I’ve been the new girl so many times, and here’s a major tip: don’t start off with a bad impression. Be nice to everyone you meet, don’t be cocky, and dress to impress!! Don’t be on your phone when someone is talking to you, smile when they say hi, and don’t show that you’re nervous!

@@pykechew3763 hey I've started school now, and lunch might kinda suck for the first week or so before you make friends. you might just be sitting alone or with a couple other loners who don't want to talk to you. my main advice is just start making friends. birds of a feather flock together, and chances are if you like one friend you'll like the group of people they tend to hang out with. that's not to say you can only be in one group, but groups tend to eat lunch together, so you'll start having people to sit with.
I don't think anybody necessarily likes being the new kid, but I promise you that it does get easier and easier the more you step outside your comfort zone. Good luck!!

You can manage this! Be careful with that word "hope." It's very passive. Turn that hope into a commitment. If learning how to manage and prevent panic attacks is something you really want for you, you can absolutely make that happen.

Hey there! I wouldn't overthink it too much....that worry will only stress you out more. Just take minute by minute. When you get on the bus, choose the seat that feels right in the moment, same thing with lunch. Find a familiar face in lunch (someone you had a class with) and try that!

All you can do is be 100% yourself- you are who you are no matter what environment you're in...might take some adjusting but I'm sure that in time, people will come to see and know you for your sweet diva personality 😉
I live in Texas and my parents just told me that we're moving to Ohio after the school year is over. I've been crying ever since they told me. You're FEELING petrified because of the thoughts you have about moving schools. Take a look at your thinking. How do you want to feel? What would you have to think and believe to feel that way? For example, "Everything will work out as it's meant to." Or..."What if this turns out to be a great thing!"

I've been with the same classmates for 12 years, now I'm gonna be the new kid in a new school, from a different city! Im EXTREMELY nervous!!! I'm so happy because the city is cooler than the city I'm in, but I'm the cool kid here, everyone loves me I'm like the sweet diva if that makes sense... what if that whole image is gone when i go there? I dont want that to happen!!! I spent too many years building it!
All you can do is be 100% yourself- you are who you are no matter what environment you're in...might take some adjusting but I'm sure that in time, people will come to see and know you for your sweet diva personality 😉

I live in Texas and my parents just told me that we're moving to Ohio after the school year is over. I've been crying ever since they told me. I love the middle school that I'm in already and I truly don't want to change schools. I'm mostly sad because I was positive that I would spend the rest of my life in Texas. I guess not...
Hey! Change is always hard and it's OK (and necessary to grieve it). Once you've moved through the initial grief, then you can decide whether or not you're going to RESIST this move or be willing to be wrong about what you had expected and embrace it!

Maybe you can set up a day to hang out with your cousin and a few of her friends before school starts. This way you meet a few people before the big day to ease your nerves!

I know everything will probably be ok when I'm confident. 3 reasons why I can be confident.. Hmm. 1:I'm from Sa so people will probably want to talk to me about that 2: I'm friendly/trustworthy and I can make other people comfortable around me 3: I'm unique I guess..?😂 lol

Well I mean I'm going into a new CLASS and I'm a very shy and not very outgoing too :/// so this didint help me much especially in a LANGUAGE school like I moved to Denmark 2-3 months ago and I was in 1st grade but I was supposed to be 3rd grade so yeah I got comfortable in my new school and new class and now I'm moving to another CLASS I'm terrified but also very exited **nervous laugh** new people, new teachers, NEW STUDENT HIGHTS XD!!! For example, "Everything will work out as it's meant to." Or..."What if this turns out to be a great thing!"
