So over three years after The Last of Us 2 and its ending, we are finally getting a remastered PS5 version of the game with The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered which will be releasing on January 19th, 2024 only on the PS5! In this first big update for the game we will be getting the long awaited Grounded II Documentary! Learn directly from the team at Naughty Dog about what it took to bring the acclaimed sequel The Last of Us™ Part II to life, with a new behind-the-scenes look at development. Idk if im tripping or not but the damage upgrade in the revolver got switched to accuracy

I hope that they will someday include stuff from the first game into no return like some maps, give Joel and Tommy their older animations, bring back the nail bomb, bring some characters that have pre-existing combat animations like Tess, Bill, Marlene, Henry, Riley, etc.
I think this would be really cool, because it wouldn’t make part 1 so separate from part 2 because it’s still the same franchise at the end of the day.

They should also bring back some maps from the first game, they could literally add some of the factions one maps and I think they would work pretty good. Or add new ones from the first game like sewers, the high school gym, the section where David and Ellie had to fight a ton of infected.

@@kobbsy7441 it would be cool if they did the skins for left behind, and the og game, plus they need to do backpacks cause not being able to chose your backpack is a big let down, especially in no return cause they reskin ellies backpack and reuse Abby's pack for certain characters like tommy and joel, so it would be cool to chose your backpack in game and in no return

The only reason why they scrapped it is because they would have had to focus all on that and would not have been able to make part 3 and other projects which idk about ya'll but I'll gladly sacrifice factions for part 3 any day but ya never know they may put factions in part 3 or after which I think they probably will do, they just didn't want to sacrifice what made them over an online multiplayer game and I get it, plus they gave us a ps5 updated version for part 1 and 2 so we have something to play in the meantime which is pretty nice of them, they could have been fuck it we'll scrap factions and they can just wait years for part 3 and or our other projects so hats off to naughty dog I'm grateful

unannounced IP game and Neil Druckmann just started co directing the filming of TLOU S2 on HBO in Canada, and are focusing on those things right now.
I'm pretty confident TLOU P3 won't be happening before 2027-28 if not later.
Co op would be amazing. Also maybe a custom character of some sort. Loving No Return so far. Longer runs with more encounters would also be cool.
I wish they would do a little spin-off DLC. Nothing crazy just like a 1 or 2 hour play of what exactly happened to "Ish" from chaper 6 in part 1. From when he got the boat to when his crew fell apart in the sewers. I think about it often when playing lol
Killing Joel was a bad decision.
I need to make this point. I see comments and people complaining about why the full salt crew isn't playable in no return but yet you get 2 characters like Manny and Mel still. Realise, when you play as Abby there isn't a moment you play with Owen, Nora, Issac during combat zones and they are by your side as a ally, so they don't have anything to base their playstyle from. Furthermore, Part 1 characters being added to the roster wouldn't make much sense as they don't make any appearance or are mentioned apart from a reference to Bill during the Seattle chapter. As cool as it would be to play as Bill, Tess or even Marlene- ND need to be realistic here. Right now- No Return might be perfect the way it is with its roster of playable of characters and over 20 levels of nothing but beautiful detail and better rendered environments along with a true survival experience mode in a game. My only critique is that the lost levels should have been implemented into the game for the remaster and being able to play online with friends.
The Kill Bill outfit would be perfect for this game since the movie is about revenge
No Return mode is awesome, but I really really hope they add co-op mode, including splitscreen co-op hopefully. Back in PS2 and PS3/Xbox 360 era, my best gaming experiences included splitscreen co-op with friends and family. It sucks that we no longer get splitscreen co-op support anymore, despite the far more powerful hardware.
Split screen would be nice for people like me who just can't afford to buy PS plus after they have had to pay all of their bills that involve living.
They had this bug since ps4 release: when u upgrade ellies pistol grip, when holstered the grip dissapears.. I mean small thing but how come nobody saw this since 2019
I just want them to make a multiplayer / duo for no return at the bare minimum. I was really looking forward to factions and i think if they at least put in a coop x2 gamemode for no return would be sick.
The first multiplayer was amazing i can only imagine how a part 2 would look with the graphics and gameplay we have now, hopefully one day.

What I'd like the most are unique animations for Joel and Tommy. Just weird seeing everyone move like Ellie and Abby. Then more customization for No Return, the ability to choose any map for a quick match and customize the rules, like for example add 20 waves of enemy, choose your partner or go alone. More skins for Joel, for example "Young Joel". More voicelines for them as well.
My only issue with the game at present is the animations. In this remaster, all playable characters end up climbing on top of things I’m trying to take cover behind, leading to me getting accidentally spotted. They really need to fine tune it. It’s similar to the old AC games where it was hit or miss that you would actually do what you were trying to do.

No return needs Part 1 levels and characters
Here's what they should do for no return in the future:
- Give Tommy and Joel the Ability to dodge, damnit!!
- Change Joel's revolver to house 6 rounds instead of 12 (realism people!!)
- Add more custom guns (Jesse has his own pistol, for example)
- Give all characters (excluding Abby & Ellie) their own combat & traversal animations (for Joel, maybe just use his animations from pt 1??) I'd also give them more, and even more authentic voice lines.
- A mode where you fight other Characters.
- Co-op gameplay?? (Please???)
For extra
- I'd like to see a skin for Ellie where she's in her flannel when returning to her farmhouse, and a Santa barbara skin for Abby. I think it'd also be cool to get a Bella Ramsay and Pedro Pascal skin of Ellie & Joel. Speaking of skins, please Naughty dog, allow for skins to be played through cinematics without reverting back to the natural skins in certain points of them. Please?

Finally got the no return grounded trophy yesterday and damn, that was tough. Took me multiple attempts to do it but now that Part 2 remastered is at 100%, I feel better. Can’t wait to see the grounded 2 documentary.

I have a bug where my custom options, aim speed, hud changes, motion blur, fov, ect. Keeps resetting every time I boot the game up. Anyone else having this issue?

I wish they would fix the stupid transparency glitch with Ellie’s handgun, where her upgraded grip disappears when holstered and you can see the pistol’s mechanics.

Im doing permadeath story mode over again b4 I do anything else as when I 1st loaded it up, nothing transfered over so I figured it would be the best to get that out the way but then after I started everything loaded in all trophies weapons and crafting spects ect... Me and my friend both love the last of us so we were gutted when factions 2 was cancelled and the fact no return didn’t launch with coop so I really hope they do add it huge missed opportunity there as the last game that nd made that had any kind of multiplayer whatsoever was uncharted 4 which released almost 8 years ago
So me and I’m sure many other last of us fans who’ve just wanted to chill and fight infected along side a friend will finally get that, fingers crossed

I just finished playing TLOU-1 Remastered on my rtx 4080 PC and waiting for the 2nd part to be released on the PC port. The first game was simply amazing (still need to play the Left Behind dlc but I don't wanna finish this game yet as it's so beautiful tbh and wishing more adventures of Ellie and Joel). It just felt like I started playing yesterday as little Ellie and Joel, making friends and enemies while becoming the best duo team and fighting all their way through the city to reach to the Fireflies... and then, all of a sudden, Joel takes a decisive turn to save Ellie - in whom he found his daughter Sarah and the climax changes.
And now seeing the vids, I already know the plot of part-2, which is equally going to be visually breathtaking and awful for the heart...sigh! I know that! But still, I'm going to play it.
If situations were reversed in the first part and Abby would've killed Joel, Ellie's only parent-figure, then it would've been a one-directional plot of Ellie taking the revenge. But Joel killed Abby's dad in order to save Ellie, and also Marlene who raised Ellie like a daughter. And he stopped the hopes of making a vaccine. If I were in Ellie's situation, I would be devastated knowing that someone innocent got killed in my place by the same person whom I love and trust the most in the world because all he wanted was to save me. He chose me over the world. In case of Abby, I would be deeply shattered too knowing that my father was killed who was just doing his duty, finding some hope for humankind. Last year I lost my dad, so I know his importance and that emptiness in life. Abby's revenge in the 2nd game is expected. Or it would've been someone else whose family or friend Joel killed. Tess, Henry, Sam, and Joel...gosh!! We get connected with a character and the game kills them.
I wish this game could be more choice-related where multiple endings are possible like Detroit Become Human but then I would be talking about a different developer and everybody has a different approach to make their games which I respect. Watching behind the scenes makes us realise the amount of effort and time the entire team gives to make a game. We just play it. Giving opinions is easy.
Sorry for my bit lengthy comment lol as I couldn't keep my words about the experience I had with this game.
Too bad you got spoiled by the big event that kicks off the story (happened to me when it was released in 2020), but this way when you play the game you will be in a better position to compare Ellie’s journey with that of Abby’s. Laura Bailey’s voice performance as Abby won her awards. Listening to the commentary during this game, you learn how much the entire team, not just Neil, put in the work and thought about each little thing in the plot. It really is a masterpiece of a story.
Well it’s very easy to see why he chose Ellie over the vaccine. Since you played the first game you’ll know from the recordings found in the Hospital that there was very little chance of Ellie surviving. And they didn’t even give her much choice to begin with. They just immediately put her under the knife to be operated on. They were hostile with Joel when he showed signs of resisting this decision, idk about you but I would have saved Ellie too rather than humanity.
@@mannyrodriguez3933 This is why the game is so well made. Until reaching Tommy's Dam, neither (Joel and Ellie) knew they would form such a close bond. And that's what Joel had been fearing from the beginning by suppressing his emotions towards Ellie lest it would bring back all the trauma and grief of Sarah's death. But eventually, after the bandits' attack and Ellie's revelation to Joel at the Ranch House, he developed a softer side.
He found a purpose to live, and the hardest part of loving someone is the fear of losing them. For Joel, he wasn't ready to carry the wound again of failing to protect his daughter-like Ellie. Love is the strongest bond that can possibly go against all odds in the world. If I were in Joel's place, I, too, would've chosen Ellie over humanity or died trying to save her till my last breath.
Because you're right...the Fireflies didn't give Ellie much of a choice. She was merely an asset to them. They put a child at risk in the operating chamber (soon after she got senseless from drowning while saving Joel), sacrificing a young life in the futile hope of saving a large mass.
They should bring back Ellies ponytail
I wish that the characters in no return used the weapons that they use in game. I don’t like that everyone has to use the selection of weapons that Abby and Ellie used with the exception of Tommy’s rifle.
I have some ideas for new characters. Maria and Bill for Ellie's side then we have Owen and Nora for Abby's side.
I'm surprised they didn't have Owen instead of Mel!!! Maybe that will be a new character in the Update! The only onevon Ellie side is maybe Maria but I'm satisfied with Team Ellie ! Anyone got any other choices?

I was just on a video where a guy said Naughty Dog had no balls because _when they killed the beloved main character from the first game_ they wanted you to sympathize with Abby but they didn't give the players a _choice_ about whether or not to follow through on their revenge.
It's funny how people will twist themselves into knots criticizing, to say something as absurd as an obvious cop out, would be the "bold" narrative choice. I'm really interested in Naughty Dog's perspective on the game they made.

It's a trade off for them having more health against melee, and having a custom upgraded weapon. Don't expect ND to add dodging for them....
they made the wrong decision, cos p2 gameplay combat mechanic involves a lot of dodging so you cant play like p1 in p2, also p1 has a counter mechanic and they didn’t even put it here for joel and tommy. So i hope nd sees our feedback and maybe they would change their mind and add a dodge for both of them later on.
@@limitless1181 That would make them too OP. Like I said, they already have custom upgraded weapons, Joel has over 10 revolver bullets from start and a upgraded melee weapon. Tommy's sniper is also OP as hell. Most characters are pretty balanced IMO.
And its realistic, they are both in their early fifty's so they aren't as agile or nimble as they used to be like all the other characters who are still in their youth.

They probably won't but I'd like them to make it so Joel and Tommy can't get totally stun locked by melee hits as well as Joel and Tommy's punch combos much less likely to be interrupted.

Yeah I’m aware people can use accessibility settings to get high scores seems they need to fix some things to make sure scores are more legit because who knows how many use that stuff

I think I would rate it an 8 out of 10 which is fair considering they added the No Return Mode and the Lost Levels and other cool additions in The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered! The graphics are amazing as well! I love the skins that Naughty Dog added for all of the characters in The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered as well! Especially Ellie's skins! They are the best ever! I can't wait to unlock all of them and do a New Game Plus run with one of her new skins too! I'm almost done with Ellie's section in Seattle right now and I'm currently on her final day too. Personally I think Ellie's section in The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered is the best part of the game in my opinion because of how awesome she is and how she never gives up no matter what! She's so cool and tough! She rules! Go Ellie!💖💖💖
