If you’ve never used infinite delays, try this!

- Try feeding any sound into extreme delays! You can do this with any delay that can reach high feedback settings, in any DAW. It's great for transitions of for adding loose layers to something that's otherwise a bit "rigid" or programmed.

if i have to feed the algorithm, better be you
Absolutely😅
There is a way to automate this if you don’t have hardware with knobs or faders - or just want an aleatoric element in your track you only have partial control over.
Use an LFO & assign it to the element you want to “twiddle” & then assign a second one, set to random instead of sine which is assigned to the frequency of the of the first LFO. It’ll take some work to find the spots but once you’ve done it, save the whole thing as a grouped pre-set & you will always have it.
I recommend Echo with these pairs of LFO on the frequency, feedback & decay parameters.
delays with more than 100% feedback may be awesome on vocals. when I've tried it on EBM/Futurepop song, I've got it to sound like more or less distinct words that weren't present in original voice track! it's kind of sick. and the distorion due to delay output clipping is also nice
I can definitely see Sudbeat signing this track, couldn't focus on the tutorial because of how good it was.

Thanks Oscar. I've been struggling to find a transition into a break running at halftime speed. This is ideal! 😄
Such an awesome technique for transitions and more
loved this! I will apply it in a slightly different way! thank you :)
I love it! I haven't seen these techniques shown in any other video before!
very nice, thanks! was looking for something like this for months
More Tips like this would be great. Id love a tip on Daniel Avery style pads.
Really enjoy your teachings. Keep at it .🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔉🛸🔭 Thank you for always shining your knowledge upon us.
What controller were you using in this vid? 🙏
Love this technique. Definitely gonna try this as a break of a booming techno track :D
This is great Oscar, thanks. What is your midi controller there?
That looks ike the Faderfox UC4
Thats the one!
Daydream Repeat - Four Tet
has a similar buildup towards 1:20
Always like delay videos and see what people come up with, thanks !
I believe a decent (analog) delay should be the first buy after the 'first synth'. It will give life smoothness warmth body and movement to any source material, even thin crappy synths. And wayy better sounding than most onboard effects.
* Check out the Boss DM-101 delay, EIGHT analog BBD chips. Just got mine and I'm slightly delerious.
Gonna need to check it out!!
Thanks for the info
Also, could be a nice starting point for a techno rumble I think!
Look at the engagement in here!
thank you
Good explanation, sweet inspiration, great video! Thanks for sharing!!!
I love the video's preview so much😂😂😂
Nice job Oscar,
Kinda Underworld
Thank you Oscar
So I play guitar and borrowed an MXR analog delay pedal. Without playing a note, you can make gnarly sounds just twisting knobs. The important part is it has to be analog! I made some sick intros to slam metal songs in my old band just doing that.
I love this tutorial! I plan to try buying a midi keyboard controller that’s got a send/return (I’m not sure if this is a thing like a guitar amp) but I want to use my guitar/bass pedals to add to the plugins I have.
Oscar, can you make a video about your own vocals? I Love your content btw and I am always looking forward to the next one!!!
release this song please :) Ill get it off bandcamp.
The picture for this video 😂😂😂😂❤️🤛🏻
Huh, love some elements of delaying-delay sound: reminds me classical dub and psytrance at least
Great fun. Loads of scope here.
sneaky comment for you. awesome content as usual
There is sublime comedy in this video at times CHUK CHUK
cool!!
What’s the midi controller you are using?
Its called Faderfox, theyre pretty small i think as a company, great products!
At 5:00 Oscar have 3.03 on the delay :D
