I just realized that if this is how the other diamonds were made, then that explains their size differences. Yellow is the biggest diamond out of white because she was full of anger The second most big feeling was her sadness and the reason why pink was so little is because she had a little joy
And she thinks she can’t be happy or She keeps raising her standards higher and higher. Remember what she said pink was the part of her she was always trying to repress. If this was remotely canon then that would explain why Pink was the Black sheep

I am a bit disappointed that their origin story was never explored in the series. Something was hinted at in a book, but it was covered by a black bar.

I always thought that White Diamond used to be Black Diamond but turned blank when she gave her color and emotions to create the other Diamonds. In my headcanon, she gave Yellow her determination and ambition to expand her empire, she gave Blue her stress and grief, and she gave Pink all that she had left, which was probably her exuberance and frustration.

We know Pink diamond came later than Yellow and Blue, so working off of this theory, here's another!
She created yellow and blue, taking off her anger and sadness. But she doesn't HAVE any joy. But, over time, without the sadness and anger inside of her anymore, she does find joy. And, (this is important) TOO QUICKLY, takes it out of her. But it wasn't enough because she took it out so soon. Anger and sadness had boiled inside of her for so long. Joy she tried removing too quickly, leaving her to be small.
She created her pearl by herself too but gave her a piece of everything.

Sure it's mind control, but it's also seeing deeper inside oneself and others. That trust had to be extremely high for White and allowing other gems inside White Diamond says a lot.

Just wish they would’ve acknowledged these bits in the actual show. Steven could have another heart-to-heart with White, Yellow, and Blue. They'd fully forgive each other, and Steven would acknowledge to all three of them, their blood relations. Yellow and Blue are his aunts, and White is his grandmother. Why couldn’t Rebecca put in THIS tear-jerker at some point?
I know like it would of made it even better and give us some back story like him trying to learn his Roots

I feel like white just formed one day and figured out how to replicate the process that made her. Through trial and error which resulted in off colors and malformed gems. Since White could never properly figure out how to do it perfectly 100% of the time.
Well...diamonds exists inside of dying stars,so maybe one star died , ended up being covered in strange non identified space matter ,and boom ,white diamond

I honestly think the Gems are von-newman machines. I.e., resource-harvesting AI's that got out of control and forgot their original builders and purpose, and just spread throughout the galaxy making more of themselves.

Correct explanation:
I went wayy off point, the pink dew drop is a drop, a tear drop, belonging to pink diamond, basically the pictures depict a asteroid crashing, breaking into two, having some pebbles fall out, then pink takes those pebbles and turns them into living creatures, with the help of her healing tears.
THAT’s what the pictures actually depict, pink being so fascinated with life, that she’s experimenting bringing things to life, or that she felt lonely and brought rocks to life to keep her company before spinel.
Wrong explanation:
From the music video "familiar"
Steven approaches Pink Diamond’s dressing table, in one part of the mirror, ( bottom left part I think) he opens up some gallery or some sort with a bunch of pictures, one was a picture of an asteroid crashing, the other was the picture of a some pink dew coming out with some pebbles, and the other one was the picture of the diamonds, where Blue, Yellow, and White weren’t smiling, but then, there was the picture of all four of them together, Pink, Blue,Yellow, and White, Blue and White and Pink are smiling ,
( Yellow isn’t though as she’s probably trying to be serious, but Yellow made it clear that she does love Pink)
probably indicating the Diamonds were happy when she came into existence.
Now on the other pictures, one picture where the Asteroid broke into 2 and a pink dew fell out, I don’t think it’s dew, rather it was a small pink diamond, and when it came out of the asteroid, the diamonds probably took the pink diamond stone in, and it formed into Pink.
There are also pebbles falling out, so those are probably the same pebbles that are present in Pink Diamond’s room that builds whatever she asks for , maybe they were already alive or maybe that Pink took the Pebbles with and with her tears , she brought them to life , as it’s possible as we can see Steven bring a stone from the pot from Pink’s dressing table to life when his tear drop fell on that specific pebble from the pot.
In short, I don’t think any of the diamonds created Pink Diamond, I think she and her pebble friends came from an asteroid that crashed , and when the asteroid broke into 2 pieces, her gem ( or her diamond) fell out of it along with the pebbles.

I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING
Basically, what we perceive as color is an illusion but theres certain color wavelengths that get absorbed and reflected to make things look certain colors
Black is all the colors absorbed while white is all the colors reflected
We sometimes associate colors with emotions too like red with anger, green with disgust, etc. In the diamonds case blue diamond is associated with sadness, yellow and anger, and pink with joy, while white is practically emotionless
Also, the other three diamonds (excluding white) also resemble the three primary colors which are yellow, blue (cyan) and magenta
Primary colors are the most basic colors and other colors can only be obtained by mixing them. And anger, sadness and joy are sometimes associated to be the most common or basic emotions
IF white created the other diamonds then that means that before she used to actually have emotions like any normal gem or human. But since she created the diamonds she reflected all the primary colors from her, and the emotions associated with those colors came with them leaving her emotionless

This is a really cool idea! My head-canon is that this is how Pink, Blue and Yellow Diamond were created now! Though i like to think White was created by literally just popping out of a planet one day, and after coming into existence she created gems herself so she would'nt be aloned, which eventually evolved into a whole society and at some point White Diamond stopped personally creating new gems and started using the machines seen in the show to automate the process (leading to the massive damage done to their planet ad we've seen, all because White wants more and more subjects to rule over without thinking about the sustainability of it.) or atleast that's my headcanon lol! Though i do really wish they would've atleast hinted at how the Diamonds were created since we know they made all the other gems, but their own existence has no explanation despite obviously having to come from somewhere! Like i wanna know if theres some other intelligent species in Steven Universe that created the Diamonds or if they just popped out of a planet someday! Like its such an interesting question that they never explore, and considering the technological parts of a Gem's existence it really makes me wonder how "natural" their existence really is!!! Like are Gems technically just really advanced computers housed within their gemstones?? Or are their gems like somehow formed in a way that simulates a human consciousnes and they just figured out how to give themselves "physical" forms by manipulating light into "hard"-light constructs after being sentient rocks for a while? And the gems made after the Diamonds gained consciousness and figured out how to interact with the world around them and like all the gems made after that just automatically have the knowledge on giving themselves physical forms implanted from "birth"?? Idk man its just interesting to think how the Diamonds could naturally come into existence if they weren't "created" by some other intelligent species, cuz if not that means White Diamond or whoever was first just "evolved" consciousness and the knowledge on manipulating light to create a physical form just naturally and White/the other diamonds just went on to make themselves an entire species to be apart of after naturally somehow popping out of their homeworld/potentially the surrounding planets with consciousness at some point millions of billions of years before the beginning of the show. Also, sorry the rambling lmao i just genuinely have had these questions/ideas for head-canons racking around in my brain ever since the diamonds were introduced, heck ive had some of these questions since i first saw the pilot months before the show came out (and man am i glad i did! I knew from the moment i watched the pilot i was gonna love the show! And man watching it as it came out was such an experience! Especially Season 1 and the big moment when Peridot and Jasper came to Earth, like i remembered watching the fight between Jasper and Garnet as it aired snd its a moment ill never ever forget!!! Probably one of the most fucking awesome moments of my childhood honestly seeing such an awesome fight paired with an amazing song, man you just had to be there to know how exciting it was! Especially Garnet being revealed as a fusion, that was insane to see actually be proven true, and even more awesome to see it be revealed as it aired and followed by the rest of an amazing Season Finale!!! Rest in Peace SU, sure the show had it's problems but man was it an experience worth being there for! And im glad i got to grow up alongside it and shows like Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, and Regular Show, all G.O.A.T's of the 2010s that im super glad i got to grow up watching, though the 2000s had amazing shows too that i thankfully got to watch aswell like Chowder, Dexters Lab, Edd Ed n Eddy, Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls, the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, etc etc all amazing shows im soo damn lucky to have grown up with! I got the best of the 2000s and the 2010s and i cant thank Cartoon Network enough for that, heck if it wasn't for Boomerang i would have never seen a lot of classic shows slightly before my time like PPG, Johnny Bravo or Samurai Jack! Thanks for all the memories CN and Boomerang! ((especially Boomerang that channel was a safe haven during the "CN Real' era since Boomerang still played all the classic CN Shows like PPG, Johnny Bravo etc, etc)) {anyways rant over lol sorry the last bit that was like entirely unrelated, i just really love Boomerang for introducing me to shows slightly before my era like PPG, Edd Ed n Eddy, Samurai Jack, Dexters Lab etc etc and CN for shows like Ben 10, Chowder, Billy and Mandy, and Flapjack which were airing during "my era" 😂😂😂

I like this idea but I have some constructive criticism.
If you look at the murals in the moonbase white diamond is descending from above, yellow and blue are floating in place, and pink comes from a planet below, this implies that while this may hold true for yellow and blue pink diamond most likely came from a special kind of kindergarten
I love this! Amazing job. But you have a few mistakes. First and maybe the biggest is "the most important part for White is joy" Even in the show she tell that she didn't like Pink for that for her attitude and joy, like it silly and dumb. And second Pearl would NEVER speak like that to her own Diamond. Excuse me what is that attitude?!?! It more will be like this: My diamond if may I speak, I think there is a solution to you're problem, what about the idea creating new rulers similar to you, that way you won't be so lonely and busy anymore

I made the idea that an advanced sentient humanoid race developed advanced technology. They experimented with gemstones and forms of energy for power capacity. This created the diamonds...FIVE of them. They did the same with the rest of the gems and eventually they became sentient and took on the forms of their creators and like mutants they were feared and led to war that destroyed their society and all gems except the diamonds. White took control of the five and rebuilt homeworld with the help of black adapting technology to create new gems that were smaller as subjects.

I have heard the theory that the purity of a stone is very important for a gem. Literally.
Therefore, White created them from her impurities (feelings or emotions) and became perfect (more on this below). She only needed to filter out the excess, and then the queue for the colonies. Create an infinite number of self-reproducing gems on other planets. To add hadcanon to this, gems got their own characteristics from White, because together with impurities, she gave part of herself and her capabilities. None of the gems can subdue others with their gaze - because this is pure ideal light.(Their bodies are made of light)
And it is necessary to reproduce other diamonds from emotions: yellow - anger, blue - sadness, pink - joy. That's just part of the joy left. This is the whole irony of her ideality. If she had given everything, she would have become a soulless machine for colonization.
From that point on what homeworld they say white diamonds heart decreased three sizes that day

The diamonds They left after a lightning split a planet in half, pearl said that they are made of light then my theory is that the lightning fell into 4 diamonds what were buried, thanks to this the diamonds came to life giving color to yellow, pink, blue, and finally white these did not know what to do and then white came up with an empire and called the planet split the planet home world
