Omg I'm so happy you're reading Hornblower! I am curious to hear your thoughts on Lieutenant Hornblower. It's written from a different POV of William Bush, and it's great seeing an outside impression of Hornblower when he's not stuck inside his head 😂 I hope you enjoy the adventures to come!
Giallo July sounds fun. I think I'll read something for that, too.
I just found your channel because of the livestream and I love that you read very different books than me! It’s great to have recommendations outside my comfort zone 😊
Oh hey, thanks so much! Hope you find some good recommendations here
Giallo July! I do like Dario Argento's Giallo movies but in terms of books I haven't come across too much that reads like a slasher mystery so I'm very much looking forward to some recommendations Olly!
I talk about it a bit more in my TBR video, but it more refers to the way in which the books were published (with these iconic yellow covers) than the content - think classic crime from the 40s and you won't go far wrong
Nice wrap-up. Based on your mention I picked up the Jon Steele book. My library had the audiobook so I read it that way. I finished it but left the book thinking the first 250 - 350 pages could be cut or at least cut into and it would be a better read.
Yeah it’s definitely starting to drag
Romance Genre on this channel? WOOOOOOOOOOOO LFG🎉
Had to google LFG cos I'm old
@@CriminOllyBlog Haha it’s relatively new to me and I’m Gen Z
