As a big fan of the yojimbo, the yojumbo is a no brainer to me. Will get one whenever I can.
They are specific, purposeful knives- particularly Janich''s MBC. But everybody buys the coolest looking knives, tactical especially because somehow that will make them more deadly with a knife. It would be nice if it worked that way, but it doesn't. But here is what nobody talks about when reviewing these- Janich has a distance learning program. Just look up Martial Blade Concepts. Better to spend a few bucks on actual knowledge and be armed with a 2.5" blade than have a super nice Yojumbo with zero training.
Good video! I was wondering which one to get but no one has a comparison video between the two
Do you know which one you want now?
Right !!! Glad you did kev . Tried the xl again and still a pass but it made me think of geting the cf s90 or newer cf 20cv of the current one. Now we gotta find someone with the old original yojimbo I think it was blue g10 but I'm not sure
Yeah I think your right I seem to recall blue as well
9:30 choke down one finger grove on the YoJumbo grip, so your middle and ring fingers share a scallop. I just picked up a yojumbo to go with my yojimbo2, the distance between the choil and the first finger hump on the jumbo is actually shorter than the yojimbo... pretty sure it was intended to be choked down on as it angles the blade tip out, and the backstrap hump and compression lock location agrees with me.
My brother dropped the yojimbo 2 I gave him and bent the tip of the blade. I ended up breaking it off trying to straighten it. Had to use a diamond file and reprofile the tip. Om actually pretty impressed with how I got it! Great knife. The yojumbos g10 looks to aggressive for my pants lol
Looks ugly ...fu....
