  • I'm converting a 2010 Ford Escape (FWD, 4-cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transmission) to an electric vehicle. In this video, I go over the Netgain Hyper 9 motor and inverter kit, and all of the parts that came with it.
    In the next video, I'll talk about the CanEVs adapter plate that mates the motor to the transmission bellhousing.

    Thanks for going over the details! appreciate the time spent in reviewing what the components are used for.
    I am planning to do something similar in the future and trying to learn as much as possible through videos such as these.

    Do you know of any other software it uses besides the presets on the motor, because I can't find it anywhere

      The motor itself doesn't have any software. The inverter uses the SME TAU interface. You can find the download and documentation for it on the Netgain website (go-ev.com)

    Does the mount come with the motor or did you buy it separately?

      The mount is an addon, I think it cost about $150.

    And about Brake regen, is it possible with this controller?

    • @reider_mcfeely
      @reider_mcfeely  Před 3 lety +1

      Yup! You can configure the amount of regenerative braking, and can switch between 3 preset amounts with one of the switches from the controller
