"I'm going to be stuck here for a few days and that's exactly what I wanted" I felt that!
Fuck the city and the people littering
I feel you
Yeah, except this isn't real.
That's what she said.
I'm sorry I had to do it
@@fullonion2474 how is this not real?
No service, stranger named “bad news”, in a blizzard in the middle of nowhere, I’m African and nothing easily faces me, but bro is walking a fine line 😂🤨
This looks like a start of a horror movie. Truck problems results in being picked up by a guy named “bad news” and then invited to his property.
Thought the same thing
and no service
Yooo I was looking for a comment like this hahahah I even yell hold up Mav have you seen a horror movie
I would’ve been fine but no service is a bit too extreme
It's weird because if I ran into a guy calling himself Bad News I would... trust him more, for whatever reason. At least he's honest, you know?
10:45 not from the weight of the snow but actually the extreme temperature difference between the glass and the hot defrost air (cause expansion/contraction)- which is why the curve follows the vent. Next time just make sure your blower isn't on max speed for a more gradual temperature increase
Yep. Happened to me one morning blasting hot air on a cold windshield. At least it’s low and not in the way but one has to keep an eye on it so it doesn’t spread. If it starts a new crack, get the end of the crack drilled and fixed by a windshield company.
Usually if you start a vehicle you can have it on max on the windshield because the air gradually gets warmer and warmer but if you have it on heating the cab then switch to the window after it’s hot that’s usually how u crack it
Windshield crack was probably done by the defroster. Same thing happened in my Camaro. Defroster got good and hot and then I heard the windshield crack, all the way across.
yeah I've seen many old volvos with cracks like that in sweden
Mav I just wanted to say I understand how difficult it is for you to get those drone shots while driving solo. I appreciate the effort you put into making these videos man. Much love from North Carolina.
You hurt my brain when you didnt kick the snow off your shoes before you got in the truck.🤣
Thought I was the only one.
Dude named "bad news" invites you to stay in his secluded forest. Thats like the plot to a horror film 😅
Let’s play how many episodes can Mav have random strangers in his truck/led in to a secluded area before we never hear from him again.
Lol for real bro he's playin a dangerous game. "Oh your name is Bad News? Plz hop in and lead me to your secluded property😃👍"
Random my ass but whatever he wants to tell us...
HAHAHAHA
@@TwoAcresandaMule True didn't think of that
You should watch some of David Choe’s hitchhiking videos. He’s hitchhiked across America since he was a teenager and he is still alive. Hitch hiking is not as dangerous as you think.
The crack in your windshield could be caused by a small chip from a rock that ended up getting water in it from melting snow then froze at night. The freezing water expands in the tight space which causes it to fracture your windshield. Happened to me this winter and didn’t realize I had a chip until investigating the crack. You’ve been killin it lately on the ol CZcamss. Nice work Mav 💯
I thought that, then I heard his heat blasting. possibly the weight sitting and the shock of ice cold to hot 🧐🧐
Always a crappy go. But , not in the driver's view so no need to replace it 👍
Safelight
The windshield cracks happen from cranking the defrost on high once the engine is warmed up/hot air blows against the glass with snow and ice on the other side of it. To avoid in the future warm the windshield gradually if there's a big build up on the outside.... sorry this happened to you young-un. I enjoy seeing a young man who likes the outdoors like you do !
Ohh this explains why it happened to my truck lol, thank you for the info
"My new buddy bad news, he helped me get my truck back in line and he showed me this beautiful place". Best part of this video. You sometimes find the most kind people ever traveling.
11:43 You can also put a pinch of salt while boiling eggs. This helps to remove the shell easily.
Chicks would tear this dude apart but hes out there making dying moose noises in the bed of his truck🤣🤣
Dude cracks me up😁😁
The only chicks that will get a chance is the ones who are brave enough.
That elk call was pretty impressive lol
It was kinda perfect
Really good
I'm thinking...that's what an elk sounds like!
It startled my dog
Mav you’re such an old soul. Still have small talk with stranger, pick up hitchhikers and hang out with random people you meet in the road.

Oh, man. Thank you so much, Maverick, for that little footage of Golden at 0:32. Good old Ford St. still look as bueatiful as ever. I did my 4 years of engineering in CSM and Golden is just like a second home to me. I feel like a part of my heart still lives there, to this day, 7,600 miles away! I wish to visit once again. Thank you for this entire trip through CO. Brings back so many good memories.
I got COVID back during Christmas time and I just binged your whole channel when I was just stuck at home and couldn’t work. I turned into a big fan of yours and happy to see your channel grow so much since when I first subscribed. Keep it up man
Hope you’re feeling better, dude
Leo I found him too when I had Covid! I’m addicted now hahaha
Oddly enough i have Covid now and just binge watching videos. Came across your videos very randomly but not disappointed

This is too crazy. I visited Colorado for the first time in my life back in March of 2020 during this exact same blizzard. I'm from North Carolina so while we experience snow its nowhere near the level of what this storm was! And I kid you not my best friend who I was visiting at the time lives in Littleton, CO but actually drove me through Golden, CO to show the Coors factory as well as the mining school and also took me up to the top of Lookout Mountain where Buffalo Bill is buried! I could not have asked for better weather conditions because it was like something out of Winter Wonderland! Crazy to think you were up there at the exact same time! Small world! I just discovered this channel so glad to subscribe and enjoy your videos. I wish I could try experiencing living like that if only for a few weeks. The feeling of freedom you must feel on these trips is amazing
How does it feel to be able to sit up straight in the back mav? 😂😁
Crack is from the cold snow, with your hot heat blowing on it.. then the ice builds up. Gotta clear that mav..
The new camper was a great choice sure lot more room to sit up, you found a awesome place to camp , thanks for sharing your trip, stay safe my friend! 👍✌️
I binge watched all your videos the first time I found your channel but working my way back through another time is just as rewarding. Thanks for being such a good dude and bringing us on so many adventures.
That noise is probably your wheel hub actuator, and please put some new wipers on that damn thing. 👍🏻
The crack is from your defrost! When putting your heat on in cold weather turn the dial to the cabin not the windshield! Same thing happened to me!
Wow that's a lot of snow, do love snow. Can't complain about snow when its so beautiful
Truck driver here…I just picked up from the Coor’s plant and hanging out in Gypsum as the i70 is shut down atm…first time in Colorado and it’s beautiful!!!!
Just starting the video but it already starts interesting. Alone in a forest with no cell phone coverage and a guy called "bad news" pointing you into the direction :) Yeah ok i watch to many movies. I know :)
Yaaaaaaaaa
Mav I love your look. Your parents raised you right good parenting is so obvious. You are a squared away righteous young lad.
Golden? The Mountains? That's boring! You should have done some truck camping along Colfax Avenue, now that would have been an adventure! 😂 great video Mav!
The mountains are serene and so much fun! Loved hiking all over Colorado!! We dont need him getting an std or mugged lol

The cracked windshields are my favorite part of living in Colorado. Happens every winter, except for the one year I bought a bullet proof windshield for my truck. But then it cracked 2 winters later.

I can't believe I'm just now seeing you were in Colorado! Born and raised in Colorado, a beautiful state and this storm was wild but so beautiful! Would have loved to have spent it out camping in the woods but being stuck at home was definitely okay too! Hope you had a good time out here!
i have never binged a youtuber more than i have w you. 🤣 i think i’m a little bit in love 🥴😅
This video reminds me of REO Speedwagon's song "Riding The Storm Out", and it's a classic! It's about riding out a snowstorm in the Rocky Mountain winter, and that's exactly what Mav did here.
That was the most professional elk call I've ever heard.
He sounded like a baby alligator

Mav, always the king of sounds!
I lived in Golden & Blackhawk back in 1979/80 - loved it. I remember the days when you couldn't get Coors east of the Mississippi! Loving your adventures & the drone shots are phenomenal!
Bro, you skipped the best part!! How’d you get out of that snow?
He said at the very end he’ll be there for a few days
He didn't lmao
Easiest option to get out of snow is to scatter human poo under the wheels first
@@maisie9867 he did ! Lmmfao ! 😆

I love these winter videos and you have inspired and well as informed me on a handful of things that have proven useful to getting by in the cold. We live out in the sticks of Nebraska and when it torrentially snows the power lines get covered and we loose power for anywhere between 12-72hrs. Thanks Maverick and please keep being you brother!
Nothing makes a day better than being early to a Mav video 🙏
facts
True
What probably cracked the windshield is hot air meeting a cold windshield. When they crack on the bottom and you don't see rock chips its a stress crack for hot and cold! I have lost a few windshields over the years from this in Canada!
New subscriber here. Hi from Scotland.🏴🤗. This is exactly the kind of thing I would absolutely love to do myself at some point so I've been binge watching your video's and I've learnt so much already. Thoroughly enjoying your content..
Hello my friend, I'm starting to follow your videos here in Brazil. I'm in Natal / RN. Today it is 4/3/2021 and we have a temperature of 28°C equivalent to 82.4 °F. Hug from Brazil.
Hey Mav, i just found your channel a couple weeks ago and I love the content. It’s awesome getting cozy and enjoying the experience with you. May I suggest a overnight video in the rain? Might make for an interesting video.
Having a ton of snow on your windshield then blasting the heat can crack your glass. Especially if there was already a small stone chip in it
Exactly, have made that mistake myself one too many times
Not sure if I’m just weird, but if there is a shell and I get a “crunch” eating hard boiled eggs, I’m done 😂
I'm like that with eggs if i eat a shell i'm done with the eggs
that's called seasoning bud
@@maisie9867 texture variety
I love crunchy things. Crisps (chips) ect. But when eggs crunch that's just wrong and disgusting.
Yep I start gagging.
I loved all that snow, beautiful. They keep telling us we’re going to get it here in Pennsylvania, in my area, but we just seem to ge a little and it rains afterwards and it’s gone. Lucky you…..
IT looks like you were going up the road out of Golden Gate Canyon. I've driven it hundreds of times in the sun, rain, snow, and dark for work.
Also, it's cool that a random stranger not only stopped and helped you with your truck problems, but even let you stay on his property in what looks like the nicest camping spot you could find in the area...at least near a road. Talk about turning lemons into lemonade. You're a good guy, and so is that Bad News fella, for being cool and helpful to strangers.
horror movie plot
Mav, I love how you feast on goodies and cook great meals.
These videos are super relaxing, I need to get back out camping. Also, thanks for the carbon alarm beeps, my dog is now on def con red lol
Of all the land, you are sincerely the silliest goose of all geese
That was a great blizzard, we got 2 feet at my place. No school for 3 days.
I only got 6 inches at my place.
Sudden temp change can crack anything.. Ur heater blowing on extremely cold glass would hv done it
This channel is growing like 6000 subs a day
I was stuck in this storm with my brother in a 2wd C10 at night. Fun times.
Heat and cold could of caused the crack on the windshield even the heater vs outside temp
Exactly what I came to say. Never crank the heater to max with snow on top the windshield.
Thanks for visiting Colorado my home state. It is true the weather casters never get it right.
Nothing better than being stuck in the snow then getting picked up by “BadNews” .
Hey Mav. I've been watching you for several months now. Your travels, Ice fishing, camping and cooking and more...... your one of my favorites. I got a hoot out of your Wi-Fi night at Denver U. Packed a skateboard, you know...just in case.
That was just so randomly funny because I happened to watch your 4 year old bass boat replacement motor -30 camping video when you mentioned several times you were an overpacker and hoped to change...then I saw this.

dude arizona is camping paradise. alot of people camp in the national forests especially near flagstaff. alot of arizona is forest at high elevations, doesnt get too hot in the summer and snows lightly in winter, the other part is desert where the temperature is nice during winter.
a huge amount of arizona is national forests, the rule is you can stay in one forest for 14 days per 30 day period, then you can move to the next forest. there are atleast 4 national forests in az with nice drivable forest roads everywhere. in some areas you can literally just take 1 step or drive 1 foot and you will be in the next national forest because they share borders.
there are maps and rules on the u.s. forest service website. the main bureau of land management arcgis map is really good too.
Mav I can’t stop staring at your ocean eyes☺️

3. Don't open the windows until or unless is really necessary....

I never got the obsession millenials have with Colorado. I've been to Denver & Golden, I'd say the views are underwhelming compared to further west (Utah, OR, Wash). It's cold as Antartica for 6 months, snows huge amounts, the people are notoriously rude, everything is overpriced. 🤔 A real headscratcher.
Pretty much the whole west looks amazing, I’ve been to Colorado Utah Nevada Arizona New Mexico California and they all have amazing and unique views, I don’t know where you got millennials from nor do I know why you think colorados views are underwhelming, but in my opinion Colorado is beautiful especially up in the Rockies, the USA in general is just beautiful, you should check out pikes peak or the gorge bridge in Colorado, super cool
@@blainew79 underwhelming *compared to further west*, not underwhelming in general.
@@nicholassears6301 I got what you meant, I still don’t know why you think the views are underwhelming though lol
@@blainew79 well the rockies are just big rocks, there are some lush parts but it's a whole different world in the pacific northwest of Oregon and Washington. I did an externship in Portland, OR back in 2015. The city of Portland was pretty dumpy but the surrounding area is incredible. Trees impossibly tall and vibrantly green. You're really in the forest. I've been to 35/50 and I'd comfortably say Oregon is the most scenic with Washington close behind. I'm more annoyed by Colorado's brutal winters than anything. Colorado looks great compared to Minnesota or Georgia or something. The further west you drive, the prettier the country gets imo.
@@nicholassears6301 wow that’s cool I would like to travel to Oregon or Washington, I’ve been to Washington once but not to see anything scenic just to visit a great aunt of mine, but I see what your saying, overall America is beautiful from the Everglades to the Grand Canyon 🙂
