I promised myself I'd come back to this video whether I got the job or not. This was the last video I watched before I went to sleep the day before my assessment centre. I was so nervous and watched a lot of videos but nothing could calm me down. When I watched this, I immediately felt like everything would be ok. Three days later I was invited to the final interview and yesterday I finally signed the offer. Thank you so much!
I know im randomly asking but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@@crosbymalcolm7305 Why do I see this question everywhere I go?
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I FOLLOWED YOUR TIPS AND PASSED THE ASSESSMENT CENTRE AND GOT THE JOB 😭😭😭 I HAVE BEEN JOBLESS FOR MORE THAN ONE YEAR. I’M GLAD I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO BEFORE THE ASSESSMENT CENTRE 😭😭😭😭
Were you unsuccessful in the grad schemes while in third year then did them again after graduating then succeeded then? I’m currently in that position 😭 I’ve lost hope on grad schemes tbh 😩 congrats on landing the job btw!
@@DonFriend497 I used to be really poor at applying for grad jobs but I got a bit of work experience and am applying for grad jobs 6 years later, and now I have an understanding of what employers want and the tests seem much easier to me, I have a few ACs lined up. Don't give up. Look on youtube, career vidz has good info on interview techniques, practice free numerical reasoning. Go through your CV and think about what youve done for answers to competency based questions (doing more jobs even the lowest paid jobs will give you competency examples). Look on YT for strength based answers and walk throughs on situational judgement tests. Look for information on logic tests and video interviews then keep practicing. Make sure that you can say why you want the job and study each company like you would for a test. It sound like a lot but we have time
You're already doing the right thing by watching this video. Good luck
How did you get materials for the verbal and Numerical tests.
@@DonFriend497 Yes flunked scheme applications in my 3rd year. Then got a bog standard job for a few years, reapplied without much effort and started passing schemes so then I started putting the effort in and will start my scheme later on in the year. I think that having life and work experience somehow helps. Maybe because you get a better idea as to what employers are looking for. Honestly spend the summer working whatever job you can find and every week spend an hour practicing your situational judgement tests, numerical reasoning tests (practice being fast using calculator functions), verbal reasoning, understanding competencies, video interviews and apply to as many schemes as you can, from October. There are lots of free tests online. Prospects.ac.uk, milkround, nhs and government are great places to look.
Alternatively there are lots of kickstart schemes this year. You should apply for these as ive seen some amazing opportunities to get into great industries. It will be valuable even if you ultimately leave to change industries or get on a graduate scheme.
@@geekafreak hey how many years after graduation is too late to apply for grad schemes? This is my first year applying but i heard some schemes dont allow you to apply 2 years after graduation
I was so bad at assessment centres and never got the job. I'm now an experienced hire and working for the big companies I never thought I'd work for. So for those who never got the grad jobs, dont lose hope!
How did u get ur job instead? Any advice...?

Watched this a day before my assessment centre, and I GOT THE JOB! Thank you so so much for this. It was my first assesment centre and I knew everything I had to do because of this video only. I cant thank you enough! God bless❤️
I AM SO FUCKING HAPPY I FOUND THIS CHANNEL !!! honestly, for someone who has just finished university and is looking for advice and tips, she gives amazing advice! I hope you keep the videos coming and stay consistent, I got my notifications on. You go girl I am rooting for you sis !!!
“Fake it till you make it”😂😂😂 I just love it. I am very confident but when it comes to job interviews I am extremely shy.
I have an assessment centre soon and this is hands down the best video I've seen on CZcams about ACs. Very practical approach and very nice of you to allow people learn from your experiences. Can't wait!
Thank you so, so much for this video!! I followed your advice about faking confidence until I felt confident and stuff and I got the job!!! I've been unemployed for years, I can't believe I finally have a job. :) Near the end, the guy was going around and pulling people out and then they'd come back and get their stuff and leave and I so fucking expected him to tap me on the shoulder omg, I was so shocked when he went back to the front and told the rest of us that we'd been successful. I'm so happy. This video helped a ton honestly. :)
Congratulations! That's so great and I'm so happy for you :)
There was no need to swear on this.
Thank you so much girl , you shine , I’m so glad I listened to this . Extremely helpful
Just what I needed to hear before the assessment centre, thank you so much

Thank you for the video! I just finished an AC and you summarized all my thoughts beautifully in the video :)
People can be quite nasty at assessment centres, especially in group exercises. It's dog eat dog there and people will constantly talk over you just to get one up on everyone. If you stay quiet, yes you will fail, that's why it's best to take a lead in these sort of exercises.
I've only done one assessment centre in my life and I failed that as well, but I'm on a PhD programme now so I will live in a university for the rest of my life, haha.
TheMightyHarihar That's what puts me off from applying to graduate schemes but it's still good to learn about them.
I do still recommend you apply to graduate schemes, you may get lucky. Usually graduate schemes last for 2-3 years and they put you on rotation, so you work in all the departments of your field. It's a good sort of paid work experience.
If you end up going down the PhD route, your age can quickly catch up to you and you may feel stupid applying for a grad scheme at 26/27. That's why a lot of PhD's do stay in academia, rather than go into the corporate world. Though there are places that hire PhD's, but you need to show work experience as well.
TheMightyHarihar how to take the lead cod u shed some light on it plz ?thx
ann malik In my experience people were very polite but you could also tell they were focusing on taking charge. Just be confident, it is nothing to worry about. I'm quite sociable so I made friends pretty easily with my group. Don't be cock or arrogant but definitely put ideas forward and communicate clearly. The interviews are a walk in the park, the main key is confidence. You can be as nervous as you like on the inside (I was and it's extremely natural) but they need to know you can work well in a team as well as individually. Hope this helps
+Ben Sharp do you have any interview tips for me mate
Thank you so much, you are so kind and generous for sharing your experience. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you! I have my first assessment day for a dream graduate job so this helps!

Your videos are always so interesting and helpful, love them! Also looking forward for the story times

This will be helpful to me if I go to an assessment centre. To be honest I really hate them but I'm glad you got a job through one.
Ah I agree, they are pretty stressful/nerve-wracking tbf! good luck if/when you go to one!!
Thank you!
This was so helpful. Thank you. I have an Assessment Centre in less than a week.

Okey Dokey Lokey congratulations!! how did it go/what were you asked to do?
how was it like? what did u have to do?
thanks!for all learn me very very much to EPSO!!
I just came across your video. Thank you so much for your advice regarding group exercises. I have an assessment centre day in a few days. As I understand it it’s going to be just a few people but it may also have more candidates coming from different agencies so im trying to figure out how a group exercise would even run if it ends up just being the two of us? That could be a little intense. I suppose it’s the same as there being half a dozen people though? My thing is if someone does instantly take over I tend to just shrink back and let them and I lose my voice . Just wondered if you had any advice there ?
hi, do you have any tips for the numerical SHL tests they are so difficult!
Really good points and great advice. In one assessment I spoke too soon and in trying to show initiative and a functioning brain I took charge and suggested the most ideas but also listened to everyone and asked others for suggestions. However the damage was done and it was my downfall. Listen to others first and speak up after. If everyone is silent then calmly suggest an idea. The thing is also that I was overqualified for the job. Not to sound arrogant but sometimes u can't fake wanting a job unless ur a really good actor and know exactly what they're looking for.
Either way what happened was great for me because now I have a much better opportunity and closer to home. I hope this time I nail it. Stay confident but respectful, proactive but friendly, organised and focused and you'll be absolutely fine. Wish me luck.
Thank you, I have just received my feedback from my disastrous first assessment centre and all your advice will help me so much for the next one.
Hey if you’re still active on YT why do you think it was disastrous?
Thank you very much for tips!
I have a assessment centre on Thursday.. this was helpful ... good work 👍🏼
I hate it when the the hiring managers make you do discussions when they say that your a survivor of a plane crash or a shipwreck and you and your team needs to decide what to take with you to survive.... And this job involves working for a mortgage and financial company so what does plane crashes and shipwrecks got to do with mortgages and insurance?
Decision-making, communicating with others, prioritising, creativity... list goes on mate
thank you so much for the tips and links, i'm really worried about grabbing a place so i really appreicate this
How long did you get a response email from Accenture after the assessment centre?
Thank you so much for the amazing tips😊 My interview for the call centre job didn't go well last week but after watching this video it gives me the confidence to keep applying and always prepared for assessment like what you've done.
Thank you so much for your tips xx
For the numerical/verbal tests, did you know before hand that those would be included in the assessment day? Had they informed you of the exact format of the day or jsut general information?
Is this the same as *IN-HOUSE ASSESSMENT* because i have one tomorrow and I don't have any idea what would I be doing there ;;;;
Thank you for your advice
I have one in a weeks time, honestly so nervous but excited since it’s the final round. I am all for the “fake it till you make it” - im really shy and this helps me a lot in situations. This video gave me a great insight! Praying for the best 🥲
Great tips and very pleasant to watch. :)
Hi there Ela! Thanks for the great tips! I must say we had very similar experiences with assessment centres. I also flopped my first one, I consider myself quite extroverted and have no trouble talking with others but damn, I did not show that in my first assessment centre. Nerves took over and I think I just got intimidated by how much my other team members knew about the topic. My second assessment was so much better but unfortunately I did not get accepted :(. I have my third one this coming week, wish me luck everyone!
How did it go :)
@@titilayomikomolafe5844 I guess it didn’t go well

Hey i need an answer as soon as possible. Do you need to bring a CV for a group assessment at aldi? I havent been asked to give one anywhere and i cant find anything when searching either
Thanks for the tips. But I feel so frustrating I have to go through so many interviews and assessment centers again and again.
How do you prepare for the shl test? I have a test coming next 2 days :(
what do you normally tell people to wear during assessment?
Anyone else doing these online? Are they still group exercises? I have a distillation assessment coming up and I'm not sure what to expect.
I have a group assessment interview for a consulting position on zoom tomorrow! so nervous but this was super helpful!!!!
What was it like?

thank you for advices, you're just beautiful.
I also like this video 'kind of thing' 😃
woww this seems hard ! going into finance next year. how hard were the SHL tests? (gcse, a level , degree level?)
I think it's around hard a-level, but there's a short time limit and so many questions to answer - made it so much tougher
Thanks for the video. I applied for a Graduate Project Manager Central Planning & Logistics in the Airbus Global Graduate Program. I passed the online behavioral based test and was sent a congratulatory message as the next step is an assessment center day. I don't even know how to go about it on the Accessment center day as I haven't don this job role before. Please, assist.
Could you recommend where I can practice numerical reasoning test?

Thank you
How was the excel test? Any tips for the disney assessment centre?
Thank you miss ELA
Are the assessment centres role-specific? I have one coming up for Software Development, so will everyone else who is there at the assessment centre be there for the same role? Or is there one person for Sales, one for Marketing, me for Software Development, etc? It would help to know this because then I can see the interview questions and group activity not being role-specific but more generalised.
Alex W same role usually

Hey how was it? i have mine soon
Ece 10 I had one for a trainee post and it went well.
I had two tasks: a role play & had to create a research study and then present it. I had 20 minutes to plan for both tasks. And then after that I had a formal interview in which I was asked strength based questions xx

I have an full day assessment centre coming up and I am so nervous. Specially about the individual presentation, this is only 3 min where I have to talk why I think my skills match the graduate program and what I can bring to the company that is unique, I cannot use PowerPoint. I want to do something that would standout but I don't have any ideas... is it bad if I just talk during these 3 min? what could I do to stand out during this individual presentation?
I have a full day assessment centre coming tmr and I also have same question since htye wont let me use ppt . how did you do it? could you share some tips pls.. thank you :)
