John O'Shea finally joins the UTD Podcast this week, he sat down with us at Old Trafford and looked back on his 10+ years at the Theatre of Dreams.
Sheasy had so many iconic moments; nutmegging Luis Figo, the chipped goal against Arsenal at Highbury and the last-minute winner at Liverpool to name just a few!
He told us all about that and more, including the tough lesson he learned at the hands of Roy Keane, and why he thinks Sir Alex trusted him to play in every position at the club.

John Oshea was the kind of player who would guarantee you at least an 8/10 performance every week. Never got appreciated when he played. He was great. Hope he’s living a charmed retired life now. United legend.
Didn't appreciate O'shea enough when he was playing. So much more reliable than our current players

He was reliable but look who we had in the team when he broke through. Beckham, giggs, scholes, keane, ferdinand and ruud. Then rooney, ronaldo, vidic, rio and evra, van der sar. Oshea was a steady player but he wernt on the level of those guys.

More reliable and consistent than any of of current players, even our players in the past 5-6 years.
Also, to the guy who mentioned the likes of Rooney and all, everyone has a different role in the team, as long as it helps the team you’re doing fine.
Doubt you’d find the likes of him, Park among others in the UTD squad for the last few years
Mad stat about O'Shea is that he was the 8th most capped player under Alex Ferguson. Just shows how important he really was for United
Don't forget Fletcher bro
Sheasy played every position at Utd he even eneded up in goal one time 🤣 Very reliable player
Underrated player. So vital for SAF. He could play everywhere. He was always class. Even if not first choice he was so valuable. Great lad
Missed the old days when Manchester had players who can play multiple positions, perform consistently and played for the front of the jerseys:
O'Shea, Park, Fletcher, Brown
Swiss knife. Could play every position on the pitch.

I will always remember John O'Shea for 2 things, one was the audacious chip against Arsenal. The other was his position as a keeper against, Spurs was it?
I was literally watching the Arsenal game to be honest back then, alone at home, Roy Keane vs Viera set the tempo of the game... perfect way to sum things up with that goal.
Can’t forget his nutmeg against the legendary Figo 😂

Might not have always been in the starting 11 but he was always in the squad incase a center back....or full back ..or holding midfielder ...or late winner in front of the kop....or goalkeeper was needed🤣
But because he was so versatile, he played a huge number if games. He was playing most weeks.
