  • SI3D has been specifically designed for people with amblyopia and/or strabismus.
    SI3D's OcuView lens is designed for these exercises and general Vision Therapy. OcuView is much more effective at promoting 3D vision than full oclussion. If you do not have OcuView, use your hand or patch to cover your dominant eye.
    Sit directly in front of the laptop or PC monitor (bigger screen is best for training).
    Ensure you sit comfortably. Sit about an arms length away with your head central to the screen or monitor. Do NOT move your head unless instructed to do so - EYES ONLY.
    If you suffer with amblyopia in both eyes do exercises for left and right eye equally.
    DO NOT STARE FOR PROLONGED PERIODS AS THIS WILL STRAIN YOUR EYES! Blink often, blink often, blink often! Blinking does 3 important things:- 1/ It lubricates the eyes 2/ it minimizes strain and 3/ forces your eyes to refocus on the target.
    You must exercise between 30-60 minutes daily (15-30 morning/ 15-30 evening). It is best to train as soon as you can after waking, and just before you go to bed. If you train more, ensure you rest your eyes every 30 minutes for at least 15 minutes.
    Exercising daily must become habit. Your eyes and brain will only 'learn' if they are continually stimulated with exercise. You will get out what you put in.
    You must be under the guidance and supervision of a registered VT (Vision Therapist) before carrying out any training or oclussion.
    I am not a professional. I am simply someone who suffers with Amblyopia and Strabismus, and I developed these tools and exercises to help people like me.

    Update: I received a comment (since deleted by the user) stating they could not read the instructions/disclaimer despite having a large screen, and that the text was blurred.
    Videos will auto default to a lower resolution depending on your device and internet speed. All videos should play in 720p or in full HD.
    I have now added the instructions and disclaimer to the video description.

    I am 33 years old and suffer from amplobia and strabismus, would these excersise help me get rid of strabismus, how ever I made a surgery but strabismus back again after surgery . And how long should I practice it ?

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Peter, I would inevitably be a little bias as my channel gains monetary reward from telling people it DOES work. But I recommend you search for Professor Susan Barry: Fixing My Gaze (also know as 'stereo sue').
      This should give you confidence in knowing that even after the 'critical period' aged 7-9, and despite having strabismus surgery, Professor Barry gained 3D binocular vision at the age of 50.
      Hope this helps.

      I advise everyone to be under the guidance of a Vision Therapist Peter, but if you choose to carry out exercise without then it is at your own risk.
      The 'lazy left eye' exercises are designed for the left eye being the lazy one, but you can use left or right eye exercises- just occlude your dominant eye.

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  Před 2 lety +1

      If you exercise for between 15-30 mins in the morning and then again in the evening, you should notice a change in your vision within a few weeks, assuming you have been prescribed an exercise schedule to be carried out at home.
      Vision Therapy can help most people with lazy eye and strabismus, but not everyone is a candidate.

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  Před 3 lety +1

      You are fine to ask as many questions as you like - I'll do my best to answer.
      Patching for 6-7 hours a day is not something I would advise personally, but I'm not an expert in this area.
      Patching builds strength in the extraoccular muscles around the eye and forces the weaker eye to work harder. But in my opinion and experience, it does not promote the use of both eyes together- 3D vision.
      The research I have seen only advised 4 hours of patching maximum. The reason for this is because you risk double vision. If you are going to patch for a long period, just have a break every 45mins for 15mins.
      Keep subbed to the channel for when the OcuView is available. It should be within the next few months. It is much better than patching.

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  Před 5 měsíci

      As you have commented on a 'left eye' video, I assume it is your left that is lazy. If you are carrying out the exercises correctly, there should only be one image available to you in your visual cortex, and that is from your lazy eye - the other should be covered but not closed. Hope this helps.

      @@seein3d456 i do it with Red Green Glasses is that bad?

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  Před 5 měsíci +1

      No, it is not bad per se but the exercises were not designed for that specific purpose. Some people do wear red/green glasses as it offers the brain 2 easily discernible images - as one is red and the other is green.
      The objective is to occlude the stronger eye so that the weaker eye is forced to work harder.

      Hi Aziz Patel, I'm in my mid forties. It has taken me near 2 years to obtain the level of vision that I am at - it could have been sooner but this is why I advise doing it everyday without fail.
      No, it is your lazy eye that you must exercise, and you must occlude the dominant eye.
      You start by doing a few minutes at a time (to avoid strain) both in the morning and again in the evening.
      I have created a plethora of videos for you to do in ANY order you like - there is no requirement to do them in numerical order - simply choose any video (left eye for you), sit at a confortable distance from your screen, but where you can still see it clearly and concentrate on using your lazy eye. If headaches occur, simply stop exercising until you are able to continue.
      You do not need guidance, but it is completely at your own risk - some people can make their condition worse if they are unable to gain binocular vision due to their specific condition, but this is rare.
      I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask and I will do my best to answer.

      Hi, all you need to do is exercise for 15-30mins every morning and evening. The numerical value of the videos is just for reference, so you know which one(s) you have used to exercise each day.
      I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
