortion. Anyways , good to see good movies are not dead , not all woke and political driven .. kudos. Fist or Knives !
I'm watching it this evening! Thanks SJ for continuing to be honest with your reviews.
The Jodie Comer TV series, Killing Eve, was excellent. 4 seasons and 32 episodes. I recommend it to anybody. Comer is known for her ability to master multiple accents. She hails from Liverpool, England.
Now that is dressing for the occasion, with the black leather top and talking about the Bikeriders. I like how you are big enough to admit that you were pleasantly surprised after having preconceived notions about it. Snark on Snarky Jay.
Snarky Jay, your review offered a balanced overview that highlighted both the film’s strengths and weaknesses. It was succinct yet informative, also I can't stand "Sons of Anarchy" it's the only show where I was rooting for them all to fall off a cliff.
"I can't stand "Sons of Anarchy" it's the only show where I was rooting for them all to fall off a cliff."
Well...
Spoilers:
The show not only gets better the more seasons you watch, what you want to happen does infact happen.
They eat each other alive and most of the cast is dead by then end of the show.
Jodie Comer was PHENOMENAL in Killing Eve and I'm so happy to see her in another role worthy of her talent!!!
Cant believe I never even heard of this, thanks Jay!
Great review. Love the content, keep it coming.
I'm seeing that movie this weekend.
Thanks for reviewing this. I've been wanting to watch it since I first saw the ad (maybe a year ago). But I had no idea that it was out.
I was was interested immediately when I saw that Jeff Nichols was the Writer and Director of this film. After seeing "Take Shelter", "Midnight Special" and "Loving" and parts of "Mud" not all, to me Jeff is a fantastic film maker who is extremely diverse in the type of films he makes. I cannot wait to see this when it comes out for me next month. Just a little trivia with Jeff's movies is that Michael Shannon is in all four of his theatrical releases I just mentioned, a brilliant actor.
This is the only channel I wish was filmed in portrait mode rather than landscape.
Oh absolutely!
Happy Friday Eve Jay!!
I was really wondering about this movie! Ty for making a review ❤️
I am happy that you enjoyed the film! I'm going to see it tomorrow!
Grreat honest review, I kinda thought handsome Squidward was trying to hard but now I want to see it thanks!
I'm interested. I just hate theaters. Well, more like other people who go to theaters and do literally anything but watch the movie.
Wow! I had great expectations since the first trailer last year. Great to hear you loved it. Can't wait to see it!
Hey Surprise! A good story? Good acting? Doesn't look like a fan film? Yeah must be something Disney doesn't know anything about....lol
yes!!!! finally some quality content at the movies.
Jodie comer is a force !!!
Love this review and that you got it! It is such a beautiful and authentic portrayal of the culture rather than the over romanticized version of the bad boy life. My only complaint is your comments about Austin. His voice is the same now as it was before he played Elvis. Go listen to the book he narrated in 2018 called Carve the Mark. Because people compare his current voice to when he was 20 they find it different but you could hear his voice beginning to change in Shannara.
Ayyyyyyyye Biker-Jay is smokin'! Awesome review hun. Loved the insights and makes me excited to watch it. I was raised by bikers and have been riding since I was 13 so shows like SoA although entertaining for various reasons, kinda made me gag a bit at how they portrayed the lifestyle (and physically recoil at all the "super cool" bros that suddenly thought they were tough bikers and started wearing cuts after a couple episodes) so its good to know it seems like this movie was done well and portrays the early days of the MC lifestyle well.
I had a ticket to see this on Monday but wasn't able to make it. Sounds like I should make another attempt at watchin it.
Also ya killed it Jay on matching your outfit to the theme of the content (like ya always do) and look stunning. Hope ya enjoy your next movie as well as ya did this
Well first, I have grown up on and around bikes my whole life, so I love a great story just a bit more when it relates to a motorcycle. So thank you for making me aware of this movie. :) I appreciate the take on it and the heads up. Finally... nice vest/top. Obviously intentionally chosen for the video and subject matter and it's a great choice. Thank you for the video.
Thanks. I was debating if I wanted to watch this movie or not. Based on your review I'm going to give it a try.
Been waiting on this joint thanks for dropping it back on my radar
Encouraging review! Thank you! I'll have to check it out!
It’s nice to hear good reviews
so rare nowadays
Nice to have a positive review for something out there.
I'll check it out Jay. Awesome shirt(?) btw.
Great review. Nice to hear about something good.
I'm a huge admirer of Jeff Nichols as a director and a writer. I've enjoyed all of his films that I've seen. He's hugely overlooked. I'm looking forward to watching this on Monday.
great review!!!!!!!
I had the exact same preconceptions about this movie and totally blew it off, but just based on your review & recommendation, I’m gonna go see it. Thank you for this. 💋
I just came back from seeing this. So far one of my favorites of the year. Even if I wasn't a bike rider myself, I still would have seen it. I liked Jodie Comer. That accent 😆
That's quite the cast! Can't believe I haven't even heard a whisper about it. I'll have to check it out.
Thanks, Snarky. Definitely checking this flick out!
Finally, a good 🍿 it’s hard to tell these days because the bar has been set so low. Nice job SJ! Looking good!!
Nice to hear a positive review now and again. I quite like Tom Hardy. Jodie Comer does great work. I didn't see the Elvis movie but caught that dude in Heroes of the Air or whatever, and he seems okay. If it actually makes it up here to the Great White North, I'll give it a try.
Ok, glad to hear something good about a movie for once. Would you be willing to review the Meg ?
Interesting. It’s on my list now. Thanks.
I'm going to watch this movie just because, you recommend it🎉
Happy to hear you liked it one of the few movies I actually want to see in theaters this year.
Coincidentally, I just watched "Lenny" with Dustin Hoffman a couple nights ago. That movie is also had a documentary angle: Interviews with characters interspersed with scenes of story.
This feels like a legitimate sincere film review. I will definitely check this film out. Thanks Snarky Jay. 🙂
BIKERIDERS was phenomenal ! I was heavily tied to the Motorcycle culture years ago and can tell you that this story is based off of The Outlaws Motorcycle Club, the guy Sonny (Sonny Barger) in the movie I believe was the founder of the Hells Angels MC. Movie was legit ASF!
Nice job on the video. Makes me even more ready for this movie.
Holy moly your subs are increasing so fast ❤
Very nice review, gets me wanting to go see this flix 😁😁😁
Thanks Snarky Jay. Looks like I finally have a movie to look forward to go see.
Sweet review, definitely gonna check it out.
Jay, it's Jodie (not Judy) Comer.
(Proof that we're all human and make 'forgiveable mistakes.)
This actress is top notch and great with accents.
Loved her since discovering the 'Killing Eve' series.
I intended to go see 'The Bikeriders', but now will make it a 'certainty' after watching your review.
Which is why I continuously put in a graphic correcting myself, yet you felt it necessary to comment anyways.
A beautiful day with my fix of Snarky Jay 🤩❤️😘
May we ask what type of mic you use Miss Jay? Is that what they call a Lavalier? What brand? The More You Know TM.
I was on the fence about going to see this one but my favorite Latina celebrity likes it, so Ima go see it. Thanks for the review Jay; your good taste in movies and zero tolerance for BS never disappoints. Also the leather vest, "Ay caramba!" 😍
If you like Jodie Comier, you should see the series "Killing Eve". She and Sandra Oh are phenomenal in it.
So great to hear this and hope it does well in theaters 🙏🏻🎥🎬🍿
I saw the trailer about a month ago at the theater and thought it had a good cast, but was unsure about it. Your review convinces me to see it. Got to support well written movies, no matter the genre.
Nice, didn't have this on my radar, but that cast is amazing, so I will definitely go see this. Thanks Jay!
Wow! Will look forward to seeing this
I had zero interest in seeing this film but I agree with your take on movies and TV more often than I don't. So... I'll go see it now. Thank you.
Timed to binge watch Snarky Jay again. Cool outfit to go with the biker theme.
Pretty sure it's "Jodie Komer" not "Judy". Anyway check her out in a tv show called "killing eve" she is unbelievably good in it.
Not exactly sure what you're wearing but I love it lol
